Love it. I've now got 3 different Streak DKs, a Cryomancer, and one true unrecognizable abomination.

Too bad the busted Assassin NB tree will overshadow all the cool stuff you can make.

I hope one day they do, but I'm not holding my breath. They don't really have a good track record when it comes to these things, they never even finished the half-completed hybridization even though they started doing it 4 years ago and saying more changes would come in the future. They also said they'd keep an eye on Grave Lord's Sacrifice and it's been over a year with really nothing been done to this horrible skill.

I fully suspect this underbaked and arbitrarily balanced version of Subclassing will go live and will see pretty much no changes other than skill nerfs later down the line.

I've been working on filling up the normal trial stickerbooks. It's (mostly) been a fun time.

My gut feeling is that today's update didn't contain all the combat changes referred to in last week's patch notes. It just seemed like too small a list.

I'd like to get off the nerf bus and not wait nervously each week to learn how each of my different classes are being "balanced" Seeing my main warden healer's favourite build nerfed with the pearls/pillagers change is just demoralising.

Funny how people can't even post a CONSTRUCTIVE poll anymore... because I am personally quite happy with the changes. First, I'm glad they didn't nerf anything major... and second, they did listen to forum feedback- making beams 'direct damage' and increasing frost damage. They also listened and shortened templar beam channel time.

However, people seem to forget that they have access to ALL the data on the test server. They can see where something is over-performing and not. They also see that many posts here are hyperbolic and 'some people' are just generally unhappy with the addition of subclassing- and their 'feedback' is extremely skewed.

I also think ZOS has stopped listening to the min/maxers and meta chasers and have just decided to make adjustments as THEY see them.

I'm glad we're able to directly change our skill lines from the Subclassing preview screen. That's a nice quality of life change!

To be clear, we still need to visit a skill respec shrine or use a respec scroll to change skill lines. However, we can now just equip the skill line we're currently previewing, rather than needing to go up a level in the menu to do so.

I'm pretty meh. Some of the QOL changes are nice, like sorcs Lightning synergy being usable by the caster. But powercreep and 160k+ dps builds abound. Some nb/sorc/arc monstrosities going around, and free crit damage out the wazoo. Pure classes still gimped, so new players have another grind to catch up with.

Sure, I'm having fun with the poll but I hope you'll allow me a moment of play after weeks of constructive concerns expressed on the fundamentals of subclassing, impact on meta, impact on player gap and pure class identity.

They are just reverting or making adjustments in line of their pre-conceived launch plans that are not too impactful. I personally don't want to settle for "damage control". Do I have to look at PTS as a fine-tune-only platform to avoid disappointment?

For those who want to rp theme builds I guess you do what you want and are pleased. The game is changing in in its core though and much of concerns on the forum remain unaddressed.

funny how its believed that zos listened to anyone at all. if they did, we would've seen changes.

If they did, they would know hybridization was a screw up.

If they did, they might realize there still is work needed to be done in order for subclassing to become more complete before shipping it out to live.

If they did, they wouldve changed up that corporate leadership bag of dirt combat lead.

The reality is, they run a predetermined course. We are just background chatter.

It would be a difference maker if they DID listen to their player base. they would be breaking a decade of tradition.

there were people on this forum before that have put out constructive diagnosis. many have alrdy been exhausted, knowing zos DOESNT listen, they run that predetermined course, see feedback, tweak the 2% that nobody gave a flying fig about.

pls just stick to pve. no changes ever made in eso really destroyed pve anyway, youre fighting against predetermined NPCs for crying out loud.

quite frankly, your playstyle of the game does not require devs to know combat.

It’s telling that @ADarklore proudly signs every post with “strictly a solo PvE quester,” then proceeds to opine on the structural overhaul of class identity, balance, and endgame meta as if he’s tuning raid composition instead of questing through Glenumbra.

The excitement here isn’t about design but distraction. Subclassing is a dopamine buffet. A workaround for creative fatigue. Something to “find new,” not because it adds meaningful depth, but because the core is so stripped down that players like him need a reshuffle just to keep logging in.

Meanwhile, anyone who actually interacts with the game’s underlying systems—be it PvP, vet content, or even just a coherent character build—knows this isn’t evolution. It’s surrender. And wrapping that surrender in a “just let us have options!” blanket doesn’t make it less hollow.

While not the biggest fan of the choices here, because they seem rather negative.

I am happy with subclassing. I been thinking about it and honestly it's perfect. I don't care about balance, I just don't want things to feel bad to use.

I just hope they separate pvp from pve this or next year.
