When is this all happening again?

I don't care - it's still a huge step in the right direction! A 500-slot furniture storage chest PLUS stackable writs? YES PLEASE!!!

I mean, me too sometimes. But you can't place anything, you can't live with it overnight and come back the next day and see if you still like it, and for some items you can't even get a decent view of them.

I use the large free houses I got that have 700, let me say that again, 700 slots for furniture. A large house is better for storage this this thing.
A 500 slot bank vault/storage chest would be more useful then this thing.
ZOS fumble again with feedback.
Players ask for a large bank vault, what we got was 500 and restricted to furniture only.
Players ask for a furniture bag, what we got was 500 slot limited storage chest for furniture only.
ZOS took two feature players asked for and combined the worst of them into this. THIS is why folks are bitching. This is neither a large bank vault nor a furniture bag.
Adding to a thought I had a while ago - what if 500 was the baseline, and it increased based on the number and type of houses the player owns? For example, for each of the following:
Inn Rooms: +10 Slots Each
Apartments: +15 Slots Each
Small Houses: +25 Slots Each
Medium Houses: +50 Slots Each
Large Houses: +75 Slots Each
Manors: +100 Slots Each
Total for all Inn Rooms: +110 Slots
Total for all Apartments: +45 Slots
Total for all Small Houses: +250 Slots
Total for all Medium Houses: +750 Slots
Total for all Large Houses: +1575 Slots
Total for all Manors: +4800 Slots
Total slots if all houses are obtained: 8,030 slots maximum
Keep in mind that the vast majority of players will not have anywhere near all of the houses, with many (perhaps most?) only having the homes that are obtainable for free in-game.
Some other things to consider in regards to raising the limit:
- It does not include those who don't have ESO+
- Those who do not care about housing will not use it, or use it very minimally
- Many houses are only briefly available, limiting the ability to max out the number of slots
- Only the biggest "whales" will have the max due to expensive Crown Store exclusive homes
- Adds a small additional incentive to spend on the Crown Store for those who can afford it
Just wanted to echo what Rich said in the stream. The choice for 500 stackable slots is to make sure we maintain performance and not put additional stress on the server. This was a solid number to make sure we could provide the furnishing vault without causing a hit to performance.
Everyone I know just has a random large house and they just dump furniture on the ground. This HAS to be worse than adding some more slots in the vault.
instead of 1 row representing 5 paintings, we have 5 paintings that have unique locations inside a house. you can't tell me this is more performant

My plan is to use the furnishings vault to store furnishings I have the most copies of.
If all 500 slots of the furnishings vault get used up, I'll most likely put other furnishings that I have several copies of in my six storage containers, giving me an additional 360 slots for stacks of furnishings.
If those 860 slots still aren't enough, I'll put any other furnishings I've got multiple copies of in my bank.
Anything else can get dumped into one or more of my "ware" houses-- unless it's something I want to place in a house, and then I'll just keep it in my main character's inventory, since furnishings which are stored in a house can't be directly placed inside another house the way furnishings in the furnishings vault, storage containers, bank, and inventory can.
