Go in game, use a BSmith station and have a look at the preview, while not ideal you can see they are both pretty shorter than Imperial
getting the motifs well that's another matter...

Indeed it certainly does look better, I will do my best to acquire the motifs and will post a photo for you when I can. Thank you greatly for your help my friend!
I would recommend you change your mind about what looks cool instead of attempting some strange quest to adopt the misconceptions put forth by Hollywood wussys who would drop their blade with a broken wrist after 5 seconds fighting a proper swordsman. Just my 2¢ as a gamer and a fighter.
But your idea of cool is a regurgitation of limp wristed hollywood fluff where as what is already in game is 1500 years of real life decapitating coolness.
Vaerth, you are basing your ideal of a 2 handed sword on Hollywood imagery that is not realistic. Having trained with and used real swords, I can tell you ESO gets it exactly right! The grip animation and handle size is absolutely perfect to real life sword techniques.
In real life your top hand is on the top of the handle, your bottom hand is on the pommel (palm-el, get it?) this is exactly how its shown in ESO, true to real life.
In Hollywood they hold small handeled swords with their hands together like a baseball bat because they are actors/models striking a pose with no Fing clue how to use a sword.
One of the first things I noticed at level 2 playing was this is the first MMO to ever get that right. Its simply awesome.

If you swung a greatsword like a baseball bat swing a real fighter would step out of reach, let you miss, then step in and kill you while youre off balance from whiffing with 5 lbs of steel.
Wow, really? That makes me feel a lot better about the Imperial Edition actually.Yea you can do the conversion on any character, but it makes the item account bound (so you can only do it for yourself, can't give other people imperial gear unless you craft it on an imperial character or have the motif learned).

It's a video game. In a fantasy world. With magic.
We want to look cool.
A month later and I never found a two handed weapon that I liked. That sucks. Guess I will cancel my sub until the game gets more weapon types.

That's your deal-breaker? That the game uses more realistic weapon models? Weapons that big are made of metal, and typically very heavy. Having a hilt just big enough for the hands would probably get you broken wrists. The longer hilt is needed so that you can have leverage to control the weapon vs just swinging and letting momentum have control.
But seriously... That is the silliest "I quit" reason I have ever seen. In any game.
