    Has this been verified?

    Yes, solo I deal with 4, duo it's 8.

@Necrotech_Master had an 8 arc run where we had this mini-game pop up at least 40% of the time and it's 8 at 5/5

    Is it 8 at 4/5?

Impossible for me to answer I did 4/5 solo almost a month ago.

But can confirm 1/5 and 2/5 were double from when I took my level 30 friend through there.

Well I'll just assume it probably is. Thanks for clearing that up.

I wonder if we are better off just trying to solo the last level rather than having to do double in a duo.

This was my least favorite as well. I was able to get through it and get the achievement eventually, but I still can't do it consistently.

Just use 2 to find the books, 3 to go fast, and 1 once you catch the book. It is much easier with 2 people as you can revive the other player if you go to the spot where they died and hit x. If you stay together then you can just revive each other since one player can get to all the books in the time limit.

I think the 4 skill (stun in front of you) needs to be changed. Since the zombies can 1-shot you from farther away than expected, standing in front of them is not viable.

Skill 4 should be a brief invulnerability (like the old Vampire Mist) with a cooldown. This would give you a limited tool to bypass unlucky situations, like tornados that are holding still with zombies behind you. It would also let you finesse and juke around the obstacles a little bit.

Alternatively, killing a Tomeshell should recharge your skills a few seconds, so you're incentivized to use the skills actively and rewarded for making progress. Or, it could charge up an new ultimate ability. Maybe one that spawns an npc with taunt, or converts a zombie to your side.

Also, when it starts, the zombies shouldn't spawn until you leave the safe zone by the spawn point. This way, you can look at your skills to see what they do, and plan a little bit.

I got stuck on 5 as well for a few runs but now I can clear it pretty consistently when it comes up, ..even though I hate getting it in the rotation and would rather just eat a tentacle and go back to fighting when it does. Sometimes I am not always solo and "have to clear it" blahblahblah >:[

I just started completely ignoring everything except for the #5 inky skill that slows down zoombies. It eats away their health lets you outrun them and you can keep spamming it to your hearts content. That is all I defend with now as I zip around the maze.

I love how they shut down the servers last week to fix a bunch of issues. But the endless archive issues apparently were not one of them. Especially the watcher game. If you are wearing gear and you go into that game. Your gear turns off automatically when you come out of it. Your gear is still not working properly you have to reset your gear. But it's o k because what they did fix is that we didn't get an extra item on the leader board.

They did fix it, there is a patch on PC already, console is just waiting for the patch to hit.

Here's the map of the Wing, if you look at it, you can see that there are certain chokepoints you want to avoid in the middle. When I do this I usually stick to the outer ring as it's the most room to play with and you can actually sidestep a number of the tornadoes, using that largish room in the middle of the northern part is good for kiting around enemies if you get pinned between two tentacles.

yeah, i use 2 to mark tomeshells, 3 to get around faster, 1 to attack tomeshells

for dealing with the guys chasing you, i use 4 if they are running towards me to stun them and then 5 to drop the ink on them while they are stunned

the ink is definitely the most effective way to kill the guys chasing you, along with keeping moving

It would really help to know how many tomeshells you're looking for in total and what your progress is.

The only way I completed this was doing it in a dup, and one of us ended up just being bait while the other got all the books.

4 books solo, 8 book duo

but i agree i wish there was a counter showing "X tomeshells remaining", because if your too far from a tomeshell the 2 skill wont even reveal anything

Urgh! I thought I was finally getting the hang of it after FINALLY progressing a few levels yesterday but today I failed in all five attempts. :disappointed: Did I do better spamming my abilities off cooldown or did I just get lucky yesterday? Misjudge the velocity of a booknado and pow, down to a sliver of health, and not moving did not appear to regenerate any health as far as I could tell. How is it that so many of the tomeshells I came across were going into booknados??? If my companions were that fastidious about getting OUT of aoe, that would really be something!

Happens to everyone, I have a ton of Filer's Wings under my belt and I'll still turn a corner into a tentacle or mis-time my 1 and die because what I thought was a kill was a whiff and the risen got me. But you gotta keep going, and when that chest at the end has that sweet sweet yellow lead or collectible, totally worth it.

One thing to remember is that in a duo you can rez your partner with a synergy, so that can make it easier if you focus on evading the zombies and working your way to them as quickly as possible.

I do think the zombies need to be nerfed though, they should do 25%/hit MAX.

as the difficulty increases, you get less and less health

on early difficulties you still have 20k max hp as a watcher when the zombies even start spawning, so you can take a lot of hits before going down

the last difficulty you have maybe 3k max hp, which is basically 2 hits from the zombies (most other mechanics 1 shot on the last difficulty such as the tentacles and whirlwinds)

    Ability 1: Tentacle Torment
    - Burst Out tentacles, dealing in a 5 meter radius around you dealing X Magic Damage.

Does this also damage the booknados and the tentacles?
The incunabular storm (booknado) doesn't appear to have health to be damaged. The tentacles do have about 53k health, but tentacle torment does less than 2k, so it wouldn't be worth it even if they could be damaged.
I think the 4 skill (stun in front of you) needs to be changed. Since the zombies can 1-shot you from farther away than expected, standing in front of them is not viable.
Skill 4, the stun, is a cone with a 15 meter reach. That's more than enough to hit any hushed (they're not actually zombies) well before you're within their reach.

Also: watch out for those fixed tentacles, they killed me many times and their area of effect is unpredictable. Just don't go past them.
The tentacle sweep appears to have a radius of 7 meters, which is hard to judge based purely on visuals. I can't tell you how many times I got smacked when I thought I was safe.

Might get patched later, but equipping ring of pale order heals you in watcher form if you damage Hushed with either 1 slap or 5 spray. On highest difficulty you survive about 4 hits of hushed or half a second in booknado. Big tentacle one-shots you.

I think the Argonian racial passive, Resourceful, works as well. Just go in with potions quickslotted and use one. I'm unsure if the potion is actually used or not, but health shot up.

I pretty much only use 4 (L1 on PS4/5) to stun the tentacles. Never stop, never double back. If I miss a tome with 1 (𑨠), don't stop and try again to kill it, keep moving forward and go around to try again. The 5 (R1) skill actually damages the hushed that are following as well. There's been a few times where I've killed them along with the tomeshell because they had taken enough damage. I assume they respawn, but it was nice having some space for a bit.

Took me a few attempts to figure out that 2 (⧍) actually flies off in the direction of the tomeshells.

... and just for completeness 3 is ⵔ on PS4/5.
