Revert sorcerer nerfs

They're just making sorc require skill again, it will still be good, as it was before the over the top Ward buff.

They are reverting Sorc to the days of when the greatest Sorc content creater "Malcolm" I've ever know basically quit the game, and on top of that there's the Curse nerf too, so its even weaker than it was then. Its a bad idea if they want to keep people playing the game.

It’ll definitely become significantly weaker in the light of subclassing but it won’t be as bad as back than. Curse isn’t being nerfed other than for pets which is irrelevant because sorc pets aren’t usable in pvp

Sorc class for pve nets you:

Beacon of Oblivion - 15% damage
10% damage at start of fight
Overload heavy hits hard with new mythic

Not sure if any of that matters at all.

    NB nets you:

600 spell damage, and about 10% more crit rate and damage. On top of Merciless procs and a usable execute.

Not sure what the 3rd class will be meta for sorc subclasses, but my guess is bulk of damage and damage passives are coming from subclassing other classes and weapon skills.

Beacon of oblivion feels pretty underwhelming still because of the two pvp lines. If those were both crit instead it would be a very functional set.

Whats funny about the Beacon of Oblivion set is that it has two lines for pvp, but they nerfed the 5th pc so hard in actual pvp content its to weak to bother using.

I get so much free crit from assassination, my value judgements on sets can change. 70% crit is more than enough.

Yeah the 5pc bonus makes it unusable in PVP, so may as well just lean into it being a PVE set

So then the class set can be useless so long as you run assassination with it

ZOS: since you sorc players are getting used to nerf for so long, you should accept the new nerf quick and easy >:)

Curse has already been nerfed in previous patches. Curse used to have 3 damage ticks, the first 2 ticks were simultaneous one was single target, and one was aoe, followed 6 seconds later by another aoe one. Sorc now, just has 2 ticks, that are both aoe. Those 2 ticks that used to go off simultaneously were way stronger than the single aoe one it gets now. 2 ticks also mean the possibility for 2 crits. So think about it, Sorc Shields and Healing are nerfed back to the days of when it was basically unplayable. Then on top of that its damage output is weaker. Sorc is headed for some bad days.

Maybe since sorcerer got nerfed we can remove the need to slot the same pet on both bars?

ZoS just need to leave Sorc alone its not as OP as nightblade, not even close.

My original main was a sorc with pets until I grew tired of having to double slot the twilight and scamp and the irritatingly big constantly flapping twilight.

I mainly solo stuff now and have one other sorc amongst 14 characters.

I just rebuilt my characters on the pts and am only using daedric summoning on one of my sorcs using just the Summon Charged Attronach.

I considered making a Animal Companions, Gravelord, Daedric Summoning zoo build but double slotting permanent daedric pets that required another skill and slot to increase their damage that doesn't increase any other pets or summon sets damage didn't leave enough room for other 'pet' summon skills or buffs for damage and survivability so I didn't.

In that regard subclassing has disappointed me.

I have used Storm Calling mostly for hurricane on a few other builds though.

They're just making sorc require skill again, it will still be good, as it was before the over the top Ward buff.

Only Stamsorc was good before ward buff usually with procs. Maximum magicka shield sorc was one of the worse classes and a niche way to play when it had been the main way to play sorcerer in the old times and hardened ward before buff was inferior to arcanist shield. Now that both the remaining heal which was already nerfed from 15% to 10% and the 10% maximum magicka and stamina get taken away again ward will be as bad as before and mag sorc worse because of subclassing destroying pure classes. Probably this will be the death of hardened ward magsorc in any competition.

ZoS telling Sorcerers to remove Pet summoning skilline when not using pets contradicts artificial distinction between magstacking and petsorcs they created by expert summoner giving max hp with a pet summoned and mag/stam without making sorc with magscaling hardened ward use pet summoner without pets.

As a few skills including hardened ward are overloaded doing too many things at once and the heal on hardened ward is considered OP my idea would be to remove hardened ward heal and dark deal cast time and buffs giving the buffs to another skill to make dark deal not overloaded single target burst heal and let expert summoner give 10% max stats to everyone or if that is too op 10% of highest stat(mag+stam together (or seperate)). If Siphoning doesnt need a cast time than dark deal should not either.

I've been begging ZoS to take the cast time off Dark Deal/Conversion for years. They are reverting Sorc back to the days of when it was unplayalbe and worse because of some of the damage nerfs they've done to it.

for PVE many sorcerer skills are a joke.

Pets are doing like no damage and need 2 bars.
Crystal fragment does less damage than beam even if you proc it every second.
And the stamina morph of crystal fragment cant really be spammed because it needs two light attacks between.

-> its dead and needs a very big and creative buff to make it competitive again.

I just jumped on the eso build editor after it updated for patch 46. Traditional Mag Sorc is dead for PvP after that update. Play how you want, but not that way. lol
