Hello,
When I see the glowing tomeshells, I run up to them...then what? I run thru them, i try to attack etc.. but how do I complete it?
Oddly I have finished a few, and never know how I did it...

Seriously, I'm curious, too. And I'd like to add that I'd prefer ZOS to add some little hint box with things like this. I understand that they don't give hints when it comes to riddles (that's totally fine for me, figuring things out is the main aspect of a riddle, after all), but if the task is clear and the main question is what key to hit... They could give us that info. Especially if there's a time limit somehow.@Syldras | PC | EU

✭✭You get a new ability bar. The first ability is the one you want to use to kill the tomeshells. Either use one of the portals to just explore and learn the abilities on the bar, or watch some videos on them. Skill 4 is a paralyze, which is useful for the humanoid things that chase you. Skill 5 is also useful to protect from those. Cast it on cooldown as you move to place a snare behind you. Skill 3 is a small temporary speed boost. Skill 2 is what you use to locate the tomeshells.4 -

✭✭✭✭✭Cast 2 to locate tomeshells.
As you approach a tomeshell, cast 1 (it doesn't do damage immediately, so I usually cast it shortly before I reach a tomeshell)
Cast 3 to go fast.
Cast 5 to drop stuff behind you that will slow and eventually kill any enemies chasing you.
4 is your panic button if an enemy chasing you catches up to you (shouldn't happen if you keep moving and use 5 liberally).Nightfighters ― PC/NA and PC/EU

✭So I too had *alot* of trouble with this. There's another thread out there, dedicated to Filer issues I think, where they talk about the problems with this side portal and ways of dealing with it.

method__01✭✭✭✭✭I've soloed all 5 secret locations and Filer Wing was the harder for me ,at stage 5 took me many days to complete and first time achievement didn't pop up so i had to repeat......trick is to move to outside corridors as possible and spray the ink behind you all times ,didn't use the speed at all cause these black holes appear behind turns and its instant death
with 2 players its so much easier cause you can revive and keep onPC EU/NA /// PS4 EU/NA

Not sure if it's one of my addons interfering, but that new bar doesn't visually show up for even a moment, so how would I know I have it? If it's not an addon issue, ZOS should change that.@Syldras | PC | EU

Do you have your Settings > Combat set to not show the ability bar outside of combat? I would check that. Make sure it is set to show Always.1 -

That's probably the issue, thank you.
ZOS could at least have it light up for a few seconds when new abilities are added or something changes, like in this situation (it doesn't, I can say that for sure). If different visibility options are given to the player in the settings, they can't rely that every player choses the option "show always".
I know some people like to have as much buttons and stats and whatnot on their screen when playing, adding even more through addons, but I can't be the only one who wants as little as possible obscuring my view?@Syldras | PC | EU

✭✭✭I have trouble with this one and am stuck on level 3 or something.
With controller, it is not easy to remember what those buttons do and which ones they are. I am used to my regular skills so I don’t think about which is button 1, button 2, etc.
I just spam them while trying not to run into anything. I have made no progress in a long time. I think this is the only side room I have left.
