Logged off for a few days - No crafting containers?

Why have I not gotten my crafting containers for the two days I was logged off? Is this intended or not?
If it is intended it is horribly flawed. Real life does exist and when I cannot log on I should still be getting them in the mail.
Anyone have any information about this or can enlighten me?

You get 1 crafting container per day for an active character (must log in daily). Since you didn't log in, you don't get them per day logged off. This is intended for all the reasons you can imagine.

I can't imagine a single one, please enlighten me, but then again I've never understood the way MMOs punish those with real-lives who can't play every day.

So you can't make 7 alts with hirelings that you log into every 30 days to collect 30 crafting chests perhaps? I'll let you try to imagine some more

Joke? Lets create a character, put a few points in heirling, logout for a year and come back to 365 containers for each profession you put points into. I iz smert.

(I realize there's a 30 day cap on mail, but you get the point)

You actually get 2 per day with 3/3 hireling assuming you log in every 12 hours.

It's been shown that making people log in every day keeps them playing your game. That's why so many games do it. Not just MMOs, either.

And the problem would be ... ?

What does the magical process of logging in have to do with anything?

The problem would be a mailbox full of loot for zero effort. If you don't have a problem with that I'm not sure I can help you any further.

I see. So a person like myself who plays the game as intended is punished due to those who cheat the system. Ok, no problem, I get it.

Some days I don't get to play. On 90% of the days I can't play I still manage to log in for 10 seconds to get my ingame mail. It's not that odious a task in all honesty.

Your comment is a disgrace to who you are. Not one thought or consideration of what exactly might cause a person not to be able to log onto their computer for a day or a week. Let us forget about the reason or the topic of this post.

People have accidents, are hospitalized, a parent may die, a child may become sick. A home may be broken into, a car may have been stolen, in other words, life happens. How dare you assume that because I could not log onto the game that my reason was not valid and for what ever reason (which I choose not to disclose) I did not log in, that is absolutely none of your business.

People like you give me a sour and foul taste in my mouth. Go and post something of genuine value instead of trying to gain another forum star.

Um sorry but I think you might be overreacting a bit. I got from your last post that you seemed a bit on edge so I moved on. Life does happen, and the game doesn't need to compensate you for that I'm sorry to say. It is just a game. If you miss out of a couple of crafting ingredients it isn't that big a deal.

I'm sorry if there's something that is going on with you that has you high strung. If so, I hope things get better for you soon.

Who gives a rats arse about a hireling box....

It's just not that serious. Ive levelled 8 characters to 50 in provisioning for the hireling containers and find it tedious for the login as well. But if I ever have an issue as catastrophic as the above mentioned, the last thing I will care about is whether or not I can get my digital tomatoes.

@gladen5rwb17_ESO‌, I congratulate you for this near-perfect impersonation of a raging forum troll. However, you forgot to mention how the person you quoted is the original ***. So, no forum point from me.

    On topic:
    Log in - goody bag
No log in - no goody bag

There, that was easy, wasn't it? Oh, you expected a different ruleset? Why don't you suggest one? But do keep in mind that you're not the only one playing this game (an MMO), so your rules should not just be advantageous to you alone. They shouldn't also be (easily) exploitable, because there's no other crowd hell-bent on finding and exploiting loopholes than a bunch of gamers. Yes, that's us, always trying to walk the path of least resistance.

I understand they can't send you 6 containers for being logged out for 6 days in row, but I was logged out for 6 days on my templar and when I logged in on the 7th day I was expecting at least 1 container, but I found nothing. /shrug

I'm just going to respec and put the points in something else I think. Between the RNG and the bugs that prevent containers from being delivered properly, I just don't see any value in them at this time.
