Map Improvements
The team has been looking for ways to improve ESO’s in-game map, with the intention of making it easier to understand and parse for both new players and veteran players alike. While there are still more changes we wish to implement in future packages, the first batch of quality-of-life improvements includes the following changes:
- The Tamriel view of the map will now only show one Wayshrine per zone.
- The Tamriel view of the map will now only show favorited and primary homes. You may still favorite as many homes as you’d like.
- Dungeons and Trials will no longer be shown by default on the Tamriel view of the map, but can still be toggled on.
- The Tamriel, Blackreach, and Aurbis views of the map now have a more catered filter list.
- The ‘Wayshrines’ filter has been split into the following filters:
- Wayshrines
- Dungeons
- Trials
- Houses
- If you have a focused quest, the quest’s ultimate location will now show on the Tamriel and Aurbis maps. If the ultimate location is on the ring of the Aurbis, the location will be shown on the appropriate symbolic location, like Clockwork City.
- Quest indicators, group member indicators, and player indicators will now show on symbolic locations if said indicators are pointing to those locations.
- The names of zones in the Tamriel view of the map will now appear as you zoom in.
- When hovering over a Wayshrine, the name of the zone will now appear in the tooltip.
Hi!
Is there a way to make the homes appear back on the main Tamriel map?
Maybe an addon that can do it?
...
My homes have all disappeared from the map
Val
I have like, 40 homes already favorited belonging to other players and I do not see any of them on any map.
I get that, but then cannot favorite as many as I like.
There is limit of 100 shared with all other kinds of collectibles (except mounts).
Is this a bug? Are the homes supposed not to count toward that limit of 100 collectibles? (Just like the mounts).

Maybe a problem with one of your addons?
w/o Addons:
1x House is primary (Sword-Singer' s Redoubt)
1x house is favorite (Haven of the Five Companions)
edit: outdated, didn't see your last post ...
Hi @Renoir888. This is working as intended and apart of some of the new map improvements we've made in U45. You can see a general rundown here in the patch notes. Also included the line down below referring to this.

Never thought about favoriting my own homes. Thanks, @ZOS_Kevin!

I am into housing, so I am not simply using the maps to travel around.
Homes are deposits for furniture that I need to access quickly and often as I move stuff around to decorate new homes. Or they may be places where I craft objects to then transport them to their final destination.
Players also connect homes with each other to create larger villages and towns from scratches. Accessing homes quickly is important for seamless and immersive play.
Thanks so much to all who answered so far and helped me!
And especially thanks to @Zos_Kevin for taking into consideration the needs of players like me,
Ren
FYI, there are currently 106 different player homes in the game, so for someone like me who owns all of them it would be impossible to favourite all my homes to see them on the map, even if I didn't favourite any other types of collectibles. That really doesn't matter to me personally, since I greatly prefer the new uncluttered map of Tamriel and I don't want to see all (or even any, TBH) of my homes on it, just pointing out that there are more houses available than the limit you can favourite. Also you should still be able to go into individual zones and select the homes from there.I get that, but then cannot favorite as many as I like.

Just checked in with the team. This is not a bug. For now, there is the 100 collectible count and houses count toward that. We have let the team know about this instance and they are going to look into options down the line to improve the cap. But nothing confirmed or set in stone right now.

Oh, good question. 9. That's between Apocrypha, Artaeum, Blackreach, Clockwork City, Coldharbour, and The Deadlands. I may have a spreadsheet where I track my homes and I can easily filter for location to answer questions like thisDenverRalphy wrote: »FYI, there are currently 106 different player homes in the game, so for someone like me who owns all of them it would be impossible to favourite all my homes to see them on the map, even if I didn't favourite any other types of collectibles. How many of those homes are in zones that wouldn't show up on the Tamriel Map anyway? ie.. Clockwork City, Arteum, Apocrypha, Blackreach, etc..? Honest question. Just curious.

Why so responsive on live? Never should have made it to live without acknowledging the unimprovements.
