Has anyone actually seen an Ink from a boss yet?

I've yet to see one after 3 pledges and all of the West Weald dalies. Maybe I'm just unlucky?

Not from a boss, but it definitely drops from trash mobs.

Just because it can now drop from bosses doesn't mean it will be common. The drop rate will probably be similar to that of other activities.

It might seem like a drop in the bucket, but it will increase ink availability and in a few months most of us will probably have way more ink than we can use.

I got one today after the patch from an incursion. So they do drop from those.

Was it from the corpse, or from the chest? If from the corpse, is it possible you got a random mob drop from the trash that spawns alongside the boss?

I don't think they drop loot, so I assume the chest. That gives me hope for Archive farming and boss chests perhaps dropping them too.

Yeah, this dropping from boss fix that supposedly went in today is still broken. It is not dropping from world bosses in West Weald or from Mirrormoor incursions - the two overland places outside of Lucent Citadel - where ink should drop. Maybe ZOS is running on a different server than the actual live servers.

That being said, what is the actual reason for ink being so rare? What difference does it make if it drops like rain from the sky? It has no other use at present and its rarity is a severe hindrance to people wanting to use the scribing system. Either ZOS has some sort of plan to use this ink somewhere else in the future hence the need to keep it rare now or ZOS does not want people to use the scribing system. Which is it?

I just got an Ink after killing my second WB in West Weald. Lucky me - I've now successfully farmed 4 Ink since the Chapter's release.

Which bosses exactly drop ink? All bosses or just the last boss of a trial/dungeon/arena? Do you have to be in the top 12 dps for the overland bosses?

I had a double bubble from a plant node! It was my first node after the update today and I wondered if they'd fixed the drop rate.

A couple of hours later I realized it was just RNG, not a change to the drop rate:(

should be any boss in which you get boss loot from

one of the posters above showed it dropping from a WB (which would require top 12 to get the loot, and thus possible ink drops)

personally while i dont think the drop rate from bosses will be all that high, it will still be a better source of ink than trash mobs for killing

it might make sense to do more public dungeons if this is the case lol
