On the contrary, the quest-giver for gathering vitrified souls to charge the Meridian lens mentions that there are invasions all across Tamriel, and marks known locations-- the invaded delves and public dungeons-- on your map for you. The reason this was done was for players who don't have access to Solstice.

And the invaded delves and public dungeons are part of the ongoing Golden Pursuit.
Kill 3 Invaded Delve or Public Dungeon Bosses Kill bosses at marked delves and public dungeons across Tamriel.
Kill 10 Invaded Delve or Public Dungeon Bosses Kill bosses at marked delves and public dungeons across Tamriel.
Players who don't have access to Solstice can go to these locations and kill bosses for the ongoing Golden Pursuit.

Why?I completed it once for the achievement and will never waste my time on it again.
- Takes too long to kill
- 1 shot mechanics
- Garbage rewards
So your complaint is it's more difficult than usual a WB? The issue isn't the boss, it's the players wanting ez-mode.
Ez-mode or not, why put effort into it more than once if all you get is a piece of blue gear?
I found and read the new book someone mentioned by the WB quest-giver (who I hadn't visted in a long while, so I didn't know it was there), and last night I stumbled upon the new WB while searching for a random mini-incursion so I can finish off the red carmine Soul Trap skill style. I was able to survive it for several minutes fighting solo, although I was barely putting a dent in it. Then another player showed up to help, and we fought it together for several more minutes, still barely putting a dent in it. Then the other player got one-shot, and I was back to fighting it solo, which lasted maybe another minute at most before I was also one-shot.
As far as the talk about rewards, I think focusing on rewards is the wrong way to play a game. I think players should be able to engage with challenging content just for the fun of it. Playing for rewards rather than for fun is never going to keep players playing, because once they obtain all of the potential rewards (which are just pixels on a screen, anyway) then they won't have any more incentive to engage with the content. And if they think the potential rewards "just aren't good enough" in the first place, then they won't even engage with the content long enough to get all of the potential rewards.

Maybe they're looking for the steam-powered senche mount.
