I believe that the game should be things that are not available to everyone, so that there was no such thing that thing appeared and then it was all, let it get the most persistent!

Treasure Maps (along with Surveys for that matter) need to be marked on the map in the core game, so that is accurate for console.

The addon is one of the few things that makes them worth gathering.

Finishing all the codex is for people who like to go crazy. Unfortunately, I am one of those. Finishing the codex of the DLC areas is crazy...

I'm down to a handful of leads needed to complete my codex, with 2 leads for my second Apocyrphal Well (and 3 for the third...), and of course the DSA lead being among the last. It's beyond ridiculous that some leads drop like candy over and over and over and over again with little to no effort, and then others are like winning the lottery. Either ZoS intentially did this for some unfathomable reason, or someone fat-fingered a drop rate. What irks me the most is that there has been plenty of feedback regarding some of the drop rates that has been completely ignored. Either way, the frustration is enough to push me away from spending as much time in ESO, so my backlog is getting a bit of love instead. I play games to have fun, not be frustrated by poor drop implementations.

it also doesnt help when the 2nd and 3rd leads are also seemingly much lower drop rates, especially the 2nd lead codex drop of the lead lol

I have done thousands and not gotten once since the first set of leads dropped. They only took a few the first time around, but it has been thousands since.

That is absolutely appalling. I don’t think non-tradeable leads should have been put in treasure chests to begin with (no leads are tradeable, but at least the motifs are), and this droprate is absolutely appalling. What is the point?

BTW I brought this up over a year ago and tagged ESO team members. There was never an acknowledgement at any point. They know, and they don't care. They just do not give a crap that most people who want it will never have this furnishing ever. They are perfectly willing to let this furnishing just fall by the wayside.

Like I can't imagine it was free for them to code this into the game.

I was looking through my old posts on it and I recall that ZoS claimed it was part of a bug involving necrom leads not dropping. A thing they supposedly fixed a year ago. Well it ain't fixed.

Ring of stone FINALLY after I would say around 3200 maps. I will say that the vast majority of that I had the treasure hunter perk on but out of sheer curiosity I took it off for the last 60 or so maps. I can't say if it helped or not, but I will no longer be farming the leads with it on myself because I am superstitious that way. Can I get a confirmation that for those with the perk it only took a hundred or so?
