Oblivion Damage on Scribing Skills Cannot go Live

    Give me 1 ranged spammable in the game that applies Major Vitality/Cowardice/Breach/Maim and restores 1k stam and mag every cast. For Magden class mastery, a 70% AoE snare that will also charm your targets or return 1k mag and stam if nobody is charmed. You can't possibly ask for a better ranged spammable than Wield Soul for Warden, Sorc, or any ranged class for that matter.

    Not hypothetical problems in PvP, but problems with a historical background. As stated many times throughout this thread, easy sources of Oblivion damage had existed in the past in the form of sets. Sloads, old Shieldbreaker, old infused mechanic on DW, etc. caused major backlash and were subsequently nerfed (rightfully so).

    It's definitely not over if you hold block and have enough healing and tankiness, even if 4 people are attacking you. Let's say you have 30k HP, 60% block mitigation from SnB/Ice Staff and other sources of mitigation. You take a combined 30k dmg from 4 people. That 30k value will be reduced to around 12-13k damage. You go from 30k HP to 18k HP, which is a survivable encounter if you keep your heals up. Now using the same scenario and add 9.6k Oblivion damage on top of that 12-13k. You go from 30k HP to 8-9k HP, well within execute range.

    You know what this creates? Another tanky meta where people build 40k-50k HP to survive true damage, while also using true damage themselves to kill other players. It just doesn't make the game more balanced.

    The skill was fine, I agree, but NOT with Oblivion damage. It's also definitely not useless. It's still one of the best ranged spammables in the game due to the fact you can modify its properties. What other ranged spammable can give 1k stam and mag every cast? What other ranged spammable can apply Major Vitality/Cowardice?

    The removal of the burst Oblivion damage. For PvP the DoT is slightly annoying at best and useless at worst.

    We didn’t need a third or fourth ranged spammable. We needed a proper execute. Now we might have a slightly better spammable while we still have no ranged Magicka execute. Buffing already strong classes while struggling classes were robbed, again. That‘s the problem.

    Quite agreed, although as much as I romance with Wield Soul, it will have to be significant for me to forsake the unparalleled class synergy Sorc has with Elemental/Crushing Weapons. Being able to pre cast a skill, and then use Overload into Crystal Fragments is quite impossible to beat, regardless of what buffs a spammable may offer. Which is why I only see question marks when Sorcs use Crushing Shock outside of Draugrkin builds.

    Just spamming light attack and spammable skill barely produces any meaningful burst in today's meta, and is often an unnecessary drain on ressources if you could end it with a well timed combo. :neutral:

    I 100% agree with this. The issue is a lack of an execute for magic builds especially for classes like warden or necromancer (they have a gimmicky crit chance scaling one). I wish they would add a signature script that made it do something like this:

    Script of sacrificial targeting
    "Target an enemies wounds increasing your damage dealt by up to 400% when they are below 50% hp. Using this script reduces the base power of the focus script by 50%"

    What this would do is something like this:
    Focus script:
    Shock damage

    Signature Script:
    Sacrificial Targeting

    Affix Script:
    One of choice - likely defile in all honesty

    You would essentially trade your 10k spamable tool tip for a 5k execute which scales like executioner, killer's blade, impale - all of which have around 4-6k tool tips + scaling when low.
