I'm not an expert on timekeeping in the world of TES, but is there an actual fluctuation in the hours of daylight that would warrant Tamriel to have their own version of Daylight Savings? Does anyone know how the day/night cycle actually works on Nirn, and how the people settled on the time and date system they currently use?

    Thanks for the reminder.

I do wish they would just stop, though. They keep saying they are going to but it's not happened yet. It always throws me off for awhile when they do it.

I guess depends on if Nirn is tilted, not sure how we'd figure that out though. Are there any references to seasons? I mean, parts of Cyrodiil and Skyrim seem to be in perpetual fall, while northern Skyrim seems to be in perpetual winter.

I would guess there would have to still be time zones though. Just probably not something spoken about, like regional currency existing in more places than mentioned.

    I hate it.

For people like me, waking up early in the morning, swapping to summer time means being back into darkness for up to 4 more weeks before to regain day light at waking up.

Europe had prepared to get rid of it, but covid stopped the process and now there are other sad priorities.

I really dislike summer time (concert and outside cinema at night with day light and other things...), so I have no objectivity on that subject... Sorry! o:)

I'm out of my mind, feel free to leave a message... PC/NA

Not all of the US does DST, thankfully we don’t where I live. I do have to keep up with the fact that everyone else just shifted an hour different from us, though. So for that reason I wish you all would quit doing it too.

Just look at the event schedule: we have the New Life celebration to mark the winter solstice, plus spring and fall events. The passage of seasons is implied even if zone weather never shifts to mark it.

Doesn't the time change affect the Golden Vendor and the Luxury Furnisher? I know at one time it used to change the time they appeared. That is game related.

Hate it. Want my real honest to god time back all year. As for time in Tamriel? *shrug* Doesn't matter to me, I play whether it's daylight or what passes for dark.

The very early morning is the only time I have for ESO. The NA server resetting at 6 AM EDT, as opposed to 5 AM during EST, for the next eight months, is rather inconvenient.
