Sheogorath-themed class

Seeing Arcanist revolving around Haemous Mora, it kinda gives me hope for a Sheogorath oriented/dedicated class.
There are already assets (such as butterflies) to make it happen.

But we probably won't see any new class in a while, especially with the changes to how the content will be released, will we?

By the Divines no. Arcanist was bad enough as it is, don't need more extremely niche themed classes with extreme effects.

Even less so to Sheogorath who is overdone in the game and not that well portrayed. Just random cheese and butterflies.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

You mean I could bludgeon someone with a wheel of cheese?

I can thoroughly destroy any player's mind?

Does that mean Volendrung gets to come out of Cyrodiil and be totally OP?

I really want a new class. Really really really. So much so that I'd take anything.

And even then, I'd be furious if it was this.

There are 17 18 Daedric Princes. Can we feature someone other than that overdone ninny for once?

A proper minstrel class or bard perhaps is a better choice? cheese and butterflies aside, sheo is the prince of bards and minstrels more or less.

Though I think Sheo would work better as a Tales of Tribute deck, the idea of having a Wabbajack ultimate with a 20 meter area of effect morph that only affected enemy players would make the current event quite fun; Ball groups turned into herds of Bantam Guars at the touch of a button. Glorious.

This. I'd never use it, I'd be HORRIBLY disappointed that it was a new class, and I'd probably leave the game for sure.

Hermaeus Mora worked as a class theme because there was Apocrypha themed magic in Skyrim.

We also need a martial focused class not another wizard.

For what it's worth, I think this is a cool idea - I'm not too sure how it would work exactly though.

It could be kind of cool to open up new universal skill trees (like the mages and fighters guild ones) that are based on the daedric princes and divines. But, make it so you only get access to one skill tree at a time, based of whichever being you choose to worship/favour, not unlike some of the Skyrim faith mods.

Sadly these forums are probably one of the worst places for new ideas or change - there definitely seems to be a lack of imagination or any sort of desire for discussion that deviates from whatever the precious status quo is.

As much as I enjoy Uncle Sheo, even if a cheesy class (hehe) is introduced, I don't see myself making a character with it. Even though I have 7 characters, I only really play one, my main. She has a (mini) background and many achievements I worked very hard for — and the achievements' account-widening is very unappealing here.

Now, if ZOS (finally) create a class change token, however, I gladly climb a mountain and scream from the top of my lungs CHEESE! FOR EVERYONE!

Hah as much as that last point about Volendrung being part of a Sheogorath-themed class sounds appealing, it'd break a lot of lore!

There is only one Volendrung, and Sheo occasionally lends it to us in Cyrodiil - but only temporarily.

Bludgeoning people with cheese though - that's a very entertaining thought :D

This forum can be fine discussing in, it really depend on what you suggest. Like a new universal skill trees that is religion based with aedra, daedra etc? That's interesting and I for one would be happy to discuss. But another extremely niche and gimmicky class with bad portrayal and likely annoying effects? No thanks. What we have is too much.

If there were a new class I think at this point what I'd like to see is one that majors on physical / melee skills. The game is getting a bit too magical woo woo for my tastes and there doesn't seem to be much reason to play with anything other than destruction staves at the moment.

A class with truly unique physical skills, eg a power stamp putting rifts in the earth to trap enemies, (metal) chain attacks, etc, would add some much-needed variety.

With the new skill styles, we could potentially see more themed skill styles get released. We had the ice/frost themed pack over winter holidays, so there's some precedent for it.

If I could corrupt my arcanist skills with some uncle Sheo themed madness and visuals, that would be tons of fun - slap on the jester personality and go blasting pink/purple beams and butterflies all over the place!

To say nothing of the deadly cheese cruxes...

I would prefer an Artificer class, they would be themed around the use of Dwarven Technology, here is a quick mock-up I made, it would be sort of like that but I am fresh out of ideas.

    Artificer

    Dwarven Traps (DPS)
    • Ultimate - Spinning Blade Trap
Set a Dwarven blade trap at the targeted location, the blade spins in place for 9 seconds dealing XXXX bleed damage per second while shredding 4000 points of Armor from the target every second for 6 seconds.

Morph A - Giant Blade Trap, the radius of the trap is increased by 3 meters
Morph B - Rusty Blade Trap, the Blade trap deals XXXX additional disease damage when the target leaves the trap

    Ancient Technology (Tanking)
    • Ultimate - Bubble Shield
Use Ancient Dwarven Technology to attach a Bubble Shield to yourself for 12 seconds, The shield will move with the caster, All allies within the shield resist 15% of incoming damage, once the shield expires it explodes dealing XXXX damage to those nearby.

Morph A - Mystic Shield, the Shield now applies minor endurance, minor fortitude and minor intellect.
Morph B - Volatile Bubble Shield, the Shield now deals XXXX points of damage to enemies standing within.

    Control Rod (Healing)
    • Ultimate - Dwarven Medic
Use your Dwarven control rod to command a Dwarven Medic to heal nearby allies, the Dwarven Medic has 40,000 health, lasts for 60 seconds and will target the nearest injured ally restoring XXXX health every 1 second, once the target's health is above 80% the medic will target another ally.

Morph A - Dwarven , Summon a second Dwarven Medic
Morph B - Dwarven Drone, Summon a Dwarven Drone with 20,000 health, the Dwarven Drone will move 50% faster and also restore the targets Magicka and Stamina.

    Don't worry, I gotchu
    Secrets of Dwemer Animunculi
    • Summon Spider (a permanent Spider centurion pet that does a melee attack). Morphs to have a stronger electric attack, or you can activate it again to put it into a charging state where it heals and empowers all constructs nearby for a time
    • Summon Jumping Spider (a temporary pet that acts like a Blastbones). Morphs to jump more times before exploding or to debuff enemies hit
    • Summon Sphere Centurion (a permanent Sphere centurion pet that has a crossbow ranged attack). Morphs to become an Arquebus with a lightning ranged attack or changes to a melee slash and can be activated to turtle up and heal itself
    • Summon Sentry (a temporary pet that stays in place and absorbs 50% of damage to allies in range). Morphs to have higher health or to release stored damage as a lightning attack
    • Dwemervamidium Armor (an armor summon like the memento that counts you as a construct while active). Morphs to return some damage like the Radiant Bastion set or apply a DoT around the caster
Ultimate: Summon Centurion (a temporary pet that slams down like the Sorc Storm Atro and then starts spinning its blades). Morphs to follow a target while spinning or to stay stationary and just fire lightning blasts all over - see the blue and red Centurions in Volenfell.

    Tools of Kagrenac
    • Jolt (a melee lightning spammable). Morphs to allow the lightning to jump to three other close enemies, or adds a cast time to make it a conal steam blast with knockback
    • Grenade (a ground-targeted throwable grenade with physical damage). Morphs to do fire damage and leave a ground DoT or applies Hemorrhage and a sticky bleed on enemies hit.
    • Blade Trap (a placeable trap that takes a bit to arm like the FG Barbed trap skill. Spins and does heavy damage in the area). Morphs to be placeable at range or to apply a snare to enemies inside.
    • Colossus Arms (a melee conal buzzsaw). Morphs to snare or to become a conal fire blast, both like the Colossus arms attacks
    • Conduit (a three part attack to set two pylons and then a third activation to spark a lightning bolt between them). Morphs to snare enemies inside or to do much higher damage instantly, but then the pylons need to be reset
Ultimate: Dwemer Ballista (spawns a ballista that functions as it does in PvP. It has 3 shots under perfect conditions, but it and you can be attacked). Morphs to guard you while using it or to double the time it's active.

    Tonal Architecture
    • Resonance (an AoE heal like vigor, but a burst heal). Morphs to have a HoT or to add a buff to allies
    • Prism (a ground-targeted totem that heals in range). Morphs add buffs to allies or to debuff enemies.
    • Harpy Song (an AoE damage spammable). Morphs to fear enemies or charm enemies from a larger radius.
    • Animus (essentially the Necro skill Bitter Harvest)
    • Tonal Connection (connects to an ally with a beam to buff everyone in the beam's path). Morphs to add a HoT or to distribute damage taken to all members
Ultimate: Apotheosis (freezes you and puts your character into an undamageable state for 2 secs. 1 second after activation, it will resurrect nearby allies and buff them. After 2 seconds, your character dies). Morphs to not kill you completely but not give allies as much of a buff, or to give you 5 seconds of inaction before your character dies.
I know the DLC classes really stick to a tank/heal/DPS setup for their class lines, but I really like the idea of an Artificer more being along the basegame lines of skills that go in certain categories so you have a mix of skill lines per role. That's what made me think more of the lines being summons, gadgets, and Tonal Magic (your typical D&D Bard stuff that people have been asking for)

I also think the Artificer idea would fit really well into the world. Arcanist was sun, sure but... it's not exactly a 'common' form of magic to see in Tamriel, and the idea of a bunch of Hermaeus Mora cultists throwing laser rave parties is a bit understandably awkward. Dwemer stuff, however... well, here's a list of all zones in Tamriel so far that have Dwemer ruins: Stros, Alik'r, Bangkorai, Stonefalls, Deshaan, Eastmarch, the Rift, Craglorn, Wrothgar, Vvardenfell, WSkyrim, the Reach, Blackreach, Telvanni Peninsula (not counting Clockwork City, which is Clockwork not Dwemer). That's a lot.

We also already have NPCs who are known as Dwemer scholars - Neramo, the Vanos siblings, Tharayya. There's even a quest on Stros where you help Neramo's brother repair a Sphere and Neramo himself has a Spider following him. Revus Demnevanni also had a few quests involving using Tonal magic in Vvardenfell. And let's not forget that the lore of ESO also has the Lancer siege weapons as Dwemer weapons found with Antiquities.

Further, in TES lore, we even had summonable Spheres in TES:3 Morrowind, which could only be obtained by reading the book "Secrets of Dwemer Animunculi." Again, TES:3 had a number of Dwemer researchers (Edwinna Elbert and Hasphat Antabolis, not to mention Baladas Demnevanni and Yagrum himself). And finally, TES:5 gave us a researcher in Arniel Gane, who proved exactly what happens when you delve too deeply into the Dwemer secrets. Heck, even TES:4, without really any Dwemer stuff outside of the armor, even got the Orrery DLC and gives us Bothiel as a mage researcher as well.

I want an Artificer class so bad. It'd be fun to have something that works more as a trap fighter - we have lots of classes based around mobility or DoTs or burst, but we really don't have much involving a complex trap setup outside of guild skills like Trap Beast or Fire Rune. Plus, it'd be fun if the new class could also offer some interesting buffs/debuffs we don't really see sourced anywhere like Timidity.

I really really want a new Class to come out soon. But I really really really want an Artificer to be that class.
