i have a great oakensoul solo build that uses
    aedric spear/ daedric summoning/assasination

its pretty much a one button build except to debuff bosses or put up shields.

pretty much relies on sweeps for dps
which is backed up by Assination for crit/debuffing and summmoning for ( hardened ward) survivability.

I use a mothers sorrow and the deadly set with oakensoul and various helmets for the 1 pc

its not awesome dps at about 30k single target but its easy, fun and survivable.

also working on dedicated healer, decicated tank and a healtank build

Same. It's given a new, more fun outlook on my main character, and on my side characters too. Made a former sorc argonian into a dark/light/nature magic priest, gave my warden aedric spear instead of green balance, and I'm going to really update my necro Argonian once I fully level his other two skill limes first. Not sure what to give him tho for the replacements, so still theorycrafting that.

Honestly, not much if anything. I have always been against the idea of subclassing. It felt like a cheap way to bring "content" to the game vs doing something cool like a new class.

But that aside. I have been giving it a honest try.

The issue I have is multi-fold.

    1. I can't stand seeing a red assassination icon on the same bar as my purple sorc icon on the same bar as a yellow templar icon. It looks frankly dumb and out of place. No coherence at all. Feels very....amateur in design.
    2. I have changed most of my subclassed characters back to their core state. I don't have to measure my worth in game by pumping out the most DPS and I find most of the tradeoffs to gain that DPS not worth it.
    3. The ability animations and icons when used are also mismatched vs the core class. I think it looks absoutely ridiculous to see yellow jabs with a purple lighting AOE and a red debuff on the target. Again, the other class abilties feel out of place.

Overall, Subclassing does not come across as a cool feature for gameplay, it comes across as a half baked attempt to bring content to the Seasons of the Worm Cult. That is my opinon.

I am having a bit of fun on various healer builds. I added some templar skills to my dragonknight, so it was fun playing a fiery healer. I also took some of my nightblades and added some other class skills to them. One build I titled “blood flower”, which is siphoning, dark magic, and green balance. It’s a fun system. I am sure the novelty will wear off, but enjoying it for now.

Leveling up skills on my main has been refreshing, a sense of progress with them that hasn't happened in years. I've been enjoying going from a single target build into a multi target build for soloing. It's made gameplay a lot faster. Being able to turn invisible for thieves guild and dark brotherhood is very helpful now too.

The most fun I have with Subclassing is when I finish my trial prog for the night and get to go back to the Armory to take it off.

I do not like Subclassing, but it is mandatory for running in high-level groups with others. The balance is just absurd, and there is no way that playing the way you have can hope to measure up to it.

Hopefully U47 will give some power back to pureclasses so Subclassing is no longer mandatory.

    Love subclassing so far!

    Have done:
-Made my main a good dps char, his build was from very early ESO still.
-Made another bad dps char into a good dps char.
-Remade two tanks into two tank subclass chars.
-Made a zookeeper, with all pets. (will respec this soon, so I can level up other subclass skilllines as this is the char I am currently playing)

Totally loving all the options/freedom, and having fun with these builds.

Would love some subclassing QoL though:
1: The subclassing quest should be more simple, and should not force a buildchange. (want to look at subclass options and activate subclassing without being forced to a buildchange)
2: Subclassing skillline overview should state subclassing costs two skillpoints per skill in big red writing at the top.
3: The first skill in any subclass skillline should be unlocked automatically without skillpoint costs. This way we can level the line without having to waste two skillpoints. (will mainly help new players and players low on skillpoints)
4: There should be an easy option to go back to 'pure class' without respeccing.
5: We should be able to subclass into our own class, so we can level the skillline for other subclass characters. (this should cost two skillpoints per skill ofcourse)
6: All classes need a channeled skill to build around similar to the arcanist's beam, to prevent the entire playerbase from flocking to the most convenient skill(Note: this skill is not overpowered, it is only convenient in use).

    What have you done?

Put a green beam + another sub c skilline on every dd toon so I can be “allowed” into end game content.

Put a “required” skill lines on my healer so I can be “allowed” into end game content.

I have also done some crying over sadness I will never get to play how I want ever again unless it’s solo play or doesn’t affect others (in a mmo? lol - yea, never).

Getting back into and playing more on all my alts has been super fun. Swapping out skill lines I don't use for ones I think would be cool to have or work well with each specific build and then actually playing those characters to level them up has been great. I've started renewing old, out-of-date builds and making sub-par ones like my Frost warden actually good but still thematic and fun to play.

I've been a daily player for the past 10 years, but this is the most I've played and the most fun I've had playing in a long time. Even just all the theorycrafting regarding all my different builds has kept me engaged even more than Scribing did. Subclassing is a genuinely fun system and I love it. All I need now is more skill styles for different colour variations to class skills to make more combinations match different class colour schemes.

Leveling again is delightful! Khajiit has been 3600 for a while now, with all 20 characters maxed on all the pertinent skill lines. Leveling the lines via subclassing has been enjoyable.

Got a few vet trials and vet hm HoF, which isn't that big a deal for the sweaty tryhards, but was for khajiit.

I'm actually starting to despise the arcanist beam. It's so hard to find interesting builds that don't have the beam, it's literally everywhere. I have one arcanist I don't need like six of them.

I have been having fun making none meta builds though. But I'm not sure how welcome they'd be in high end content so I've been making them solo builds.

I threw away the Dark magic line on my sorcs. One now uses Assassination an the other Aedric spear. I like both of them. I also swapped one of my Frost warden lines for the Grave Lord to get Boneyard and the Colossus. I'm not sure if it's better, but I'll keep it for now.

In TES:V, I've always defaulted to a SpellSword character.

With Subclassing i can give my Nightblade Storm Calling and now I have a SpellBlade. Its neat, but I'm still leveling the skill tree and the dmg isn't all that great, cause I've now essentially gone Hybrid.

I had a lot of fun with Storm Calling on my necromancer heavy attack build. It really fit how I see the character while also making him tankier, faster, with better damage passives. It's not the highest damage of all the subclassing options for me, but that's the same as people just playing their favorite class whether or not it's the #1 top build.

I'm looking forward to adding Grave Lord onto one of my healers to add some Major Vulnerability for the group. I feel like healers have so many different directions they can go in, from damage, to healing, to utility, to buffs and debuffs.

But I'm most excited for having Bolt Escape to my Warden so I can pull people with Frozen Retreat, tether to people with Nature's Grasp, and get to hard-to-reach spots with Bolt Escape. Ultimate parkour build.

For me it isn't eso. It's another game. 2 out of 3 at my house have barely touched it and I have played much less. I think eso has lost part of it's identity and not for the better.

I think they could of invested more time into making scribing a more robust system. Where it could of been like subclassing but not just a straight up lazy swap and mix. What's the point of double skill point cost hahaha. They could of added things to antiques, dungeons, pvp, bg, trials and limited class defining mutations. But no, here we are.
This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.
