How many threads on the forums would go away if the game had weighted RNG?

I’ve given up. There’s only so much grinding a person can do. I have lost count of how often I have done these quests and over how many characters (and even over multiple accounts).

This is also my least favourite event with the crappiest drops.

Try what I did yesterday. I only did the one to bring the pig to the king and the two posted on the post next to him to defeat King Boar and gather apples. I did only these 3 quests on 6 of my characters because they go much faster than the other quests. My 6th character got my last fragment. Also, as I mentioned in an earlier post, both fragments I got this year came from the one to defeat King Boar, which may just be a coincidence but who knows?

I have 4 of 7, and I think I got those 4 in my first year or two. None for at least 3 years.

You can buy those from the Impresario's Assistant for two tickets each though. I'd happily pay five tickets each for my five missing pig fragments, even if that meant buying some tickets from the Crown Store.

Oh man oh man, very frustrating day today. I have 10 characters. I did every single jester quest I could on all 10 characters. I did not get a single fragment. I will do the grind again later today. It’s very frustrating why we can’t just buy individual fragments with event tickets. It would be a win win for the company and the customers

144 dailies done and not a single fragment. I just need one more, the Sovereign Libations, and then I'll have the pig. Really starting to think that the drops are like how the battleground pages supposedly are where the game doesn't reroll or curate the drop if you already have the thing already.

Friend of mine who started with just one fragment has done the same amount of dailies and has gotten 4 fragments, with each successive fragment taking longer to drop than the previous ones. I already know someone will say that "it's just rng"/"that's how rng works", but the drop rate for untradeable, daily limited items should not have to be so low for an event that usually lasts about a week as opposed to the length other events run.

The phrase doesn't need to be a personal attack. It can be against a group, in this case players. Some might feel more strongly than others and I openly confess when it comes to anything jester related, I am the prime audience. I do not know a single other event-related thing that is as difficult than this collectible. So yeah, nice that they theoretically added the fragments in the purple boxes - or so they say, but the drop rate being way below 1% is a joke. It is a slight. This makes me not enjoy my previously favourite event.

edit: previously it was just this unobtainable thing I have grown to accept over the years. Now they did the horrible thing of giving hope and then snatching it away with this abysmal drop rate and that is worse. Don't give hope if I still don't have any possibility to get it.

Man oh man. I’ve done 210 jesters quests over the last 3 days and gotten 2 total fragments… this is so stupid. Like let us buy the fragments or rework your RNG system this is absurd and I probably won’t do any other events because I have burnt myself out doing 15 hours of jester festival horse crap this weekend for basically nothing

That's about 1% drop rate. And that means they do drop from the purple boxes. I'm still waiting for the first one to drop and that will be waaaay less than 1% drop chance for me.

I have collected 2 in total over the years from the golden boxes, but I have not gotten any from purple ones this year. And I do all the quests with multiple characters every day.

But good to know that they actually do drop from the purple ones. There's just not going to be enough time or quests for me to complete this during this year's event. Not with my rng.

I've only been playing for two years, so I got one pig fragment in each of the previous Jester's Festivals. I haven't even got one so far this year, so no chance of getting the pig this time round.

At least the players who missed out on the 'dinosaur onesie' got lucky...

I've gotten one more drop this event (so 5/7) and it definitely came from a purple box.
