Though to be fair, this being a public discussion forum, you cannot set rules about people being able to post in your thread. People are free to opin within the rules of the forum.

Of course. In my post, I said, "Of course, nobody can control what anyone posts in a thread..." However, as I stated, it does show that people tend to complain here. Even when asked not to, and there are plenty of other places in the same subforum to do so, some of them still will.

I think it's an inevitable consequence of having an official forum. People who just want to chat about the game will go to whichever platform they prefer, whether that's here, Discord, reddit, social media, whatever, but people who want to complain without feeling like they're shouting into space will always come here, because it's where they've got a chance of ZOS seeing their feedback.

It's definitely not platform related, because I've seen the exact opposite for games which have a fan forum and an official Discord - the forum is mostly positive (or at least neutral) with people chatting about the game and the Discord feels like scrolling through endless lists of complaints, because it's where people go to get their complains heard.

You kind of countered your first point with your second. :) I agree somewhat with your first point. If someone has a complaint or a problem, they'll probably figure the best place to be heard by ZOS is the official forum. But I've played many games over the years and hung out on many forums (for both MMO and SP games), and they haven't been like this forum. Yes, there were complaints and habitual whiners and such, but not to the degree as there are here, where the majority of the threads are just complaining, and there are multiple threads complaining about the same thing. IOW, there's a lack of balance here that's been present on most of the official forums I've hung out on.
When I was a new player and wayshirined into Alikr near a domen just at the right moment. Seeing 30 plus players mounted up and running past you is EPIC for the first time.

The very first day I went into Alik'r, I was mystified by all the x, y, a, b, z, etc. in zone chat. I had no clue what it meant and kept wondering about it while questing. Figured it out at some point, but still remember being mystified in the beginning.

So you saying the forums are as unbalanced as the game? 😋

I wanted to leave my general feedback about the event and how I'm feeling about the state of the game at the moment.

Firstly, the positive: I've played the game since beta, and took multiple year breaks. I always come back. I really enjoy the storytelling, the atmosphere, and the game mechanics. I don't expect to stop playing any time soon.

I have noticed the level of quality significantly reduced in recent weeks/months. Things like:
    - people being able to get into Eastern Solstice
    - Antiquities sites popping in Eastern Solstice (I'm avoiding antiquities in Solstice till this is fixed).
There's more, but I'm not recalling them all at the moment. It feels like the game is getting lower funding, and QA is being outsourced.
I was excited to play the Writhing Wall Event, and spent a bunch of time getting caught up on the story so that I could play the event. I was very disappointed with the event. Some of the quests were frustrating (getting items from animals across Tamriel). Eventually, I've settled into a daily pattern of doing just 3 quests per day for the 3 daily golden chests. I generally do one invasion, and gather the vitreous souls from it, and do one crafting quest. There's simply nothing compelling for me to spend any more time on this event. I suspect given the slowdown in phase progress, that many others are doing the same thing.

One annoying thing that continues to bug me is that I have 2 quests stuck in my log for the event that I'm guessing will remain there till the wall is down.

As I said, I'll continue to play the game. I really hope you don't break the base game, and some of that content. I hope you guys figure out this transition you're having and get back on track.

Question: Will the style pages, house, and fragments still drop/be available after the event is over?

    Notes:
-The event world boss really should have had a daily quest and golden coffer tied to him.

-I'm still getting quite a few vitrified souls dryspills for some reason. Sometimes I get enough for the quest two or three camps in a row, and sometimes I don't get any vitrified souls at all for 5+ camps.

Bruh, what is happening since the latest patch? I don't even get Writhing Bone fragments for the skill style anymore.

It's unbalanced, as always. I got 4 today.

Phase 2 is decidedly underwhelming and frustrating all at the same time. I wanted to love it, was excited to experience a new event style and just get into it. ESO as a whole has always been a happy game for me to immerse myself in until now.

I don't even want to log in now. I've been with the game for many years both on PC and PS4 NA, and now I just want nothing to do with the game. That's how annoying this event has become, especially due to the "invasions" of the delves blocking me being able to complete them normally. Instead of bringing that negativity into the game, though, I just ... don't log in.

Granted I have a lot to do irl otherwise, but in my down time I'd rather stare at the wall, sleep, whatever. Just too tired of this mess at this point to even have the energy to try and get back into it. I genuinely feel like you're not even trying anymore. The drops on the concurrent events feels like obligation rather than enthusiasm on your parts, and not even going to get into the collection quest drops again. It's not worth it.

This, I think, is the really disappointing part. I choose to believe that most people didn't actually believe the marketing bull about once in a lifetime, world changing blah blah. But for myself, this being a new event type and all the hype they built surrounding it, I didn't expect this. I'm an officer in a social guild. We made rosters for our members to event farm the whole week of the start of phase 1. Everyone was disappointed with it, the rewards, the messed up (as finally admitted by Zos) drop rates for fetch quests items, just an all around disappointment. This doesn't mean that there were no highlights. The groups we made were great fun, we had a blast together goofing around in PSN voice chat while grinding. I also like that the siege camps are actually a challenge if there isn't a zerg there. But then to have the highlight of phase 2, a WB with no quest or back story, just turned off for us on console was just more added consternation.
There's been a couple white knights here that would defend anything Zos does but can anyone honestly say they love this event. Hope it returns every year? Want more just like it? I'm glad Zos tried something new but it becomes obvious they're trying to give us less for more money and not hiding it well. Pair that with game breaking animation memory changes, poor balance, this years poor reception of the content pass. Solstice as a whole being a poor Q4 dlc size 50 dollar package and people might be forgiven for becoming angry with the state of the game and their worry for the future.

Writhing Wall update. We are pleased to see so many players jumping in and contributing to the effort to bring down the Writhing Wall. While progress has been steady, we have heard the feedback that the event feels like its taking a bit too long. With that in mind we are going to make an adjustment to speed up contributions across all realms so that players can experience the Writhing Fortress and Eastern Solstice as soon as possible. This has been a tremendous effort for everyone involved and we appreciate those that have dedicated the time to the event. Player contribution still matters but your contributions going forward will matter more. Thanks!

    Finally, some good news :)

Events are cool and all, but access to pre-paid content months in advance should never be behind a gigantic grind, or any grind at all.

There is drip feed, and then there is driiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip feeeeeeeeeed.

I know this is the first time for ZOS doing this new year format release, but I hope they learn a lot of lessons on a technical level, but also pacing, rewards and communication going forward.

    Oh, thank God.

An effort was made, but thinking 1.5 - 2 months of grind for abysmal loot drops was a swing and a miss. Especially given the pre-hype for it. Sorry. :(

Bravo sir. This is the hearing and acting on feedback in real time that folks are talking about.

Now we need to fit this into the ESO lore.

The worm cult won the war by wearing us out through boredom, but in a serious plot twist it is revealed that Sotha Sil has a brother called Zos' Kevin who influences the war effort and speeds up time in an effort to help us poor zealots so the true battle can begin.

@ZOS_Kevin Then why does the progress for PS-EU suddenly dropped from 85% to 16.6% in game?

"PS-EU had a bug where it's progress has been reset to 16%. We have identified the issue but ohhhh sorry, the fix won't be ready till update 52. We know this isn't ideal but we just know PSEU will rally a redouble their efforts for this once in a lifetime event."
