Anniversary Jubilee Crates are now worthless!

Hey @ZOS_Kevin when you guys applied the Hotfix to the Jubilee crate drops, did you accidentally turn off all the good loot?

I do appreciate that they were dropping more of certain high-end materials that you'd expect, but since the Hotfix the drop levels of anything good (valuable) have fallen off a cliff. With astonishingly few exceptions, all I'm getting now is low level materials, low level blueprints/recipes, the occasional motif page - and an absolute ton of bound furnishings. Did you guys have to nerf the event so badly?

Yeah I didn't really get anything interesting BEFORE the nerf, not really any point to farming boxes if I am just getting a bunch of green patterns my main already knows.

The extreme nerf to the loot tables has nerfed my desire to farm for the boxes.

I won't focus any more time and effort into the event activities.

I just did a bunch of daily crafting writs. On average, the reward from the writ was worth more than the super-special event boxes. One had goods worth <30g.

Sounds like y'all had a run of bad luck. The hotfix was yesterday and I got decent rewards though not as many as the day before.

All the hotfix changed was the drop-rate of the Ambrosia/Tortes ingredients (ie.. dusts, extracts, etc.). An the drop rates were lowered, not turned off.

And if that's all you were farming the boxes for, well, okay. But to say they're now worthless is beyond exaggeration.

Just want to be clear here, while we know the change in the drop rate from the hotfix is frustrating, we were returning the drop rate to be inline with previous Anniversary Jubilee events. The drop rate was higher than it should have been and any adjustments were to bring it inline with previous events. So we did not lower the drop rate lower than previous Jubilee events, just bringing them inline to match.

However, feedback noted on it feeling better per hotfix and we can take that back to the team.

Maybe they going to fix the drop rate of the Chef Arquitius's Lost Thesis so there is use for all these Mourning Dews?

I agree. I feel like they watered them down from past events and now they do this. If I wanted generic mats, I'd just farm or buy some.

They're exactly the same as previous years now. Aside from a silly high drop rate of style pages I've had for 4 years already. I feel like they increased those rates.

That's what I mean. It seems to me, and maybe I'm wrong, a few years ago motifs used to drop more often. And then at some point they made those style pages and recipes the "good" reward more often. This year it seemed like mats were thing and those rare mats were the one thing you'd get more often but they changed it back.

@agelonestar I was wondering the same thing as I noticed way less of a lot of items today. As I was completing my daily crafting writs on my 3 toons, I only managed to get 2 motif and 3 recipe pages out of 24 boxes. I went to Alik'r, ran a few anchors and still no motifs, but plenty of low level materials.

I agree that this has definitely put a damper on me wanting to keep doing more than just my daily writs and grab my tickets.

Around 400 writs since the change and I'm not even seeing regular golden mats drop anymore. 1 tempering alloy past two days. Other friends who are heavy crafters are reporting the same. I'm getting better rewards from the regular writs.

I'm not finding them worthless. Still many things I can use in them. I would say they are diminished in value since the expensive mat drops were reverted to normal.

Even after the fix, drops have seemed great. Still many motifs, many gold mats. It was excessive beforehand.

Again, this is a situation where Zos can't win. People complain that the market gets flooded during this event and crashes the economy. People also complain that drops are too low. Lose-lose regardless.

Part of the issue is how the gold value of things has dropped over the past year. It's easy for the same amount of stuff to feel like a lot less now.

But with that said, the "good" motif drops seem non-existent this year. I only seem to be getting very common motifs or worm-cult (the value of which also dropped very low last I checked). For gold mats, the last 300 boxes gave me a total of 1 tempering alloy, 2 kuta and 2 chromium plating. Zero rosin and dreugh wax.

Those same boxes gave me 45 furnishings. Usually I like furnishings in events, but them being bound makes them more of an inventory management issue than anything else.

I don't know a good fix and I'm glad the event is a thing. I just wish the odds seemed a bit higher for some less easy to get motifs and for things like dreugh wax.

I'm curious, does "high value items" inclued Motif pages? Because this year's drop rate of motifs seemed pretty normal compared to past years to me, now today, nothing.

Yes, I was getting Roe and Aetherial dust, ect and thought that was strange. The motif drop rate felt normal.

If little to no drop rate for motifs is the intended normal, that has really put a damper on the rest of the event for me. 😕

For future reference, you might get less complaints if you target your drop rates a little low, and then increase them as necessary. While I'm sure some people would still complain about the loot getting "better" after a hot fix, the number is probably lower than the number that complain when loot quality goes down. Just a suggestion.

Same here. I've gotten Perfect Roe, Mourning Dew, and Rubyblossom Extract after the hotfix, although not nearly as much as before the hotfix. RNG is always a very, very temperamental and fickle thing.

Motif drops are rng still. I got around 20 motifs today just from writs. Yesterday I believe I got 7.

    Hi @ZOS_Kevin - I appreciate the response.

I know this thread doesn't represent a huge volume of the community, but I'd respectfully ask you to note that overwhelmingly this crowd is saying that the drops post-fix are not as good as previous events.

I don't know what you guys did to the drop table, but the boxes are now dropping junk, single items of mats, low level stuff. Drops of motifs and higher level items have reduced significantly. What I'm getting a lot more of is Jubilee BOUND (!!!!) furnishings by the truck load, style mats, and old style pages that are already so prevalent that they're value-less. My guess is that by adding the BOUND (!!!!) furnishings to the table, something is out of proportion.

Previous years have been better - I know, I have played every single one.

Yes, motifs were absolutely dropping lots more the first years and the last ones were weighted out by plans and better tier mats. Now since mats got nerfed it's obviously too far from what it once was, but probably more in line with recent years which I wasn't paying much attention since motifs became not the primarily drop from these but more of a lucky find.

I wanna say that since this fix, I've still gotten cool stuff. My main draw in this event is motif pages and maybe furnishing plans I don't know. While I understand that ZOS wants to bring it in line with previous event drops, I can't wrap my head around the cheering from people in the community. I'll never understand the attitude that people getting stuff makes others cry foul. Is the need to win at economy simulator so great that others getting lots of stuff makes you unhappy? Am I off base here? I'm not directing this at anyone in particular in this thread. Just since yesterday, comments I've seen on the topic in the forums, reddit and in game about peoples fear for their own wealth generation and applause at these nerfs kinda made me cringe.

There is definitely a TON of bound Jubilee furnishings, which I do not know how to feel about that. I'm basically getting one per box on all my crafting dailies, which is taking away a loot slot from literally anything else. The occasional furnishing is fine/cool, but I am seriously talking 5-6 furnishings per toon out of what, seven crafting dailies?
