Well I mention the map because I keep going in circles not knowing where I am and I’m going slow so those zombies do catch up with me. The number 5 skill seems to have a really long cooldown but I keep hitting it. You have to wait for those tentacles and maybe that’s where they get me. I just think it’s got to be easier with a map.

Now that I have all the achievements for the bonus portals I pretty much ignore them. The only one will I actually do is the "collect book bindings" one, the rest are a hard pass for me now.

Is there a way to stop getting notifications for a thread you made? ...I have no idea why this one's popular again xD

If you get a side wing that you don’t want to do, you can just turn around and go back through the portal, no need to waste time starting and dying. There are many I skip when running solo as the odds of success are too low to be worth the time and aggravation.
IMHO, this is one of several side portals that is much better balanced for a duo, as if one of you gets unlucky, the other may still be able to rez or complete.
Not counting collecting things secret room, there are:
two fun and easy minigames:
- goat
- corridor (with Cowards+Fjiords gear you can make it just in time solo)
one fun and medium difficulty minigame:
- gathering lights (again, doable in sprinting gear)
one boring hard minigame:
- duelist. of course, it is soloable, but it takes enormous amount of time to solo, also high lag most likely kills you
one very hard frustrating minigame:
- watcher & bookshells (i prefer to quit at the very beginning, not to spoil my mood)
this makes wonder if Zeni employees even play this "watcher" minigame, and, if yes, do they actually find it bringing fun, but not frustration?
otherwise it (the said minigame) could be "fine-tuned" (i hope game can provide with stats like % of success fail and skip). generally if game makers do care about statistics, and players opinions and suggestions?
Sorry, ZOS. i was to say that. watcher minigame is no fun at all for me
