Good. I sure hope this doesn't change. It's ok ESO people, not everything has to get handed to us on a silver platter.

It's a celebration. And not just a celebration, but a 10 year celebration. It's literally supposed to be a gift. I understand wanting rare things that players need to earn in the game and we definitely need more of these types of collectibles. But the anniversary event is not an appropriate place for such a thing imo. Such things are better suited to challenging content.

An anniversary celebration should be a gifts for everyone type deal, especially a big anniversary.

Imo there are other rewards as "gifts", be it event tickets, box rewards, tickets store goods etc. and this is something rare and seasonal dropped in a mix as something to hunt for or to get unexpectedly while you're doing some activity that aligns with the drop. Would be better if they didn't even announced it.

No matter the looks I've noticed that if something is handed out it's getting almost no use community wide just because the fact it's handed out and not something rare or hard earned. Even if I'm craving for the staff from Vvardenfell I'd surely be more excited to be lucky enough to get it rather than waste 10 tickets or being granted it from first wb. And I surely won't be salty about not getting it as it's not defining why I'm still here by any stretch. To each their own you see.

I keep the idea of increasing a bit the drop chances if you have achievements like, for example, doing the main quest/Cadwell's Gold, Savior of Morrowind achievement, etc.

This sounds like a punishment to new players, not a reward for achievements. I disagree with this idea. I hope they never do something like this. Newer players benefit more from the event because they don’t have much to begin with. Players with these achievements probably have a lot of style/motif pages already and just destroy the bound pages.

The drop rate should be increased for the new pages for everyone instead.

Is just an idea of how it can be achieved, it doesn't have to literally be like that. Alternatively, just the Vvardenfell main quest (which a lot of players tend to do as the first quest), the main quest is also a thing new players can do easly as well.

At least I am not asking for more difficulty unlike other people I've seen, thinking is literally giving everything in Silver Platter. Is just making things equally by giving some ideas. Some took 300 anchors, it took me 150, now imagine how crazy the RNG is.

We should be able to sell any style pages we get from drops, just as it's always been. Seems weird and a bit insulting if they make the 10th anniversary style pages account bound. Sure hope this changes when they go live.

Cool, and what about the vast swaths of players who literally do not have the time to sit there and farm the pages?

Throwing at us worst kind of exhausting, time-limited grind for 10th anniversary is just insulting. Puting best reward into most boring ingame activity, which is fishing (click button, wait, click button, wait, click button, wait - geez) with "extremaly rare chance" is just pure trolling.

Do you really want me force to fish for 5-20 hours during this event? This is your idea of fun and celebration? Not even a possibility to buy this with event tickets? And what about other activites?

Now I just regret that I paid for another 6 months of eso+.

    I don't think you'll be fishing for 5- 20 hours.

I got Trueflame in under 20 fishing attempts and others appear to be reporting relatively low numbers of attempts as well for that one.

I would however note that Trueflame for me appeared to hover a bit off to your side while sheathed.

Who wants to fish for 20 hours? Hardly anyone. It's not challenging for the people who enjoy challenges. It's mostly a tedious grind. The hunt should be something most of the playerbase would actually find the gameplay loop fun if they're going to do that. Such as putting it tradeable in like Trials or PvP.

Putting an event reward behind a character bound, giant and long grind, for an extremely limited time for fishing is the worst of both worlds imo. It's feels like they don't care about their customers at all to do it that way as it is so out of line for even other rarer rewards. I just don't think the 10 year anniversary is an appropriate place for such extreme grind. There's plenty of other ways to introduce rare collectables that don't feel like ants at a picnic to a good portion of the playerbase.
