What's the sense to raise the cap so often? Cause there is no real endgame content?
They cheat and use exploits. How are people getting to these levels so quickly? it's taken me 3 weeks to get to level 27 and I play 15 hours a day.
In the grouping tools video the characters are VR13... And I also read, that the max. is VR20. For me it destroys the game...I would like to reach max level and enjoy the endgame: get a nice gear, than gear sets, refine them to legendary, participate in dungeon or raid runs and when I'm bored of it, roll a new character. But like this:
- I'm just VR6 but I'm already bored of the endless questing
- I don't want to make a new char and try a new class and grind through everything again to reach V10
- It's pointless to craft a legendary armor and use 56 dreugh wax for example for refining .... and a lot of stuff what ppl already complained about.
What's the sense to raise the cap so often? Cause there is no real endgame content? I would stop the cap at V10 and release raids, dungeons with special sets, what ppl can collect together and I would start a token system, cause like this it's kinda pointless to repeat the veteran dungeons... I could write so much about a better endgame... Maybe it's just me, but I really don't like the future plans now.
We don't need more end game levels, we need more end game content. We all know in other games like WoW the game doesn't even start until you hit max level.
I'm one of those Max lvl "beat the game" players. While I agree that this sucks for getting max gear etc, I believe an arbitrary lvling system would be better. For instance, the max lvl where you get a skill point or stat point would end at VR10, all armor would stop at VR10, but you can continue leveling throughout the time you play. Not only would this solve the issue of endgammers, but also solve the issue of people like me who beat the game at max lvl. I've always wondered why games don't put in an arbitrary leveling system that goes up x% XP needed for each additional lvl. That way, a lvl VR10 would be equivalent to a VR50, but the level would show the time played and stuff completed.
You bring up an interesting point and I hope ESO does not go down the same treadmill for elitists design that SW TOR had. Be geared and know fights Anyone who has played TOR knows this basic elitist requirement for the harder group content.
I really hope we don't just have an end game consisting of a typical treadmill progression of doing Daily and Weeklies properly geared and knowing fights for group content.
The difference to WoW and SWTOR is, that grouping in those games only works for premades.
You either have a guild or you get into a pug from the chat. In both cases you will have someone in charge who is "elite" so to speak. Someone who has a very special idea how you MUST be if you want to enter. This makes the whole group content so difficult to access at these games.
ESO works different. The Dev´s answered my question at the last "ask us all" and they said, that everyone can go to the new Adventure Zones alone. You will be able to quest just like you do now at VR´s. No premade grouping required, but yes it will be hard, very hard.
Since it is so hard in the open world there, you can either use the group tool to find players, or you just tag along with others - no invite button needed or "proving your weight" necessary.
The trials and dungeons will be for your group, but you will be able to use the group tool for those as well.
They have a video up which explains this very well, three players are from the friend list and the fourth is a random form the tool. This will make that whole VR content accessible for players who might not have the time for a premade group.
We will need to see how this works out, I honestly hope that people will accept and adjust to the difficulty there and that they use the tool to group with others. If it works out, then ZO will have fixed one of the biggest issue´s at WoW, SWTOR & co. the Elite club that denies "casuals" content.

If I'm not pursuing getting gear, what am I supposed to be doing in your game?
At first sight I'm the same. Given VR11-VR12 content is group-only I fear this means ESO is to become a 1990s group-or die affair.

I like that solo casual players that don't want to be geared or know fights can tag along without having to pull their weight. So no private solo or group instances? Great news overall, thanks for pointing those facts out to me.
this is true, too. I bought both of my sons the game (aged 14 and 21), and neither one of them will play due to "crappy pvp" and no end content. They haven't even activated their 30 free days.
Not the whole zone, but most of interesting things in it. From the Craglorn AMA:

My impression was that the entire zone was instanced. Wheres the transcript for that ama?
I can't take this game as an ES game, so I play it as an MMO, but it's not a good MMO. For me it's not a goal, to always level up, cause it's not fun, not at all. Instead I would like to see some interesting raids and dungeons, what also gives rewards.
