[SOLVED] ESO, ETA on SLI? [ETA Patch 1.1]

Crossfire too, but it made the title less funny.

Putting aside all the misinformation from the well-intentioned yet poorly-informed, what's the ETA on getting a real fullscreen mode for this game? I see rumors that it's in the works, is that true? There are some hacks for forcing a fullscreen mode achieving various degrees of success, but I'd like to know this AAA title in 2014 is going to officially support it at some point.

Since no one else bothered to give you an answer to the question without angry mentioning some patch notes wich are hard to find if you dont know where to look, here you go. ;o)

NVidia said before the release that they are waiting for ESO to make the game ready for SLI, what this means is that ESO doesnt have true fullscreen yet.
But in patch 1.1 we will get true fullscreen wich opens up for NVidia to create a profile for ESO, and shadowplay will work aswell by then.

True fullscreen also opens up for AMD to create a CF-profile for ESO.

Yeah sorry between the French and German posts I didn't see anything about patch 1.1, this forum is kind of an adventure. I suppose in theory I could learn rudimentary French and/or German by reading all of it side by side...

A soft date is cool, I wonder why they don't sticky it in the Tech forum or something, since that seems to be where people discuss the lack of fullscreen most often. Thanks for the info, Patrick. Thanks for nothing, Cory Evans. lrn2post information you claim to have.

Just a quick note, but Shadowplay does now work with ESO as of GeForce Experience 2.0 which supports desktop recording

. V1.1 for ESO is when SLI support is slated to work properly, however.

1.1.1 is on PTS now and supports true full screen. No SLI support though. There is no ETA for 1.1.x release.

Zenimax doesn't make SLI profiles, Nvidia does. The only thing Zenimax has to do is enable a true exclusive full screen mode (which they did). The ball is in Nvidia's court now.

SLI is not working.

Yes, Nvidia does SLI profile, but it's developer/SH that has to give them all the code to make it work.

At the moment, my main system has a couple of 7970s in Crossfire. Performance has been weirdly irregular: usually there's a clear performance gain over 1.0.x, but sometimes it absolutely tanks.

One thing the client is NOT doing well is relinquishing and regaining exclusive mode. If I tab out, when I come back to the client it sometimes blackscreens and needs to be force-closed; more often, it just seems to lose the Crossfire gains (which I'm guessing means it doesn't take back exclusive fullscreen, or doesn't tell the system it has); and every now and then FPS drops from, say, 70 to 20, just from tabbing out and back in. And stays lousy until I restart the client completely.

I'm not sure where or how to report this well since the /bug report form doesn't really seem to cover it.

I have noticed ESO seems to use less RAM in the Task Manager (Windoze 7). Lag in cities seems to be less but they still take forever to fully load. This could be due to other optimizations and not necessarily the better use of Crossfire. Now I hope to see new drivers from AMD to make TESO better.
