Special Interest Wish list

Some of these things I've been hoping for since launch, and I'd love to see any of them added to the game. There's quite a bit of my hyperfixations/special interests, so, everyone, please feel free to add things you've been dying to see in the game for years, especially if they cater to your special interests, or if you have a specific type of pet you'd like to see in game! Not just stuff that would be kinda cool to see... special things that you have been hoping and wishing for, that hasn't gotten added yet.

-My cat, Ziggy is the top of my list, a chonky little white and tortoiseshell tabby piebald calico with blue/yellow heterochromia, medium fur, and a short tail. She's my magick familiar and my ESA and loves watching and "helping" me play (please don't use the uncanny old base game cat model or the one with 4 ears!)

-I'd also love more beetles anywhere in game, like rhino and stag beetles as pets and mounts, even like rhino shalks or nix-rhinos... I'd especially love pet and mount versions of the Dwarven Dynastor Supreme World Boss, because that is the coolest thing in the entire game! Speaking of... trophy heads and bust furnishings of World Bosses would also be awesome...

-Better organization for collectibles, with more sub-categories, more favorite slots (or no limit), like all the eyes in their own category (instead of randomly split between facial hair and head markings), separate categories for tattoos, body paint, scars, makeup, etc... to allow more overlapping and mixing of skins and body and face markings. More freckles and the ability to have scars, freckles/birthmarks, tattoos, AND makeup, all at once

-Silt Hopper (or Strider!) mount

-Armor and weapon home furnishing plaques, display cases, and mannequins for any known outfit styles and motifs

-More/bigger storage furnishings

-Stackable master crafting writs, or ones that don't take inventory slots

-More furniture slots for pets and better sub categories for them (so "Exotic" isn't 10 times bigger than the others and doesn't have any "Fliers")

-Maormer skin colors, eyes, and ears

-Neirid polymorph

-More body markings that show up over skins and darker body markings for Vampires

-Hats that don't eat all your hair or clip through elf ears

-Major adornments that overlap with more things and clip through your hair better, or even let you adjust the position of them

-Ornaugs put with Serpentes mounts, instead of Canine, and more Serpentes mounts

-Player heterochromia

-More gloves and gauntlets with long nails or claws, like Xivkyn

-Clockwork prosthetics limbs, as a skin or as body adornments, a category for accessories like wings, tails, alternate limbs, mechanical or magickal prosthetics,

-More facial and body jewelry

-More metallic tattoos

-More and better eyepatches

-More pirate hats

-Moonshadow zone and Azura NPC

-Attribution's Share zone and Boethiah NPC

-More in the Spiral Skein, especially player housing

-No combat pets in towns (or at least give summoned Winged Twilights an animation to land when stationary, instead of perpetually flapping at the camera)

-Naryu and Divayth Fyr as houseguest furnishings

-Kagrenac's Tools outfit styles

-Return of the Trueflame outfit style page

-TES:III Daedric armor and weapon motifs/styles (bonus if cuirass page is a reward from Divayth Fyr)

-Hlaalo Manor player house in Balmora

-More explorable locations like towers, ruins, and NPC house interiors on Vvardenfell

Awesome post! Have always wanted a Balmora house, and a full canton one in vivec city.

The only thing from your list I would change is the nereid polymorph, and make it a new race instead... we just need many many more races, especially non-humanoid: Lamia, nereid, goblin, automaton, atronach, xivkyn, etc, etc. Basically all races in game, should be playable. (Note: Older styles and motifs don't have to work on them, only newly released styels/motifs should.)

    PS: Cute cat!

Yes. I need these for my main for roleplay reasons (arms specifically). As much as he likes walking around in Apostle armor, sometimes I'd like to swap for something different, but combining the robe/cuirass part of the CWC style with other armor styles doesn't really work because of those huge metal hip things (why can't these be part of the belt?!). I go for outfit styles that fully cover his arms and hands now, but I'd love to have the prosthetics seperately so I could use use more different outfit styles.

Not even a cat person, but that's a gorgeous fluff!

My biggest wish in this game is a sorcerer's tower player home RIGHT on the border of Northern Bangkorai and The Reach. With exits to both zones. I love the Tor Draioch style too, it would be perfect. The particular thing- for me- is the location. Location is everything.

I've bought and hoarded so much furnishing over the years, (including the magic sweeping brooms!) waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it.

I'd also love for my character to be able to cast firebolts with her bare hands and summon Flame Atronachs. I'd love to visit Breton Jehanna in the winter. And Winterhold before the Great Colapse. And to talk to the Redorans in mysterious Blacklight. I'd love for Magelight to shed real light like the green orb memento thingy does. Y'know, like a real light. I'd love to be able to be a "magicka tank" using mage wards and control-type magic like illusion. I'd love for a comprehensive and sensible boat transport system that utilizes all the docks in the port cities, so that you can travel between locations in an intuitive way. All very particular and special interest wishes.

But mostly just that beautiful tower in the Druadach mountains at the very edge of High Rock.

In case anyone wonders how underwear really looked like in the (Late) Middle Ages in Europe, there was a archeological find in Austria some years ago:
    https://www.uibk.ac.at/archaeologien/forschung/projekte/nutz/textilien-lengberg/mittelalterliche-unterwaesche/index.html.de
I think in feudal Asia underpants looked quite similar too, basically a wrapped around loincloth tied at the hips.

The more I think about it, there is actually even a loretext about Dunmer Ordinator clothing, including their underwear (of course, there are strict rules):
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:A_Guide_to_Liturgical_Vestments

The big question is: Would this appeal to most players?

I’d really like more maormer things. Water themed skill styles or a water class or water proc sets. Maormer playable race. Wereshark skill style. Pyandonean furnishings and clothing.

Also, personalities that affect swimming. Or just change the swimming animation. The current one makes no sense, but also I’d love to see argonians get a unique swimming animation akin to a gator. Where they undulate their body and tail instead of using their limbs.

For me, there's one thing I want more than anything else: more Classes.

My biggest dream is a Dwemer Artificer. It's excellently lore-appropriate, it has several NPCs that could easily be retconned into being Artificers (Tharayya, Neramo, the Vanos twins), and it falls easily into three skill lines:
    • Animunculi (temporary- and permanent pets)
    • Gadgetry (traps and grenades)
    • Tonal Magic (your typical D&D Bard stuff)
It'd also be a great way to tease more Dwemer lore... without answering anything. And we've seen that using Dwemer tech is in TES canon (there is a Sphere summon spell in Morrowind with the book "Secrets of Dwemer Animunculi," you need to use Kagrenac's tools in the main quest, and we also have Arniel Gane in Skyrim who's researching them)

I totally have a full concept of an Artificer class with all morphs planned out.
    Secrets of Dwemer Animunculi
    • Summon Spider (a permanent Spider centurion pet that does a melee attack). Morphs to have a stronger electric attack, or you can activate it again to put it into a charging state where it heals and empowers all constructs nearby for a time
    • Summon Jumping Spider (a temporary pet that acts like a Blastbones). Morphs to jump more times before exploding or to debuff enemies hit
    • Summon Sphere Centurion (a permanent Sphere centurion pet that has a crossbow ranged attack). Morphs to become an Arquebus with a lightning ranged attack or changes to a melee slash and can be activated to turtle up and heal itself
    • Summon Sentry (a temporary pet that stays in place and absorbs 50% of damage to allies in range). Morphs to have higher health or to release stored damage as a lightning attack
    • Dwemervamidium Armor (an armor summon like the memento that counts you as a construct while active). Morphs to return some damage like the Radiant Bastion set or apply a DoT around the caster
Ultimate: Summon Centurion (a temporary pet that slams down like the Sorc Storm Atro and then starts spinning its blades). Morphs to follow a target while spinning or to stay stationary and just fire lightning blasts all over - see the blue and red Centurions in Volenfell.

    Tools of Kagrenac
    • Jolt (a melee lightning spammable). Morphs to allow the lightning to jump to three other close enemies, or adds a cast time to make it a conal steam blast with knockback
    • Grenade (a ground-targeted throwable grenade with physical damage). Morphs to do fire damage and leave a ground DoT or applies Hemorrhage and a sticky bleed on enemies hit.
    • Blade Trap (a placeable trap that takes a bit to arm like the FG Barbed trap skill. Spins and does heavy damage in the area). Morphs to be placeable at range or to apply a snare to enemies inside.
    • Colossus Arms (a melee conal buzzsaw). Morphs to snare or to become a conal fire blast, both like the Colossus arms attacks
    • Conduit (a three part attack to set two pylons and then a third activation to spark a lightning bolt between them). Morphs to snare enemies inside or to do much higher damage instantly, but then the pylons need to be reset
Ultimate: Dwemer Ballista (spawns a ballista that functions as it does in PvP. It has 3 shots under perfect conditions, but it and you can be attacked). Morphs to guard you while using it or to double the time it's active.

    Tonal Architecture
    • Resonance (an AoE heal like vigor, but a burst heal). Morphs to have a HoT or to add a buff to allies
    • Prism (a ground-targeted totem that heals in range). Morphs add buffs to allies or to debuff enemies.
    • Harpy Song (an AoE damage spammable). Morphs to fear enemies or charm enemies from a larger radius.
    • Animus (essentially the Necro skill Bitter Harvest)
    • Tonal Connection (connects to an ally with a beam to buff everyone in the beam's path). Morphs to add a HoT or to distribute damage taken to all members
Ultimate: Apotheosis (freezes you and puts your character into an undamageable state for 2 secs. 1 second after activation, it will resurrect nearby allies and buff them. After 2 seconds, your character dies). Morphs to not kill you completely but not give allies as much of a buff, or to give you 5 seconds of inaction before your character dies.

Otherwise, I think it'd be cool to have new classes to bring in some of the NPC-only attack animations and also touch on other lore. I also have an idea for a Celestial-themed one where each of the class skill lines is based on the Guardian constellations (Warrior, Mage, Thief), and then each skill line has attacks themed after the signs in those lines.

Another one that would be cool - Classes that are designed to counter each other in PvP. Imagine if they made twin classes (so they had basically the same animations), but one was like a 'light' version and the other a 'dark' version, and they were focused around their ability in PvP.

Finally, one I'd love to see: a joke class. Literally something that's purposefully underpowered and they sell it during Jester's Fest as the "Pay to lose" class. I imagine that people would try to set up trifecta runs with an underpowered joke class just to say they could lol.

Necromancers more or less fill this niche. 😬

The armory to store armor. It will make it easy to find the new gear you pick up. Also an opton to show our noncombat pets or mounts names. I have one dog that is a golden retriever based. I named her after my late dog Libby. It be nice to find out & learn of people whom named them after their actual pets. This could bring the community together even more.rlz43trg8zu4.jpg

    Hell yes! Begging thread!
    My basic human needs:
    1. Polymorph Upgrades
      • Primer: new races are unlikely, but polymorphs add a simple solution that all the cosmetic changes we want, with none of the balance and lore issues.
      • Current issues: Lack of customization. Running around as a sprigan is fun, but it can get kind of dull when you can't participate in most transmog.
      • Solution 1: allow basic humanoid polymorphs to wear armor such as the skeleton and maelstrom baron, for polymorhs that have armor already, separate them into base polymorph and a costume.
      • Solution 2: stop releasing recolors of spriggans and just give them their own menu at the outfit station to recolor, sure it's an easy cash grab for ZoS, but they can open things up to selling new cosmetic effects for these more oddly shaped polymorphs, like replacements for the leaf effect. Also the ability to apply skins would encourage more people to buy the less humanoid looking skins to apply to less humanoid looking polymorphs, like atronachs, factotums and spriggans.
      • Conclusion: please, it would open up roleplay and character options.
    2. Memento upgrades
      • Primer: this is a short one. Frankly, many mementos don't last nearly long enough. Most feel like they're mis-categorized and/or underutilized.
      • Example 1: Almalexia's Enchanted Lantern, ~28 seconds, and of course we can't use any other moment while one is active, this is a usable item that creates a functional cosmetic effect, it should be permanent and should not lock you out of other mementos.
      • Example 2: Blackfeather Court Whistle, this is an item that only applies to dead enemies, heavily combat relevant, takes up a whole quick slot and again keeps us waiting for around the same time as the last.
      • Solution 1: a new bar in the memento/character screen where we slot certain types of mementos; an item /style slot for continuous effects that should remain off until no longer desired(such as the lantern), a finisher slot that randomly procs the chosen memento (such as the whistle), and potentially a slot tied to each ultimate slot that can activate mementos like the Daedroth Illusion Gem.
      • Solution 2: Many other mementos should be categorized as emotes with no timer of course (Fire-Breather's Torches), some mementos are basically skins and should be ashamed of their cool-downs (Wild Hunt Transform), mementos that place intractable objects or directly interact with other players should remain largely the same (but with the ability to last longer and have a more forgiving cool down.
    3. Staves
I have beef here, but I'm too lazy to format this, generally though staves need to be agnostic, no fire/ice/lightning/holy. One staff. One big skill tree including all of the above plus others like like arcanist's runeblades as inherent basic attacks (fireball/ice ball/lightning beam/holy beam), these are not slotted, they are applied at an enchanting table (or something) to determine your basic attacks. Maybe the staves deal magic damage until you apply a basic attack.

Great suggestions, y'all! Keep 'em coming!

Here are a few other big wishes that I forgot earlier:

-Sotha Sil NPC present somewhere in the world after completing the Clockwork City quests, like in the Clockwork Basilica, his memorial garden, or his chambers in Ceporah Tower in Artaeum... I don't care where, I just really want to be able to find him again

-Dyes should look more consistent when applied to different style motifs... the same dye should never clash with itself when applied to 2 different motifs or pieces of armor. There are so many cool looking sets of armour in the game that I can't ever wear with anything because they just don't dye properly. Some random colors appear much lighter, or shinier, or more or less saturated, making it impossible to get it to match with other things. There should also not be any undyeable areas on any clothing that can be dyed. I don't mean like special weapon styles that can't be dyed at all, like replica Daedric artifacts, I mean when certain areas aren't assigned to any of the three dye slots and can't be recolored

-Weapon swap and draw/sheath weapons options in the Characters menu

-Option to hide the glowing shield when blocking

-Levitation or flying carpets in player houses

1-guild trader filter colledted/not collected for gear sticker book. Known/unknown for motifs, furniture recipes, provision recipes.

2- transmutation crystals turned into a crafting material (so would still be ESO+ perk for craftbag).

3- achievement points - use a a reward structure, Every 1000 achievement points unlocks something. Would be an amazing system to keep all players playing longer imo... Maybe every 1000 unlocks something small like momento, dye, style, pet, etc . Every 5000 unlocks something bigger like a mount or skin. And every 10,000 point marker unlocks something epic like a innate passive ability.

I think it might break the game if we could travel directly to dolmens... but if you don't like long walks while level grinding, try dolmen farming in the Alik'r Desert! All three of them are really easy to get to from nearby wayshrines.

I think the Better Guild Store addon takes care of #1, though it would be nice if they'd make more features from that part of the official game. What good would making transmute crystals a material? Aren't they already a currency that takes up no inventory space? They already added something like #3 for levelling... it would be nice if that continued after max level with champion or skill points...

Hey hey, Zenimax! I dunno if y'all saw my request for the Trueflame style page to come back, or of that had any effect on it being in the upcoming Pan-Tamriel Celebration, or if it's just an amazingly timed coincidence, but either way, thank yooooooou!!!

One a related side note, I adore all of the Nerevar references in the game, though I do wish the Doctrine Ordinator helmet looked more like his antiquity statue. Maybe that could be a Nerevar or Nerevarine motif page? That would be the coolest thing ever to go with Kagrenac's Tools weapon and gauntlet style pages... (and if y'all ever do give us Wraithguard replicas, can it be on both hands, instead of just one, please? While it would be hilarious if one of the hands looks like a Daedric gauntlet, that would drive me nuts lol)

Mirri likes to visit him no?

Like seriously on the dyes, it's hecking frustrating when you have the perfect shade and then can't find a single unlocked color that can match it.

Yes please, it breaks the aesthetic of so many transmogs and polymorphs. maybe they can sell customized actions for block, I'd kill for like a wall of falling leaves!

    More Requests for ZOS:
    1. Dungeon Companions
      • Proposal: Dungeons can stand to be more solo accessible and many dungeons have (often recurring) NPC guides that help tell the story. ZOS should convert these characters into companions.
      • Implementation: a companion - let's say Gwedis in both Stone Garden and Castle Thorn - will automatically join the party if there are less than 4 slots already filled, she'd have her own move sets as with any other companion but can't be modified beyond choosing a preset spec. If she were reused in a few other dungeons perhaps a meta achievement related to doing those dungeons with her and hitting some extrenous goals could unlock her as a full companion.
    2. Playable Companions
Just let me hit a key and play as Ember like in KOTOR 😭
    3. Achievement and Endeavor Tracker
      • Proposal: Add a tracker for achievements and endeavors just like the new golden pursuit tracker. This just feels like a no brainer, I find it really frustrating going through the menu over and over again to check what I have to do for each achievement unlockable.
    4. Emergent Event Refresh
      • Proposal: Replace anchors in vanilla zones with some of the newer emergent events (don't touch the anchors in Al'kir, I'll get crucified if those are harmed).
      • Example: The Rift and East March can gain a few harrowstorms or costal zones can receive some abysal geysers. Dragons in Vvardenfel? Yes please!
      • Concern: obviously there's those who don't want their favorite areas to be touched, but I think the changes are mostly cosmetic and either Anchors can be scaled up with increased rewards to have a more consistent function, or any thing used to replace an anchor can be dumbed down to fit the current experience with a new flavor.
      • Benefit: in addition to obviously bringing some variety, it makes regional events that happen in yearly content feel more organic, why would there be no harrowstorms in nearby areas? It also allows a potential slow end to the planemeld, each new emergent event in the game can slowly replace the dolmens naturally as the sites could be seen as prime territory for the new bad to set up their current scheme. And lastly it could also be tied to events with minimal effort, Dagon may attempt to invade Morrowind during the Tribunal celebration, utilizing the same basic format from Blackwood ZOS could plop down portals, make a new simple map and a new boss. Or maybe during the season of the dragon we might hunt them all across the map.
    5. Complete Assistant Sets
There's a trend in making assistants in a set theme; humans, crows, alqif, factotums, daedra, dogs. But the only complete sets are humans and daedra. Personally I just want my crow set, so give be a crow armory assistant and a crow deconstructor. But I would like to see complete sets for the others too.

And a side note, why can't we have our assistants out at the same time as companions? Is the infrastructure for the game that bad? I want my four crows flying safely behind me while me and Sharp-as-Night beat down the baddies.

    Harvestable Gardening for our houses

This one's my biggest wish- I would love the ability to 'plant' some alchemy ingredients/foods in my house, and tend a garden to reap a reward of a crop. I don't think it needs to be a large reward, but I think it would give me purpose to log into my house every day to care for my garden. It would also bring the aesthetic of my outdoor area alive more, instead of fake plants I could have real ones, with planters that have soil. And indoor plants, as well!

    Story Mode Trials (and Dungeons)

I'm lucky that I can duo dungeons with my partner, and we can read the story and explore as slow as we like- on a new release, this can take hours for new dungeons with side bosses and lots of dialogue. This luxury isn't possible in trials, where there's too much pressure for us to manage the content. I'd love to see story instances (with no rewards, no group requirements, and no time limits), for players that can't duo/solo a DLC dungeon, and for those trial instances. I want to see the story in these instances as it relates to the content; in the last few years, the dungeon content has really enriched my experience of the chapters, and I can't help but feel I'm missing out on the trial story.

    Water Walking Spells

Probably the least feasible, water walking would make exploring the world so much more fun. I wouldn't mind if there was ways this was managed- disabled in Cyro, still die to slaughterfish obviously, can't sprint while casting, a channel instead of cast, or whatever else helps it be only a pure roleplay/exploration spell with no impact on combat. I loved using this spell (and others like Mark and Recall, or ALMSIVI/Divine Intervention) in Morrowind, and I really think it would bring fun to the game.

    My wish list

I think the Better Guild Store addon takes care of #1, though it would be nice if they'd make more features from that part of the official game. What good would making transmute crystals a material? Aren't they already a currency that takes up no inventory space? They already added something like #3 for levelling... it would be nice if that continued after max level with champion or skill points...

    #1 - I'm on console
#2 - 500 cap, 1000 if eso plus BUT geodes take up inventory space
#3 - game needs better rewards anyways, tied to achievement points would promote long term play and something for long term players to strive towards
