golden pursuits

I'm already at 29/28. Wasn't trying to hit the capstone today, but there's a good bit of overlap, so it happened faster than I was expecting.
I have just one more that has a reward attached; the 20 vouchers for crafting 500 items with any crafting skill (I'm at 169/500). My daily crafting writs on my four crafting characters will handle that.
I'll get some of the other unfinished harvesting ones done just naturally before the 20 days is up, but those don't have any rewards attached, so I'm not gonna sweat it.

I had 4 attunable tables (1 each) in my bank, put the new tables in the bank, now I have 3 blacksmithing tables and only 1 jewelry crafting table. 1 of the blacksmithing tables is not bound, the other 7 tables are...

Anyone else have this issue?

Thank you for the Golden Pursuits. They are super easy to complete this time and the rewards are very nice. And combining that with a week of ESO+ trial is a great idea. That's really decent. Thank you very much, ZOS

I've just started played on PC to help my daughter out. As a playstation veteran I know to focus on crafting so I'm probably ahead of the average new player, but it's still been challenging. I'm still a long way off from having crafting levelled and master writs are still a pipe dream but I'm getting there - it's definitely not quick for a newbie tho

Agreed, this one was quick but that wasn't the best part. The rewards were actual rewards I can use. Even if it had taken a few days it would have been worth the time.

It would be nice if things like this were applied to other activities, like event tickets.

Loved the rewards for this one. As someone who actually enjoys just chilling and running around collecting materials, this one felt like a breeze. 1,500 seals, a load of writs/vouchers and attuneable stations? Yes please.

Love getting craft tables for my house, but I've always been confused by the idea of attunable stations. The "best" sets are always changing so I never know what i should use it on, and once you've crafted the set, you're not going to craft it again, so what is the point? I guess I can see collecting them for guild houses (not possible in this case) but never once have I visited my guild house to use a station; I just find them in the wild.

If you do a lot of master crafting writs, it's nice to have all the stations in one place.

But there are so many possibilities, what are the chances you'll have the right station?

I use the ones in my Guild's house for any of the Cyrodiil/IC craftable sets that come up in writs. Also, if I happen to have multiple I can complete at once, that's easier than running all over Tamriel.

Thank you for the Golden Pursuits! I think that combining them with the ESO+ free trial makes them possible to complete for both new players and veterans. And I like the rewards!

For example, when I'd create like 25 axes to deconstruct them, it would freeze when I'd press craft, and also freeze when deconstructing multiple too. There are times I've crafted large amount of items and never experienced it before, so this is the first time I've ever had this happen during this golden pursuit. Nothing game breaking, and only very brief, so not sure if it was because there's lots of people in the zone all doing crafting?

Why can you not put the crafting station rewards into the Furniture Vault?
But the crafting station rewards can be put into the other storage boxes you can get?

I noticed this as well - my thought was maybe something's going on in the background with processing large crafting requests and updating the golden pursuit progress.

I may be wrong, and please correct me if I am, but I think they're not considered furnishing until they are actually attuned and so cannot be placed in the furniture vault. (I've not actually tested if they can even after that point and can't do so right now).

I think it's because they aren't actual furnishing until you attune them. They're slottable items.

I have some some attuned crafting stations from before and they can go in the vault once they have been attuned to a set.

I'm glad it's one that can be done quickly, I couldn't really start on it today and after Sunday I'm not sure how often I'll be able to log in.

I appreciated the ESO+ free trial for the same reason. I'd started thinking it might be a good idea to buy a month then realised August would be a terrible time to do that, but now I can deal with the most "urgent" bits like rearranging the trees in my main house now, and get more subscription time later when I'll actually be able to use it for the less important and more time consuming stuff like updating dyes on costumes.

Yeah, I got freeze for about half of minute maybe almost minute. At my house, so I doubt about zone issue. ( @ZOS_Kevin sorry no footage )
I learned Alchemy on alt and made about thousand of potions. I thought that game kicked me.

Yeah, I had that too, when I made a bunch of trial potions. Hasn't really happened since though.

I assume it was just the fact that it completed several Pursuits at once so it needed a second to make sure everything went through.

As for why you wouldn't have seen this before, it could be that the culprit addon is monitoring GP progress and doing something in response.

As for why you wouldn't have seen this before, it could be that the culprit addon is monitoring and GP progress and doing something in response.

I have my doubts, considering that I had it and I have zero crafting addons or addons monitoring progress, while a friend with a completely different set of addons also had the issue as shown in the stream above.

Furthermore, I have not had the issue since. It really was only the first time I crafted something, which specifically completed four Pursuits at once, meaning it also gave several rewards at the same time. Both my friend and I started the Pursuit by crafting stacks (200-400 units) of potions.

It seems the culprit is if a player is doing a bulk task to complete multiple pursuits simultaneously which gives one or more rewards. This would also explain why players who are doing smaller tasks (like only crafting one item at a time) aren't seeing issues since that would not fulfil several objectives with a single click.

Note that I'm sure addons can exacerbate the problem though. Mine only froze for a few seconds, as did my friend's. We're not seeing any 30-second freezes.

I experienced this on my main account while crafting potions (with add-ons on). I then reproduced it on 2 more accounts with NO ADD-ONS enabled. The duration of the freeze is longer when the number of items crafted is larger, i.e. more golden pursuits were completed at once as a result of them.

I didn't get footage of it @ZOS_Kevin , but for me it briefly froze when I crafted 1000 provisioning items at once, which completed multiple individual pursuits at the same time (specifically the "Craft 10 Items with any skill", "Craft 50 items with any skill," "Craft 100 items with any skill," "Craft 500 items with any skill," and "Craft 50 items with the provisioning skill" ones). This should be reproducible by the team, because I did the exact same thing on 3 different accounts, and each time the game froze briefly.

Seems to me like the freezing is caused by the game checking off multiple pursuits simultaneously.

Thank you for the videos. I encounter the same thing on the login screen. When switching characters, there is a noticial delay before the new character shows up. This started with the last major patch drop. I bet if they test this bug before that patch drop, it would not delay.

I'm seeing the same freezing for large quantities, and I have absolutely no add-ons (not even downloaded but disabled)
