Cadwells Silver/Gold even a thing still?

So at the end of the faction main story/Main Quest you are given a quest from Cadwell to then go to another factions area and do their main quest, then a 3rd faction. With how much ESO has changed is that even a thing anymore? Like if I start a toon on Ebonheart could I also go thru the MQ of the Daggerfall faction etc without even going to Coldharbour for the MQ?

I'm looking for something to do so figured I would make an Ebonheart toon and was curious if I could actually complete all 3 Faction Main Stories before I finish the MQ/Coldharbour

    Yes, they are a thing.

If you want, you can do each of the three alliance questlines before doing the Main Quest's conclusion in Coldharbour.

In that case, what would happen after completing the Main Quest is that you'd be offered Cadwell's Silver, which would either be instantly completed because you'd already done that alliance questline, or it would be mostly completed and you'd need to go wrap up a quest or two that you'd inadvertently missed so that Cadwell's Silver would be marked as completed.

And then the same thing would happen with Cadwell's Gold-- either it would be instantly completed as soon as you accepted it, or you'd have to go wrap up a quest or two that you'd missed.

You can do exactly that, only change will be all the various alliances NPC's reacting to you as though you are from their alliance, with the exception of the talks with the kings/queens during the summit before you go to Coldharbour.

(though I think the recognition thing is kinda permanent now, with the account wide achievements, same with the hollow city being populated despite you having done nothing there yet on a fresh character)

Assuming you have done all 3 alliance quest lines you can turn in Cadwell's silver and gold to Cadwell right then and there without being teleport-ed to a starter area.

Right it was like a checklist right? Been forever since I did the Silver/ Gold stuff. Thanks!

If you play it in order it works the same as it always did. The only difference is you also have the option to complete the other Alliances before getting the quests.

I remember that as a reward it was immensely confusing (I started at the time of Summerset) because it seemed to be offering you the chance to do things you'd already done. It plain didn't make sense.

Hopefully, with their changes to the intro for new players, they've also tidied up the presentation for Cadwell's Silver and Gold, because I recall thinking I'd broken the game, or played it wrong, or something.

Yes, thank goodness for the checklist, otherwise I'd have never known what I'd missed. I completed nearly all of Silver and Gold without even knowing they were a thing, while running around Tamriel like a kid in a candy store, trying to do everything at once. When I finally started the Main Quest, most of my alliance storyline quests had been done as I'd run from zone to zone, out of their proper order. And when I completed the Main Quest and accepted Cadwell's offers, Silver and Gold were nearly all done, too.

IIRC you do have to exit and reenter the Harborage in order to turn in the quest (I have done it this way).

I started playing the Elder Scrolls Online with the Elsweyr chapter (2019). I thought doing Cadwell's Silver and Gold questlines was excellent and gave you knowledge of the game along with all of the skill points, etc.

Also, if you ever want to complete "Adventurer Across a Decade" you should be doing Cadwell's Silver and Gold.

I did both silver and gold on my main back in the day. But AwA stopped me from doing it again on alts.

I finished Cadwell's Silver and currently working on Gold on a new account. I'm really enjoying it. AWA killed off my need to do a lot of things on my main account to be honest. It has been a really interesting experience to start completely fresh.

I've still been enjoying questing through the zones on my alts after AWA, although I haven't been actively doing that for several months due to using my alts as mules and not having enough inventory space on them for doing daily crafting writs, let alone questing through the zones. But it's nice to reexperience quests that I'd done years ago and had forgotten about.

I loved starting with a clean slate on PC EU after having established several characters on PC NA! There's something about seeing a totally empty map (no player housing yet), and having a brand new bank account (no money and items deposited by other characters yet), that feels like you've got new horizons to explore.
