Drops seem the same as they have always been.

With the exception of Pre-"nerf" of the gold materials they were dropping far more often than they ever had prior, now it's more inline with historical norms.

Motifs/recipes all seem to be the same as past years drop rates.

Love this event to stock up on the rare crafting style materials I use to do master writs throughout the year.

Only 'weird' drops for me is that I haven't gotten a Worm Hunter Belts style page on any of my 4 accounts yet... while I've learned all the other pages on all 4 accounts (other than 1 page I only have gotten 3 copies of)... RNG is fickle!

    @Elvenheart ,

It's actually 203 boxes per day from crafting writs, across three accounts.

    Account one - 16 characters, Account two - 7 characters, Account 3 - 6 characters.

I use "that" addon and take my time, I'm in the same guilds on all three accounts so lots of chatting goes on AND I only do this during this event.

Some days I go off and do more dailies too. 🙂

I know it’s all random, but last year I got a few Eyes of Mora style mats and I have got zero this year, despite doing all daily crafting quests on 9 characters instead of the 5 characters I did last year.

I got three drops of Glass Eyes today, so they are dopping.

I opened just over 200 boxes, I received 37 motifs(7 were Worm Cult) , I got 3 perfect roe and a smattering of other gold mats.

I am seeing a lot of Rheum and Dragonblood which is just getting stashed for now.

Vile Coagulent is also dropping a lot, which is great, I was getting low and I love Vampiric Furnishings. I've received some Culanda Laquer, some Shimmering Sand and as mentioned above some Glass Eyes, I would like more but still plenty of time.

I'm sorry but I do not consider in any way these boxes to be worthless, I love this event and for me personally it is still well worth farming!! 💕

I think last year they were 5 style mats in each box. Was yours 3 boxes of mats or just 3 mats on one box?

Wow, 200 boxes, I am in awe! I do my seven crafting dailies on one character so I get one gold box and six purple ones. I do have 10 other characters that could do crafting dailies for 70 more boxes in a day, but I just don’t have it in me to do any more crafting dailies each day.

Park your alts in Skingrad, and do the writs there. Grab the writs, start with woodworking, work your way around the circle, and you end right there at the writ turn-in. Also, at the crafting stations set them to "Quest Only" and you don't even need to choose what to craft as it will fill it all in for you if you have an active writ. Makes your writs go stupid-fast.

Unless you're on PC, then I believe there's an addon to do your writs for you.

Thank you for the advice…I am on PC and I use the addon, the problem is just me. If I try to do crafting writs on more than one character, such as when we have one of those double gold events, I can usually make it to three or four before my eyes start to close and I start to fall asleep in my chair. I sometimes do my writs in Skingrad and sometimes in Blackwood depending on the mood. 🙂

Just want to be clear here, while we know the change in the drop rate from the hotfix is frustrating, we were returning the drop rate to be inline with previous Anniversary Jubilee events. The drop rate was higher than it should have been and any adjustments were to bring it inline with previous events. So we did not lower the drop rate lower than previous Jubilee events, just bringing them inline to match.

However, feedback noted on it feeling better per hotfix and we can take that back to the team.

Thank you @ZOS_Kevin for acknowledging this. I think it would make us all happier if the drop rates were communicated transparently upfront in the event/patch notes.

Like a visible % chance, so if the notes say 5% chance for gold item, people will not be upset when the drop rate is corrected from a mistaken 50% to 5%. In fact, it would just be a nice little surprise for everyone who participated while drop rate was higher than intended.

Well that explains why I was seeing weird items when the event started, like the rare food components. But I'm ok with the boxes, they provide me with extra resources with little to no work [I do the daily crafting writ farm on multiple toons each day]

I think that's the best point. Why, for what possible reason, are the furnishings bound? Sure, I do housing, but not everyone does, and there is ZERO logical reason to keep us from trading a few banners and wreaths. I mean, did I miss the fact that they upset game balance because you get an extra +.01% damage for each one in your house? No? They don't do that? Then what's the issue?

Can't compain about the motif pages, or furnishing plans :)

But I wish the bound furnishings to be sellable if I have too many. Why can't those be sold for 1g? It's a QoL thing.

If anything the event is totally crashing the motif market and has done so for a few years now. Motifs have no value these days as they are just handed to you without any effort.

I really have to repeat my point and say this:

We should be celebrating ESO 10 years anniversary. So far I must say I don't feel like it. This jubilee event would have been a great way to celebrate with better drops from jubilee boxes in comparison to earlier years. Why not add a little extra, maybe not as much as it was in the start of this event ( I admit that the flow of gold materials was a bit insane ) but there is no need to nerf it this much. Now after the nerf of drop rates and after opening +200 boxes the gold materials and other worthy drops have almost vanished completely.

It really made me stop doing any extra dailies or other activities to get these boxes other than what I get from daily crafting. For me the jubilee event is over.

@ZOS_Kevin in some ESO live stream it was clearly stated that the year 2025 will be a celebration year because of ESO 10 year anniversary and that the year would be filled with celebration events. Where are these events? So far the only thing that tells me that there is a 10 year celebration going on is "a sign that says so". The start of this jubilee event with extra nice drops from jubilee boxes actually felt good. Why take it away? We understand a little tuning to drop rates but what you did was completely ruining the party.

Exactly. When was it? What anniversary?

It was supposed to be 15 months long celebration going all the way until the end of june 2025. So far the celebrations have been a total disappointment. This jubilee event with extra nice drops would have been a great gift to players but they had to take even that away. Now the boxes mostly just contain trash without any real worth.

The rewards are now underwhelming. Yes, I get motifs, but I have so many already, from running around for ten years or so in this game.

Been farming a little, but see no point in getting them anymore. They are 98% generic mats, that I get from writs and running around.

I had hoped it would feel like a 10 year jubilee. Something that stood a little out from, say 3 years, 8 years... etc. But nope

@katanagirl1 it was three drops from three different boxes and I want to say each drop was 5 Glass Eyes but tbh I just didn't take that much notice!, so I am not 100% on that!

It wasn't the first time they had dropped either! 🙂

FWIW, I currently have 30 glass eyes and I know for a fact that I had zero before the event (cuz I used what I had). Though I haven't been paying attention to the mat drops very closely, but I assume they all came in 5 at a time.

I have to echo the already posted concerns. This is probably the only way I ever receive rare crafting items. Since the hotfix I have only received the usual purple crafting and old motifs. I open over 100 boxes per day just doing my writs. I too feel the event has now ended. I already have so much of the other crafting materials. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. :)

Gave the boxes another try last night. Opened over 50 of them and talk about disappointing. Farming them was an absolute waste of time. Way to completely kill the enthusiasm around an event.

I'll keep checking here in hopes that ZOS rolls back the nerf but we all know that probably isn't going to happen.

For those saying the drop rates are same as previous years are 100% wrong. Even before hotfix stuff wasn’t dropping right. I’m not talking about the provisioning ingredients even tough the rate is still lower. It’s super rare to even get a base legendary material. That wasn’t the case before. Also outside of stuff that anyone should already have an abundance of there’s absolutely nothing worth getting the boxes for. Motifs are cheap enough as it is and after a day or two you have already gotten all the same prints over and over again.

Edit: Also going into the second decade of ESO wouldn’t now be the time to actually change up events. You know, maybe do something a little different other than adding a crappy looking style page.

I'm going to admit to being underwhelmed with the reward coffers post-hotfix. Motif chapter drop rates are noticeably lower, event-themed furnishing drops seem to be a bit lower (a good thing), rarer mat drops seem to be a bit lower, useless and mostly worthless style page drops seem to be a bit higher, and the rest is stuff that I'm more or less indifferent to. I ended up using an out-of-the-way house to store Jester's furnishings and it looks like I'll be using another to store the Anniversary stuff. Might find a use for it somewhere down the line, like building a wall using Jesters Boxes as bricks, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

Thanks for this post! I'm doing the crafting writs on all my alts on PS/NA when I have the time. Decided to try Skingrad instead of Vivec City today. It's a little quicker doing crafting writs there, and I will probably leave most of the alts there for the rest of this event.

Also, I'm not unhappy with this event so far. Doesn't feel any different than previous years for me. I'm still getting the occasional event box drop that my master crafter does not know, and many other event box/crafting writ drops are selling at the guild trader, so the gold is coming in from both the crafting writs and the guild trader sales.

But it's all RNG, just because you got a great reward, there is nothing I can do to get the same result. Should I play constantly until the end of the event I might not see such a thing .. in fact I have never had one in all my years playing (edit: referring to the cipher screenshot above).

Yeah. That was kinda my point. Because by that same logic, just becomes some don't get great results doesn't make them worthless either.

The gold mats are dropping consistently enough as well. Just not absurdly fast like they were the first couple of days.

The event seems to have worthwhile rewards, even with the change in drop frequency of the provisioning ingredients. I love stocking up on crafting mats.

For people who have played the game for a long time and already unlocked most recipes and motifs, it can be easy to forget how amazing this event is for newer and also more casual players. My son has played for almost a year, but very casually, mostly doing dailies and dungeons with me. (His very favorite thing in the game is being my arcanist healer while we duo a dungeon, spamming his little whirly green things, so that thread was amusing.)

He is having an absolute blast right now. He is using all of his daily screen time on ESO, which is a first. He's never had any interest in a trade guild, and I probably wouldn't let him join a guild even if he did have interest. (I have chat turned off for him by having everything unchecked on the open tab.) When we play and he gets a good drop, he is excited and immediately eats it (on whatever character he's on, which drives me a little insane with my OCD, but if he's enjoying it, whatever.) Lots of people play ESO a little more casually than most of us here, or they are just getting into the game and don't have all the motifs and blue and purple recipes that are dropping like crazy. This is the most fun he's ever had playing ESO. The gold provisioning mats he got in the first few days were worthless to him because he'll most likely never have the recipes to use them and never be in a trade guild to sell them. And he's not alone in this. Most players in the game do not have those XP and AP boost recipes, other than maybe the basic psijic ambrosia. So those mats were only useful to sell for most people, and the prices were crashing hard. It was reasonable for ZOS to make a change and orient back toward things most players could actually use, rather than things they could only sell.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having fun and just doing stuff they would normally do in-game and enjoying all the free extra loot that comes with it during the event.

I used to do writs on 20 toons during this event. Now everything that drops during this event is so devalued it's not worth putting in the time anymore. I already have more mats than I could ever use, and their value is so low it's not worth the time to vendor them. Kinda sad actually.
