Personally I don’t think anything should be character bound(outside of like the way the armor sets are done), but lately it’s been getting a little ridiculous. Why are event furnishings bound, why do I still get cruel pages that are bound that I can’t even sell to my merchant for one gold. I don’t really get this new obsession with let’s see how many things we can make bound. I could care less about selling stuff, but I do like to share with people in my guild, and it floors me some of the items they have decided to bind. I’m guessing next patch all motifs and furniture plans will be bound then after that they’ll do a maintenance patch to bind mats just to be safe from whatever issue I guess they think will rise from people being able to trade this stuff
Really.
I want to put my transmute geodes to bank. Or maybe collect them in one place. The concept of character bound items outside of quest items are just ridiculus.

Housing and ToT are the only activities in the game I'm not involved in in any way. I have hundreds of dug up antiquities just collecting dust in my free houses (Lunar Champ, Alpine, etc). I'd rather sell or just outright give them away to people who actually want them

Honest question. Why are you digging them up if you don't want them?

emilyhyoyeon wrote: »I was thinking of this earlier, and I realized I'm pretty sure these furnishings are bound is because they are also able to be bought from the holiday achievement furnishing vendors in the main cities like Elden Root. And because furnishings from achievement vendors are bound by the nature of them being achievement related, the ones from the boxes are bound as well, since they're the same item.

Just to clear them out of the list. I originally thought years back I might actually enjoy housing. I just lack the patience for it, if I'm being completely honest about myself.
But! I am buying Castle Skingrad as a Guild effort, as we have many talented decorators. They can use any antiquity and/or furnishings they want.

Let those who enjoy certain activities rock and roll, and sell the spoils.
Let those who hate certain activities ignore them and buy the spoils.
Play how you want, win win, right?
MMOs need players to participate in a variety of content and repeat content to have long term value. Having some bound items helps with both.

I think they are bound so that those of us who may want them but are done with playing would have to play to get them, instead of buying them from guild traders.
I think everything comes back to greed, in the long run.

When is the Castle going to be available?
