I wish we could buy an empty plot to build our own castle.

These would be great structural pieces:

Castle wall with door, including the two towers to either side.
    bphgrlx6vsvk.png

Castle tower with stairs inside leading up to a room on the top floor. It would have entries to different floor levels like Pantherfang Chapel towers with stairs.
    6mdl55gg8ctm.png

Basically, all of the outside majestic pieces that came together to make Castle Skingrad.

I do not wish to buy a pre-built structure. I want the enormous castle pieces to build my own castle with my layout design inside.

The most important part is to have windows that can look outside. Transparent windows for structural pieces, please. Or BIG windows that open and close like doors.

Colovian gazebo is nice. Love the interior ceiling. A large rectangular roof structure with that style of wood ceiling would be perfect.

Dawnwood fences need fixing. The large parts of flattened 2D branches and leaves make ESO look outdated compared to other MMOs.

One of my rp guilds is beyond excited about all the new Ayleid furnishings. They used the blobby lil icons from some preview or something to go find the examples on the main game yesterday. Today they are exploring the PTS, checking the new pristine craftable versions, and gushing over them. It's not really my style, but they are thrilled.

Pretty please make this window in a floor to ceiling version. On a stone wall.
    • The height of the wall should match the existing Colovian castle walls.
    • The width of the wall should end just on either side of the window. This way, we can place several of these windows close to one another.
Again, no glass. Keep the black metal pattern, but remove the glass so we can see outside.

Edit: Making sure devs understand I am asking for a modular structural furnishing. Not for the windows that are part of already existing buildings to be changed.

What are your general thoughts on the new houses (Shattered Mirror Isle & Castle Skingrad)?

Castle Skingrad- This house is massive and have a ton of rooms. More than I think players need. There is not much building to do in that location though. Which limits Creativity.

Shattered Mirror Isle- Looks absolutely Gorgeous. There is plenty of open space that players can use to do their own build that would take advantage of unique environment.

What do you think of the new furnishings?

Think they look pretty good. No complains.

What do you think of the new weather control furnishing, Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?

The weather is awesome and every house should have weather control. It will just add to the creativity housing builds. Especially for RP communities.

Did you run into any issues using Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control?

    No

    As for my general feedback

    1) Can we get the option to remove the buildings comes with the location? The environment in some home locations are beautiful, but its hard to create our own home designs when most of the space is occupied. My two favorite house and are Coldharbour Surreal Estate and Moon-Sugar Meadow. I love these homes because they are open and i have a lot of space to work with in build some new and unique.

    2) Can we get the ability to resize items? I understand giving us more furnishing slots is not easy and probably wont happen. However, maybe the ability to double or triple the size of housing items could at least allow for bigger builds.

    3) Furnishing items from leads. The lead drops from treasure maps is extremely frustrating. It's RNG to acquire treasure maps. The lead drops are also RNG. And to get the ability to purchase the scribed furnishing item from the vender, requires finding all the leads 3 times. I think its too much and discourages players from trying to attain the furnishing item.

    4) Can deconstruct crafted housing items please? That ability will make housing more affordable and accessible. There is a reason players say housing is the true end game. Housing is not accessible to new players and I wish this community and aspect of the game will get more players. Even if another skill line is needed.

    5) Can we get these things as housing items please?

That castle, would get it even if it was 21k (Hopefully it is not that)

It is going to be an absolute nightmare for anyone to furnish given it looks to be even larger than Pantherfang Chapel which is an already extremely large castle home

You probably figured it out or someone told you, but, it's kind of nonchalantly mentioned in the patch notes:

The new weather control furnishing, Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control, can be tested on PTS by collecting it from the “The Homeowner’s Crate” in the “Fallen Banners Reward Furnishing Crate” which you collect from a PTS template character.

I was only able to place it from the collectables tab. It only seems to have 4 settings, but, it is something many asked for and better than a poke in the nose with a sharp stick. Also, something not just for console users this time.

I'll use it in my mega collection of private houses. It would have been fun when I still had open houses.

I haven't tried every house but I only see rain in Tamriel proper houses...like in Glenumbria or Reapers March. I didn't see any rain/stormy effect in any otherworld home like Psijic Villa, Shadow Queen, or new Shattered Mirror homes.

really happy to see the new ayleid structural furnishings. I love the old rougher look pieces vs some of the smoother stuff we got during Gold Road. The dawnwood structures are wonderful as well. And the redguard boat <3<3

Also just want to add that, even though I prefer to keep them hidden, I really like how the devs are integrating the furnishings for the time, weather etc changes in ways that make sense with the connection to the particular deities

Still no roofs, stone ceilings zzz or castle bits (ramparts, gates etc). Be nice to get a colovian stone staircase and the brown tile colovian floor.
The Colovian gazebo is nice, but I’d prefer the small square watch tower ones on the outskirts of skingrad vineyards.

Disclaimer: I do not have PTS, and my information is second-hand, and my post concerns only one part of the feedback request: weather control.

To the point: I heard through the grapevine that weather control will not apply to all basic houses (notably, Hunding's and similar desert environment; probably because the place only comes with one kind of weather to begin with, and thus does not have different weather conditions that could easily be made rotatable). This is understandable from a technical point of view, but personally I have to say I am really disappointed nonetheless.

I feel this clips the wings of the feature altogether. I need weather control less to control what the weather is at any one given time, and more to transform houses fully to suit my builds. I was not expecting to get weather control for houses like Doomchar or Psijic villa or Shalidor's – anywhere outside of Tamriel, basically – and I think that's well enough justified. But without the ability to control the weather of all the most basic vanilla houses, and yes, make it rain in the desert, the feature feels incomplete.

Pardon the salt. I greatly appreciate that this feature is being added in the first place – it has been my single greatest housing wish, and that is also why I am now a bit upset to see that it will not achieve the one thing I had hoped it would.

No idea why, or if it might be an issue that will be fixed in some upcoming revision (doubt it), but I could not get the weather control to do anything in Hundings.

I don't see it in the new features of the U45... But I would have liked the Colovian throne to be added, at least as an exclusivity of Castle Skingrad... The simple Colovian armchair in the throne room is weird..

I also find the absence of colovian desks (noble and green) quite problematic.

I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if the weather changing furnishing has any effect on the loud volcano noise in Ebonheart Chateau.

I have decorated this house as a Dark Brotherhood Training Compound and would love to move my Dark Brotherhood character in, but I can't stand the constant loud volcano noises.

(I know I can turn down some sounds but I don't want to mute them in all my houses or out in the world. Just this very loud and abrasive sound.)

So cool to make castle Skingrad a player home, even though it breakes a bit with the story (where does the actual count live?).
What is a bit wasteful in my opinion is that you don't get the view over the city and the guards here by default.
    6q4qtey00r46.png
I would probably make this part of the courtyard a bit higher and give it the same type of wall as on the other side.

Colovian Gazebo looks amazing. Hope you can buy the plan from Rollis Hlaalu.

The shortcut from the bedroom to the cellar seems a bit bugged, a least I had trouble entering from some angle.

Because Hunding's doesn't support weather control, near as I know :( it only has one kind of weather: sun. Even if it did, like Twin arches and Sword singer, the weather there would be "sandstorm or no", apparently, because the weather control seems to cycle through the weather conditions that normally appear in a house, not add any new ones.

Furnishing management tools. Search tool for everything.

More doors that can open and shut. Windows that can be opened and shut.

Allow house guests to sit. All these nice chairs and benches but Mirri can't sit on any of them... She's tired and has a leg cramp, ;-)

The new “ayleid wall, thin” is slightly curved and I don’t understand why. Its curve doesn’t match any platform or any other furniture. Is there a reason for this? To me, it feels like it will be difficult to use as it is. IMHO it should be either straight, or much curved (to fit the new round platform for example).

I really like the new furnishings and the weather control thingy. Been waiting for these for ages.
However, I am not really excited about super giant houses. In my opinion it's pointless to buy houses this big when you can't properly furnish them with the current slot limitations. They require at least 2000 slots, not 700.

I also support the idea of giving us more Summerset style architectural elements and roof pieces. They are really pretty and people could do a lot of interesting builds with them.

And... Well, I feel like it's pointless at this point, but please give us weapons and musical instruments as furnishings. I don't really get why ZOS is so against it. Perhaps they don't want people to "stab" npc houseguests or something? But we already have things like burned remains and torture devices.

There is a significant bump in quality of these newer furnishings, in all categories. Congratulations to the teams involved!
I am following the housing game since the beginning, and it seems this year is the most promising at least for housing.

I am glad to see so many versatile structural furnishings, also quite large, which can be used to build large projects, or can save a lot of slots. I am also a big fan of structural furnishings with openings, like gratings or openings. Can't wait for walls that have a round opening. I hope the team has plans to revisit the old styles with the retexturing process. Many people wish for the Summerset delicate structural furnishings. I am hoping to see Dwemer (dark themed) structural furnishings.

I totally love the jubilee themed furnishings. You can see that most of them are not retextures, but new creations. Great news!

Regarding the new houses, while I appreciate the effort made, I think it is time for a new empty flat terrain place for housing. There are more and more structural furnishings added, and we could build our own castles/buildings etc. Ah, and I find the recent castles, the Gonfalon Bay and Skingrad houses, to be confusing to navigate through. I appreciate the castle is a recreation of the one from TES4, but it still has to be practical and fun to navigate/use.

Something that is particularly important for me in setting a main house is how close the wayshrine is. I love the Bandari Jungle House just for that. Couldn't we have a wayshrine furnishing inside the house?

I hope you don't forget about armor mannequins and weapon racks. Hopefully we will see a retexture of the old assets, like Breton.

Why aren´t there more colovian furnishings? I wanted to do a colovia themed house but there are way less than leyawiin for example.
The new houses are way too big again with the existing furnishing limits, its a joke that they weren´t raised already. There´s no way to furnish the house itself and the outside areas properly so why even bother buying the houses

Came to this thread to say the same thing.

They gave us the canopied Colovian bed thankfully (I assume they realised that the castle bedroom needed something more than just the single bed) so that's something, but I was really hoping for this chair variant and for the noble desk. The chair in particular would have seen use in a lot of my homes, even where I'm not otherwise using Colovian furniture. Desks in particular have been strangely missing from furnishing styles over the last few years which has been really disappointing as to me they're an essential component of a complete furnishing style set. There's also a small cushioned display podium in the Colovian style that we can see throughout West Weald that I would have really liked to be usable in our homes.

The Mirror Moor style Fargrave house is fabulous too.

I like the other players idea above about window furniture.
