doing the daily quest every day with multiple characters is useful.

in update 43 there's a new daily quest for killing Marauders or Fables which helps you gain more per day.

@IlISupaIlI Honestly, I think the quickest way is being good and having a good partner. Can't stress that last point enough.

First question is what you need the fortunes for. If it's to buy scripts for multiple characters, I think Archive is just a really expensive way to get those, regardless of how good you are. I had 200K saved. The second week, I needed more. Yes you can solo farm one or two arcs relatively quickly, but the NPC only rewards you 550 extra and the bosses don't yield that much at low arcs. If you like brain-dead gameplay while listening to podcasts, maybe this isn't bad on multiple characters, but ... eh.

The reason I had 200K saved was that I'd played with a friend, who was heavily combat optimised. My own Arcanist is decent. I'm not a top parser, but I do ~92K on the trial dummy. My friend frequently did double the damage, even in the first arc. How? I'm still scratching my head. While Flail is still an execute, I think one of the keys to mob killing is probably to not use Fatecarver all the time, even at 3 crux. He might have been a templar, though. He would constantly swap gear with an addon. He'd use Dark Convergence for one add pull. He'd swap to a different set for the next, while Dark Convergence was on cooldown. He would use setups like Mechanical Acuity + Elf Bane for a long running destro ult and nuke down bosses like crazy.

Later on it becomes a question of luck with your visions. Once you have all the Archive buffs, Focused Efforts yields +500% per vision. It is the single most important one. If you don't get a few of those, don't go deep. If you do, make sure you have an Archive build to take advantage. This is really too big a topic for a single forum post, but Unleashed Terror guarantees AOE Hemorrhaging, whereas a Warden can cause AOE Burning with the Ice Furnce set.

You want to do the side quests, especially the shorter ones, since they're the same fortunes as a boss kill. It's best to do it as a duo. The higher you go, the more fortunes per boss you get. Yes it gets harder and slower, but that's where being a top DD and/or having one as a partner comes in. That said, one player being an outright tank from the beginning can work, since pulling mobs together helps the DD quite a lot. If you want to go far, bring a tank, but even prepare your DD to become tanky via gear swap. In the later arcs, it's the visions that carry your damage. Oh, and don't forget to kill those scamps in the boss fights, or whatever they are.

    Um. "Need" 500K?

What do you "need" that many fortunes for? I'm sitting on 400K and don't really have anything that I want to buy. I guess I could buy the class style pages, but I don't really care for them.

In any case, the way to get lots of fortunes is to go deep, since the rewards scale up with the arc number, but doing that in a time-efficient way requires a partner and familiarity with the place.

As others have said, definitely running with a partner — most efficient and you’ll get to higher arcs that award more archival fortunes.

    Good RNG on visions.

You won’t earn additional fortunes from running the daily on multiple characters as the archival fortune award seems to be once per account.

you get 100 instead of 500 from the daily on secondary characters. it's better than nothing.

I don't really care for the IA. To me it's repetitive and boring. It's a struggle to get enough archival fortunes when I find I want something.

I try to do the daily to build-up so I have a buffer, but it just doesn't seem to happen. If you are good with the side games (I'm not) it goes a lot faster.

Thank you for the correction! I guess I had forgotten that. Much better to continue further in the archive for more fortunes, if one is able. I rarely get far in arc 4 on my own, but I’m making progress…

Thanks for the suggestions. I need 500k to buy all the scraps for said achievements. Providing ofcourse i dont get any scraps a long the way, which would ofcourse then reduce that figure.

Doing daily quest with Arc 1 and 2 on just 3 characters.

Doing this every day if you have the time gets you around 100k Archival Fortunes per week.

If you have a steady flow of currency you wont need to get several hundred thousands asap when you want to buy something.

If you have alot of play time add a 4th and maybe a 5th char to run daily and your Archival Fortunes increase faster.

Those scraps drop naturally as a part of the grind.

@code65536 yes very rarely. I can farm 7k fortunes before 1 of those scraps has dropped.

For these fragments, by far the most time-efficient way is to just do one Arc 1 daily every day. The quest reward for the first you do each day is guaranteed to have one fragment of a collectible that you don't have completed. It starts with the ichors for the mount, but then switches to something else once you've completed that.

i usually like running till between arc 4 and 7 usually, if i have good visions ill try to get further

running till arc 4 clear is roughly 15k fortunes if you have eso+

usually going to about arc 7 i can hit around 60k fortunes for the run due to the amount scaling up

as code says though i wouldnt worry about buying them all right away, if i could i would sell extra collectible drops as they keep dropping even when you complete them, but they are all bound which is annoying

When I was running IA, I waited until like, late at night when no one could interrupt me and would run a couple Arcs. Depending on how I felt that day I might go to Arc 2 or 3. As you know, the further you go the greater the payout.

Repetition between these arcs paid off eventually, however the really nasty Marauder almost always brought an end to my IA runs. So I guess the best answer is just keep going until he shows up. gl :)
Today Victory is mine. Long live the Empire.

Ive started to do this. 1 daily seems more efficient and less mundane 🙂
