I like the CP level system how it is
One aspect I'm not entirely satisfied with is that, despite being CP3600, it's still insufficient to have all the stars fully maxed. That said, I typically only need to swap out a star or two depending on the encounter, so it doesn't pose a significant issue.

More frustrating still is the fact that reaching the top offers no meaningful recognition or reward.
Ideally, there should be a reward that visually sets your character apart, something that makes them look like more than just another person. Aesthetic effects like a subtle glow, a dark mist, or a unique animation, similar to Psijic Meditation, could reflect their status and power. After all, reaching the top should make your character feel like the demi-god they’ve become.

The developers have stated on multiple occasions that they avoid implementing such visual rewards in order to prevent players from feeling obligated to grind to CP3600. However, I find that reasoning difficult to understand. If the reward is purely cosmetic and offers no gameplay advantage, then it becomes a matter of personal choice. Only players who genuinely like the visual effect and aren’t yet CP3600 would choose to pursue it. I don’t see how that would be an issue, it’s an optional incentive, not a requirement.

As for the rest, the system functions adequately and serves its intended purpose well enough.

It’s good enough. The green tree changes took care of my big concerns. Any more changes might be detrimental.

I don't like the CP level system and would like to see the following change:
I've reached 3600cp and find it absurd there is no reward for it.

I don't like the CP level system and would like to see the following change:
Bring back the original 1.6 CP system, fully uncapped. Sub-class has already ruined the game, nothing else matters anymore. At least chasing the cp 3600 grind will truly mean something again and reward the hardcore players with appropriate power-level.

I think that ideally it should be uncapped and provide means of meaningful vertical progression.

Alas I don't think the dev team would be on board with this 'philosophy' and is much more likely that if they were to touch the red or blue constellations it would be to 'rein in' and 'peel back' instead.

Therefore I will just accept that XP is meaningless (for) now - I have already hit the cap and levelled all skill lines/skills/morphs on every one of the 20 character plus the subclassing lines (thank you for that 'present', it really made the 'investment' in leveling them up multiple times already... 'shine') in my main account , except WW because they've turned it into an RP skill line and 5 characters that can RP as such is enough for me - and just go hit the cap on another account.

I like the cp system. I do wish it was possible to slot a 5th star. I still wish the green tree was just pure passives, but I am very glad they recently made a lot more of it into passives.
Also wish the cap was higher I regularly see people with cp3600, and it would be nicer if you could just keep earning xp.

I have almost 2700 cp. I do not do rnd's or that kinda thing to level faster, but I used to do a few hundred master writs at xp events for the gold gains. Hitting the 1500-1800 cp level that afforded me max power was great, but I've also enjoyed the extra cp that have helped unlock nice stuff in the green tree, and gives extra easy flexibility in the other two trees.

I don't like the CP level system and would like to see the following change:
Get rid of the Blue and Red trees and make everything QoL related.
It will level the playing field a bit more in PvP and help witht he power creep in PvE.
ZOS can then separate the green tree into lines such as mount related and others. Mounts are a possilbe area of expansion with gliding mounts and underwater ones. I don't htink the engine can handle flying.

I'll be honest, I have no interest in the system and I put the points wherever popular websites tell me to. If the system changed I'd do the same.

It's workable for me. I can't think of any major pain point I have now with the green passives being reworked. Maybe more passives in the other trees, I dunno. I'd just prefer them to leave things as is at this point, tbh.

this! its a low impact, low performance stat machine. Very weak design as it adds nothing to the game. Theres not even any choices to make as per above. You just need the ideal setup for your role which will be the same for 99% of players.

now imagine if this system was a specialization system where you could specialize in a damage type, armor type and healing, buffing, crowd control, pets etc.

this is how players build their characters and thus has impact and variability. The current system is just a complete nothingburger. No impact, no visuality, no compelling reason to do something different than everyone else. I give it a 1 out of 10 for design. Its there.. that earns a 1.

I'm way over 2k champ points and I'd like to see partial changes. This game has massive potential still. It just needs a clear direction and a road heading towards the "fun" end of the spectrum once again.

There are some reasons why I see little use for and don't care to gain more cp past the 1900 mark.

Imho, the end game has been foxholed into a power creep by adding certain things too close together. "some" of the newer sets and newer class abilities were made to be very powerful to get players to buy the latest DLCs from time to time and other classes/sets got balanced around that while also adding power into a champ point system when it was released and so on.

They attempted to correct this by nerfing some of that power in the champ points, sets, and abilities. By then it seems the oversight was already lost which lead to many unfortunately imbalanced patches. For a while, just as with later stories, balance patches felt more and more like they were all over the place, sometimes creating more issues.

It was as if many people were adding suggestions to the pool of buffs and nerfs individually insist of collectively, but less thought went into how all the changes would play out together when live. It sometimes seemed as if the necessary debating which helps to fine tune these combat issues was absent.

Nerfing the champ points made them significantly less attractive to level up once players pass a certain point.

At this point the insane xp and time required to reach 3600 is hardly justified to unlock nerfed and niche passives. many of these passives will contribute nothing to a player's build, since they can't be slottted/used. Unfortunately, it's become an unattractive grind for less and less gain.

    Have fun in game all

One thing I thought of for adding to the CP system: what if they added a fifth node for each of the three constellations once you hit max CP (3600)?

I, for one, am in favor of adding anything (ideally cosmetics though) as cool bonuses for reaching checkpoints as a congratulatory thing. It doesn’t have to be about power. There’s just no reason cosmetic or power wise to level past 1500. Not saying I’m craving motivation, but like, why not? Why not reward your players with a radiant apex of your choosing at 2000 and 2 at 3000 or something? What’s the harm? It’d be super cool
