Fragments problem

Problem,
Under my collections tab 'Fragments' I could have sworn that the entry would disappear from the tab once the item has been collected and assembled..

For instance, I don't have any Indriks on the list because I have completed them all.

However, some time after the Summerset, whenever I collect an item it doesn't remove itself from the tab, it just reverts to 'not collected' and remains on the list.

Firstly, this problem exists with addons switched totally off so it isn't an addon that is causing it.
Secondly, I'm not referring to the collectibles that morph, I expect them to stay until the set has been truly completed.

Before I report this as a multi year long bug I've had, is this normal? Do others have a cleaner fragments panel?

Do you have this issue with the base Indrik that can be turned into the several differently colored ones? Because you can always collect the fragments for the base one although you already have all the variations and another base one unlocked.
It seems that this is due to the case they add another variation later.
It should be normal behavior.

Yep, my fragments tab is also littered with ghosts of long-assembled fragments past...

my fragments tab is an absolute mess of things that i have completed and can't get again. at the very least, there should be some sort of organization to it (group by quarter or something) and things you can't get again should be removed

Not a single entry regarding Inriks. This is because I completed all indriks and back when I did that the fragment was removed upon completion. It auto-cleaned.

Now, based on Czeri and scrappy above, the system is a mess for everyone.

I can see why they keep the fragments for players who did not get a chance to get them the first time around, but whenever I get close to the ticket limit and need to figure out what to buy from the Impresario, I have to go through a bunch of those things just to remember whether I need more pet fragments or not, and which pet fragments.

There are years worth of fragments that I got already and can not get again, and the list gets longer every year. It’s not just that stuff too, there are ToT card fragments listings for cards I already got.

There is absolutely no "normal behavior" anymore with regards to fragments. The entire system is indeed an utter mess these days. Why do I keep collecting fragments for Tales of Tribute decks when I have already assembled them? Why are all the morphing pets and all their morphs still listed years after I have collected every single possible morph?

Yesss this is so annoying. If your already got the account wide collectable that those specific fragments make, it should be grayed out. I do think it is in the merchant list, I have to check again, but it should be in collections too..

Talking of fragments, why are the ones dropped from the mini-boss at a Soul Reaper not stackable? There's nothing on the item card to indicate that each one is somehow unique, just that you need to combine some number of them (10 I think?) It just seems odd that when we already have stackable items, this one somehow isn't.

You can just use the single ones until you unlock the achievement. You don‘t have to wait for the 10 pieces to complete.

Entries for completed collectibles are supposed to be be hidden.

In the past, when there was a collectible that didn't behave, people would report it, and some time later you'll see a patch note saying XYZ will now be hidden if you've completed it.

But in recent years, more and more of these have fallen through the cracks.

Personally, I rarely use that UI and have largely relied on addons, so it's something that I haven't paid much (or any) attention to.

Is there an addon out there that specifically look for completed collectibles and removes the fragments?

Not that I've made an addon, but I'd be guessing it would only need to detect if the collections has been claimed, and based on that remove the Fragment entry. For the morphing ones they would need to detect all other related items from the same season before they are removed.
