Greetings!
here is a list post with as far as i know all Outfit Styles without floating and clipping Tassets and Loincloths.

Tassets are the parts that we have on nearly all chest styles that float on the side and some even clip through the chest style.
{Addition:
Tassets usually are next to the character's legs and move with the legs.}

Loincloths are the front and back cloths.
They clip through (nearly) every leg style with skirts, that includes robes. with the exception of a few robes that have Loincloths that appear fused to the skirt.

September 20

I wear Assassins League. In Legate Black and Antique silver for bits, the small loin cloth and the very small hip plates make for a great silhouette. The shoulders are a nice collar. I have had many compliments. It is simple and elegant with a knee length skirt and no parts of me hanging out in view.

the new Ayleid Lich jerkin has tassets, but they are actually attached to the jerkin with metal pieces.

this is an example of a chest style with tassets that aren't frustrating as they aren't floating detached far off the chest.

i love this style and immediately used it once i got it

Just goes to show they can make tassets and pauldrons that are sized and shaped appropriately. I was looking a the Nerien’eth Shoulders—blech. Because of how it’s positioned, the pauldron awkwardly floats well above the character’s shoulder. It’s a shame, as the helmet’s pretty cool.

Somebody on the design team is just absolutely smitten with crotch flags. Some are so bad that if you create a character with the "leg size" set too far in the "large" direction, the flags clip through the model's actual legs. Some styles even have flags that clip into pants of the same style in the same weight. The parts that are allegedly designed to go together still have clipping issues! Who's responsible for that??

Someone needs to sit that person down and have a serious heart-to-heart with them about their aesthetic addiction. Y'all should have noticed it was getting out of hand and going off the rails as soon as the first style came out where the flag extends below the tallest high elf's knees.

Even without the clipping issues, the absurdly huge crotch flags make many of these styles look like clown suits; if you told me they were satirical caricatures of fantasy armor, I'd absolutely believe it.

I wear it on all my chars Legate Black (best black) and antique silver metal bits.

i know you said it before, but they're really visible and last i checked they do clip.

This post was created to list the styles that do Not have tassets or loincloths and put them in categories where needed.

Assassin's League has both and thus i wouldn't ever put it in my post.

Very informative post!

My suggestion to the dev team would be to move the tassets/flaps to the waist/belt section. This way you don't need a feature to hide them or change the motif. I don't think it's easy to do, but could be a solution.

They should definitely go and finalise hide tasset/cloth feature that was coded in the menu for years already. Any other way would definitely hurt already existing outfits.

We already know it's possible looking at some NPC's having none, clearly toggled off and some... Unintended interactions with certain pieces of clothing that makes parts disappear, so those are already aren't a solid part of the model but a modular piece.

Dead Keeper medium and heavy got 2 scroll cases on one hip. But besides that they are free of flaps and the scrolls are fine.

The Light version though, that one got metal platings floating on the hips! Completely ruining a nice robe.

the Scroll seems like a Tasset to me.

The Scroll is next to the legs like nearly all other Tassets,
moves with the legs,
and doesn't have a strap connecting it to the chest like Saarthal Scholar's back pocket (which doesn't move at all).

it's a cool style, but i will keep it in the list with Tassets unless that ^ stuff changes.

This issue is a "pain point" for many years. They have only addressed the shoulder piece. My impression is that someone in the lead team considers this to be an ESO thing, so if you see any screenshot with a character from ESO, you know it's from ESO. Similar to how large are the shoulders from WoW, it became a feature. Second, I believe the devs want us to buy costumes, which have slightly different visuals from the outfits and motifs. Probably this is why they don't release outfit pieces like the NPC clothing, or tasset free variants which some NPCs wear. I don't like this... I feel like a forced limitation on how I customise my characters, and I have been waiting for years to see a change. Unfortunately, they love their tassets and crotch flaps. The issue is more pronounced with female characters. If they are more curvy, then the tassets are enlarged and float even more around the hips. For male chars this is less of an issue.
I hope they will fix this in a way or another.

Bloodforge heavy is free.

Technically all weights of Bloodforge - light just has a little belt hanging down barely and medium does have two extremely close pouches that are really small, but all heavy has is a chonky belt

I'm ok with some if not most of the tassets, its the butt cloths I can't stand. There's been only one I liked, because it adds a nice touch to the armour top, but the rest I wish they would get rid of.
