As the saying goes, the jack of all trades is a master of none.
Vanilla ice cream is awesome, but a vanilla video game that's just like everything else out there is not.
For Devs' consideration: Nowadays I see many games implementing characters, mounts and other stuff from different IPs/Universes, and even on this forum players request such things some times; this poll is meant to show how the playerbase feels about this.
Personally I am strongly against, but I know over time things change; the whole ESO population could change over the next 10 years. My hope is for Tamriel to remain Tamriel: I want to recognize Tamriel, not other worlds in ESO.
Players, let your voice be heard!

Would people be upset if TES VI added a card game because ESO did it first, or is it only okay for the other TES games to introduce new features? When was the last time we received a new TES game, again?
We didn't always have housing in TES games, nor did we always have followers/Companions. ESO adopted many of those features introduced by older TES games while introducing some of its own — now we can expect future TES games to adopt features from ESO. That's how a franchise evolves over time; ESO is canon, and it is a legitimate entry in the Elder Scrolls franchise.

The ESO tracks are definitely way too epic for background tracks, Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim do the ambient tracks way better in that regard. I actually keep ESO music muted and often play the other game soundtracks in the background instead. Murkmire music is great though.
I'm going to reply to you with the assumption that you are talking about the combat soundtrack. I have to say the soundtrack in ESO is perfectly fine as is; they reflect the intense and fast-paced combat system which is a trait that the older single-player games lacked.
The combat in the previous Elder Scrolls games are extremely rudimentary and looks especially boring in first person. You are just clicking and watching a sword move from one side of the screen to the other whilst your opponent does the same. In that scenario, you don't need flared, swelling, and dramatic soundtracks. A little flare is good, but too much looks out of place.
As the combat system evolved, the music did as well. You can see this even in games like Dark Souls. Dark Souls I had a dynamic but slow combat system and so the boss music was contained but exciting, with the exception of bosses like Seathe or the Four Kings which where more faster.
Then you get to Elden Ring, faster in every aspect, more fleshed out combat mechanics, and enemies vary in movement and attack speed. Thus, the music changed in response becoming more faster.
ESO's combat soundtrack fits the new combat system while still retaining some elements from the old games in it's ambient background soundtrack. It works brilliantly, seriously. Try fighting Angof the Gravesinger, Molag Kena, or even another player with some of the Skyrim combat tracks playing and it feels... out of place. However, add in "All History is Vengeance" or "From Abysses Below and Beyond" and it sounds fitting.
I think something like IA lends itself to the possibility of crossover with other IPs. We're about to get to fight The Nameless King from DSIII in an Elden Ring game. I'd love to get to the cycle boss and have The Nameless King or Ganondorf show up. Outside of IA, probably not.

I can't see the harm of this thread or why it should stop going. It's made to show devs what the playerbase thinks, and over time results of the poll could change. Aside from my personal opinion, is always good to gather these kind of informations; whatever the results are, they are always useful.
I started this because FF14 is a strong competitor of ESO and it adds a ton of crossovers with other Square titles, and its playerbase spends tons of money to get those items.
ESO Devs/marketing/whoever could see this and think it would be good for ESO to do the same.
If you are not seeing this happening, you are willingly blind. Other games already do this, not just "Fortnite".
WHY OPPOSE TO THIS THREAD? Is beyond me...
Just express your opinion on the matter like anyone has their right. Why wanting to close the conversation?

Why? Because I think it’s an asinine question, and the idea of pop culture crossovers a la Fortnite in this game would be incredibly silly. It wouldn’t keep with the theme, and it’s gratifying to see that most people seem to regard this as a nonstarter and not in keeping with the setting, etc.

Agree in appreciating how the poll results are for now, but I specify that I wasn't thinking of general pop cultures crossovers when I made this thread. I was thinking more about Bethesda IPs or, since right now it's all Microsoft, Xbox IPs.
Someone said they would enjoy a crossover with something like The Witcher because the theme is fitting - Fable (Microsoft as ESO) is somewhat on the spectrum of Elder Scrolls, so I could see in the future some Easter Egg or crossover...
I was referring more to things like these... Obviously not to Marvel characters or such things, hopefully...

Uh. I don't play "other games". So I'd never know what the crossover crap was anyway....

broadening the spectrum of playing prevents boredom with a single game or too much attachment to it to the point of blocking good change

Because I'm perfectly happy in TES, and looking at other games just makes me go "ewww no thanks". I'm never bored.... not one day in my entire 77 years of life.
TES is my "home universe" - has been since Arena released in 1994. That'll never change - if overland gets to be too hard after the changes, I'll just go back to Skyrim and Oblivion.... and TES VI IF they ever bother to finish it.
