This is purely a solo build - I don't really group but - I decided I wanted a more destructive type of Druid for my Warden character and went with the following, have been enjoying it:

Beast Mastery (because I need the bear! - the Netch and Swarm are also fun though I don't use them as much.)

Ardent Flame - for Noxious Breath and Venomous Claw, and will probably use Inferno once I've got the skill high enough. Though I do wish Noxious Breath looked more... well toxic instead of "we just turned the fire kinda yellow-green")

Soldier of Apocrypha - Cruxweaver Armor has a super cool 'runic vines' look to it that feels very druid-appropriate to me. I also quite like Spiteward of the Lucid Mind's bright green runes, which also feels appropriate.

Finally to round things out I use Fiery Burst (from Soul Magic scribing), Bloody Smash, Carve and Executioner from Two-Handed.

Basically DOT the crap out of things while being fairly safe between all the added resilience and damage shields.

Then I have Sharp-as-Night backing me up with heals and dual wield.

I would consider swapping Soldier of Apocrypha for Daedra summoning if we had skins to turn the pets into animals though. Just because I like the idea of having a bunch of animal pals that actually hang around and fight with me. Still pretty satisfied with this setup though.

Also another character I'm working on is an elemental battle-dancer:

    Dual Wield
    Ardent Flame
    Winter's Embrace
    Storm Calling

I haven't got her far enough to really nail down skills, but it's fun doing magicka dual wielding, whipping things with fire, encasing myself in ice and blasting things with lightning.

Frigging loving this for my "I just wanna build weird characters and have a good time" playstyle.

I used to give elementalist vibes with my Warden using a lightning staff with fire enchant.
Now that a proper elementalist is possible, I would advise building around status effects, so choosing sets that boost those and slot the Occult Overload CP. It'll be fun for grinding exp.

Elemental Catalyst and Elemental Succession might be useful. they are the only sets that do something with all of those 3 damage types.

    Elemental Catalyst.
(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 657 Critical Chance
(4 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(5 items) Whenever you deal Flame, Shock, or Frost Damage, you apply a stack of Flame, Shock, or Frost Weakness to the enemy for 3 seconds. Each stack of an Elemental Weakness increases their Critical Damage taken by 5%. An enemy can only have one stack of each Elemental Weakness at a time.

    Elemental Succession.
(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(4 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(5 items) Whenever you deal Flame, Shock, or Frost Damage, you gain 492 Weapon and Spell Damage for Flame, Shock, or Frost Damage for 4 seconds. Each effect is picked randomly and an effect that is already active cannot refresh.

edited to add: there's also the Wrath of Elements staff set from Vateshran Hollows, though you'll have to use Weakness to Elements.

For a 2-piece set, Vateshran Hollows destruction staves cause "Wrath of the Elements" that does all 3 kinds of elemental damage in an escalating tether.

Perhaps you could use a Frost Damage set such as:
    • Whorl of the Depths
    • Icy Conjurer
    • Winterborn
Paired with a set that deals Flame or Shock damage such as:
    • Runecarver's Blaze
    • Shadow of the Red Mountain
    • Overwhelming Surge
And a Monster Set such as:
    • Illambris
    • Valkyn Skoria
  • Sunegami

I’m noodling around with an Arcanablade build:

    • Inevitable Detonation (Assault)
    • Abyssal Impact (Herald of the Tome)
    • Writhing Runeblades (Herald of the Tome)
    • Lotus Fan (Assassination)
    • Dark Cloak (Shadow)
    • Ultimate: Incapacitating Strike (Assassination)

99% of what I play is solo PvE so it’s not spectacular dps but it is fun

My Maormer Elementalist monk uses Whorl of the Depths, Noxious Boulder (it's kinda funny to throw a giant rock at someone), and Kargaeda. That lets me cover water, earth, and air all with sets.

I was originally thinking about setting him up with Subclassing, but I actually prefer to keep my characters pure classed - and that means I also get to work through the challenge of getting everything done with other skills or Scribing or even Skill Styles. And I think I did it for him - he uses his standard Class lines, but I can get him to throw out fire, water, earth, wind, lightning, and ice all at the same time. And I didn't even have to give up my storm atro or crystal frags.

He's got the Wildburn Force Shock on his lightning bar that makes it look like a vine whip, blue Vigor to look like a water pulse (but I'd love an actual water pulse one to match with the Healing Springs and Warhorn we got), and then a fire staff backbar with wall. His major ice skill is actually Chilling Torch, which I really like since I actually imagine him as using a quarterstaff instead of a magic staff, and that makes it look even more like he's smacking someone with it. Plus, I love the obsidian look for skills like Frags or Encase, since that gives him another point.

I hope we get Scribing Grimoires for Class skill lines that we can use in our Subclassing builds. There's a few skill lines which lack certain utility when isolated from the other skill lines in their Class, and I think Scribing could remedy that — especially since Scribing will be available in the base game soon.

Additionally, I can't wait to see what new Subclassing builds the community makes if we get an 8th Class with associated damage dealing, tanking, and healing skill lines! The Arcanist is a mechanically fun Class regardless of which skill line you pick, so I hope the next Class will be fun to play, also — even if we only get to use one of their skill lines at a time with Subclassing.

    Solo PVE Frost/Flame Warden One-Bar DoT/Status Build

Oakensoul, Deadly Strike, Frostbite, 1pc Kra'gh, frost staff w/ charged flame, 5 Light/1 Heavy/1 Med

    Chilling Contingency (Scribing>Ulfsild's>Frost>Lingering Torment>Breach)
    Chilling Explosion (Scribing>Elemental>Frost>Lingering Torment>Off Balance)
    Unnerving Boneyard (Subclassing>Necromancer>Grave Lord)
    Chilling Soul (Scribing>Wield Soul>Frost>Lingering Torment>Vitality)
    Fiery Breath (Subclassing>Dragonknight>Ardent Flame)
    Healing Burst (Scribing>Soul Burst>Healing>Sage's Remedy>Resolve)
    Northern Storm ult (Warden>Winter's Embrace)

Passives: Winter's Embrace (all), Grave Lord (Death Knell, Dismember, Rapid Rot), Subclassing>Arcanist>Herald of the Tome (Harnessed Quintessence, Psychic Lesion), Soul Magic (all), Mages Guild (Adept, Everlasting, Controller), Destruction staff (all except Tri), all Armor passives, Subclassing>Dragonknight>Ardent Flame (all)

CP: Thaumaturge, Occult Overload, Bulwark, Biting Aura

    Drink: Witchmother's Potent Brew
    Potion: Crown Tri

Buffs: minor beserk, minor courage, major sorcery, major prophecy, minor force, minor protection, major/minor resolve, minor mending, major/minor fortitude, major/minor intellect, major/minor endurance, minor heroism, minor slayer, minor aegis, empower

Debuffs: chilled, minor brittle, major/minor breach, minor vulnerability, major/minor main, overcharged, minor magickasteal, burning, off-balance

Companion: Zerith (for heals/purge, fear, minor magickasteal), Bastian for tanking hard bosses.

The goal with this build is to solo most soloable content. I tried to acquire as many buffs and debuffs as possible without a full group. Dots are to wear down bosses and aoe/dots for general mobs/adds, and 'chilling soul' Fiery Breath for spammable burst with a dot attached as I cycle through the mobs. This build is super fun in dungeons so far, have yet to take it in IA.

EDIT: looking for a different skill line than Arcanist for passives
2nd EDIT: I chose Dragonknight>Ardent Flame to replace the Arcanist subclass, including replacing one skill.

I roleplay my main as a knight from House Indoril.
The primary class is Dragonknight and I replaced Ardent Flame with Aedric Spear.
Aedric Spear is supposed to invoke the close ties between House Indoril and the Temple and also can be seen as a blessing from Vivec, resembling his infamous Muatra spear. I use this skill line mostly for the Puncturing Strikes, maybe I'll add Focused Charge (replacing Shield Charge from One Hand and Shield skill line, that I use now). The passives are also pretty nice.
I kept Draconic Power and Earthen Heart skill lines for their fiery/magma themes, that are in turn supposed to invoke Dark Elves' connection to the volcanic nature of their homeland, Morrowind. I use these skill line mostly for utilities, of course.

I do mostly solo PvE content and I don't intend to 'maximise' the effectiveness of my builds. My priority is mostly the lore behind the build, the esthetics and general fun in playing the character.

I also started a new character, a Breton Nightblande, and I plan to make a class resembling Blood Death Knight, which is my favourite class from World of Warcraft:
    - Bone Tyrant (subclassed from Necromancer, replacing Assassination) - mostly for the Death Scythe and Bone Armor, maybe I'll also use Bitter Harvest; I also put a style on Death Scythe, making it bloody read instead of the standard blue-ish/green-ish deathly hue (for the bloody red esthetics, generally matching the nightblade skills),
    - Shadow - for the Consuming Darkness ultimate and passives,
    - Siphoning - for Strife and Siphoning Strikes, and putting "blood" in Blood Death Knight.
So far it seems pretty cool to play.

Stamplar Brawler (Aedric Spear, Storm Calling, Assassination)

This is an all PvE content build (Solo up to most VDLC Dungeons, DPS any content, "Fake tank" many VDLC) with high movement speed, very tanky, and an easy static rotation.

    5x Ansuul's Torment
    5x Tzogvin's Warband

    2x Selene
    or
1x Ring of the Pale Order 1x Penetration 1-PC
    6 Medium 1 Light

    Food: Artaeum Takeaway Broth
Race: Build is optimized for a stam sustain race
Potion: Health, Physical Resist, Spell Resist
    Mundus: Thief or Lover
All Stam/Damage Enchants, may need to add a recovery enchant if your race doesn't have stam sustain, or you can drop resist pots if you're not soloing anything hard
CP: AOE, Direct Damage, Crit Damage, Weapon/Spell Damage

    Skill Loadout:
Resolving Vigor, Jabs, Camo Hunter, Merciless Resolve, Lightning Splash/Flex Soul Harvest
Concealed Weapon, Luminous Shards, Camo Hunter/Flex, Boundless Storm, Quick Cloak, Overload

Basic Rotation: Toggle Overload, Boundless, Quick Cloak, Lightning Splash, JabJabJab... Cast Merciless at 10 stacks. Repeat when backbar timer runs down.

Be sure to be in combat when casting Quick Cloak (can open with luminous shards if solo). Soul Harvest when ult is <100, use that from then on, don't use overload if your ult is low.

Recast Lightning Splash on timer, always take the synergy. In solo or unsupported situations cast Luminous Shards with Lightning Splash, take shards synergy for sustain.

Wield Soul with Chain, Resource Restore, Breach or Cowardice if you need a chain/taunt/major breach source. Replace Lightning Splash with Mark Target and backbar Camo Hunter with Caltrops if soloing dungeons. Replace Lightning Splash with Flare if you need more mitigation. Keep Minor Resolve up with Vigor if soloing something hard.

    Shrewd offering or sated fury
    Pestilent Colossus

The theme here is being a vampire lord, wielding blood magic, necromancy and channeling the power of harrowstorms.

    Build 2

    Name - Master of Conjuration
Base Class - Necromancer, Templar, or Sorcerer (Nightblade and dragonknight variants below)
    Weapons - Lightning Staff
    Mundus - The apprentice
Skill Lines - Aedric Spear, Gravelord, Daedric Summoning
    Mythic - Oakensoul
    Armor Weight - Light
Sets - 5p Threads of war, 5p necropotence, 1p Kjalnar's Nightmare (Any damage oriented 1p monster set works really) Or 5p Threads of War, 4p oblivion's foe, 2p Maw of the Infernal

    -Skills-
Puncturing Sweeps (Ice blue skill style highly recommended for that bound weapon look)
    Blighted Blastbones
Twilight Matriarch or Volatile Familiar (depending on how much you value a self heal)
    Inner Light
Bound Aegis (or armaments, you do you.)
    Either Colossus or storm atronach.

This setup gives the feeling of being a master of conjuration magic, utilizing it in all of it's aspects, from bound weapons, to summoning and necromancy. .

Variants - Aedric spear's thematic role in the build be replaced by Ardent flame or assassination, swapping out sweeps for molten whip or concealed weapon respectively if needed. (blue/purple styles for each recommended.)

48k Replenishing Barrier is one result of this
    hyi2jak68bki.png

I've run a DK shielder/healer for a long time but the combo of these sets, ulti-gen from Scribed abilities, and adding Dark Conversion for resource management and the nice new Sorc shield-mines which visually lovely, and arcanist's smart-aiming Chakram shields have made it a lot more viable and I'm adjusting it as I test it out

Skill load-out without access to Scribed skills:

    *bar 1*
    Daedric Refuge
    Vibrant Shroud
    Cinder Storm
    Fragmented Shield
    Dark Conversion
    Ulti Glyphic of the Tides

    *bar 2*
    Audacious Runemend
    Reconstructive Domain
    Chakram of Destiny
    Cascading Fortune
    Igneous Weapons
Ulti Magma Shell or Replenishing Barrier

    Scribed skills
Warding Bond - damage shield / 8% block cost reduction and damage mitigation / minor protection
Heroic Torch - grant 1 ultimate per torch sweep / purge 1 negative effect per sweet / minor evasion
Warding Burst - damage shield / consume soul gem to gain 3 ultimate / minor courage or resolve for allies

    Soul Shriven
Corrupted druid : The theoretical RP-style idea would be about a corrupted druid who can no longer use nature to heal and instead revives the dead unnaturally, spreads disease, casts poison, and summons tentacled horrors. Hope you guys enjoy the idea. : )

Herald of the tome - Cephaliarch's Flail
    - Pragmatic Fatecarver

    Grave Lord - Pestilent Colossus
    - Sacrificial Bones - ( choose disease damage or the self bonus)
    - Unnerving Boneyard
    - Skeletal Archer
    - Detonating Siphon

    Ardent flame - Venomous Claw
    - Noxious Breath

I'm having a lot of fun with this "High Arcane Master" build I put together! I hit 95k DPS which surpassed my personal best on my pure Arcanist build:

Arcanist + Grave Lord + Daedric Summoning

I wanted to create a mix of all of the "dark" magic arts in one build as much as could make sense to be viable in content as well. Recommendations for changes welcome!

5pc Ansuul, 5 pc Deadly, 1 pc Slimecraw, Velothi Ur Mage Amulet, Maelstrom Inferno on the back bar

I don't use a 2H on the back bar because it's too difficult for me to sustain stamina.

You might want to switch Detonating Siphon to your front bar in place of either Bound Armaments (if you just slot BA for the max Stamina) or Barbed Trap, because I believe you currently don't benefit from the Death Knell passive on your front bar.
