i just realized i dont think ive ever seen a giant spider in this game. apparently theres like a public dungeon somewhere with them, but i was wondering why I didnt have a giant spider mount when I have a 6 legged creature one . i think giant spiders are pretty significant from skyrim it was one of the first monsters you encounter.

There are rideable sized spiders in Spindleclutch group dungeon.

Maybe ZOS could catch one or two and put them in the crown store.

There are a handful here and there.

One fixed spawn in Labyrinthian for instance.

There is also a random encounter in Telvanni Peninsula.

There are more but those are the only two I can remember for sure.

There are many. Boss in Spindleclutch, boss in Selene's Web, boss in Scrivener's Hall, boss in The Dread Cellar (and big spiders as adds) boss in Cradle of Shadows, world boss in Stormhaven, and a lot more.

There is one in the public dungeon in Old Orsinium which is in Wrothgar. I used to kill that one every now and then for a potential motif drop.

The giant enemy spider is an iconic foe, after all.

I can think of at least two World Bosses that are giant spiders, and the 'Selene's Web' group dungeon in Reaper's March features a giant spider.

Any spider larger than my hand or shoe qualifies as a giant spider.

I've got a feeling they mean in normal overland PvE, not WB's or in Dungeons etc. That is one thing I miss from previous games like Skyrim. Would be a fun enemy addition for ZOS to include sometime in the future.

He said "no giant spiders in this game", not specifically in overland PvE.

Now, if OP meant overland PvE, regarding overland PvE then, since spiders biggest size in real life are of a human hand, every single spider in TESO is a giant spider (well, there are the tiny regular ones too).

Now, if you mean ultra mega hyper several meters tall giant spiders, again, you can find them in Spindleclutch, Selene's Web, Scrivener's Hall, The Dread Cellar, Cradle of Shadows, Stormhaven, Rivenspire, etc., being all those locations part of "this game" as the OP said.

The game is packed with giant spiders, overland, dungeons, trials, arenas, etc.

Oh, there's also one that spawns sporadically (kind of a random encounter) in Telvanni Peninsula, a bit southwest-ish of the Kelesan'ruhn player house there.

Selenes Web features a massive one that turns into a person (she is technically a shapeshifter)

plenty of areas with dog sized ones and mammoth sized but they do seem fewer inbetween. given how prevalent arachnophobia is, probably a good thing for the games health.

i would love a giant spider Mount tho, Giant Jumping spider. Maybe something inspired by an ogrefaced? meh most in games are based on wolf or tarantulas.
I play every class in every situation. I love them all.

        @scrappy1342

        Little known continent called Australia.

Biggest spiders in South Australia where I live are the huntsman spiders fully grown their leg span can go up to 16 cm.

How I know that, about ten or so years ago during the middle of the night I was reaching for light switch, when I turned it on there was a huntsman spider right next to the switch, if I had screwed up my hand could have landed on it instead of the switch in the pitch black of night, even since I make sure to have torch.

Though they are not the ones to really worry about, they are just big, plenty of smaller spiders with much worse venom to worry about.

There is one in High Isle that I see when doing farming runs. It is near the north coast, can’t remember exactly where.

It’s the only giant spider in the game that really creeps me out. It’s spinning webs around some poor, downed helpless npc character.

There's also one an Amenos Isle, nead or under some fallen tree I think. Quite disgusting.

Also big spiders are quite common in Wrothgar. There are not exactly gigantic, but still quite big.

There's Delves that are Full of spiders. There's one in Auridon where I always go with a new character just to stock up on spider eggs. Spiers in the wild in Bangkorai too. WB spider in Stormhaven.

I don't think you have been looking that hard.

TBH as someone with Arachnophobia, I kind of prefer that ESO does not have spiders EVERYWHERE and that the graphics are not too realistic, so I don't fall of my chair when I see them. However getting a cold-grip already every time when these little ones crawl down from the ceiling on their web-thread....

If you look for spider mounts you could go for these Nix-ones from Vvardenfell they give you at least a bit of a spider feeling I guess with the many legs.

But yeah I'm just happy with the spider-amount as it currently is. No more needed in ESO for me. Otherwise I'd probably need a setting in ESO like the one in "grounded" where you can make spiders look completely harmless.

I saw spiders overland in Eastmarch last night. Clarity and specificity is important when creating a topic.
