Question concerning Vateshran achievement "Missed Me by That Much"

It reads
"Defeat Maebroogha the Void Lich after only destroying Void Trap Shades while they are being detonated."

I am not sure to understand it exactly.

Is it that I have to give the final blow to the boss while the void shades are preparing their explosion?

Or is it only completed when I kill all void shades during this preparation for explosion during the entire fight if I cannot skip this at all?

It just means that *IF* you kill any of the trap wall guys, you must do so while the trap has reached its smallest size and is in the process of detonating to kill you.

If you complete the fight without killing any at all, you get it the achievement by default.

I mainly play sorc so streak out of the circle was the obvious solution, but the wiki page explains other options.

the easiest solutions for this are using some type of teleport (NB shadow image, sorc streak) to bypass the ring and just not kill any of them

another solution that will work is if your on a DK you can just pop magma shell and tank it out in the middle until they all explode (this is how i did it lol)

I've done that with Magmashell and it worked like a bliss. I only had to repeat the fight once because of a premature death.

I also used that damage reflecting shield from the class abilities of my dk to mitigate some of the ranged damage from flame thrower charlie and that archer.

The only challenge sometimes was to load up the ultimate early enough and sometimes I could throw magmashell on the last moment before the void shadow explosions. I used a potion that increases ultimate gain but as it did not offer health recovery and stamina recovery was low with it I reverted back to my normal krit dmg potion.

I don't know if I will ever run Vateshran that way as I have all gear and all achievements now but in case I'd do it again I will check if there is another way to buff ult gain.

Does it have to be done in vet difficulty or not ? It doesn't say anything on the achievement tool tip

it does require doing it on vet i believe

been awhile since i tried though (i finished all of the vateshran stuff like 2 years ago and havent run it much since then)
