There is a thread of interest that covered an outside, online, type of AH.

Not sure of all the details, was a work in progress mentioned the other day in a thread, but there is now a thread on it.

    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/94173/introducing-the-golden-scrolls-an-online-eso-marketplace#latest

I may check it out, or not, I am sort of ambivalent while i think it may have merit.

I think that's a good idea @alphawolph‌ - Eve Online had a Trading forum. They also had a Features & Ideas discussion forum where people could submit their ideas for improvements that could be made to the game.
  • Arsvita
Just took a look at The Golden Scrolls an Online ESO Marketplace, GSO, and it is very basic.

It covers NA and EU and is listed with the Pact.
    I use X = Product, Y = number of Product, and Z = Price/per.
Listed as buy or sell X by Y for Z.

You have to do all exchanges in game, the Golden Scrolls is the tea house for the setting.

A free market for contacting the free traders to conduct deals that are carried out while playing in the game. This is an AH that is available to all the players.

This may also be a Trading Forum, without cluttering these forums that are too broad and general, allowing these to be used as the sounding boards that they are ... which have included many on some form of in game AH, that a vocal minority shout down, whether there would ever be one or not. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The Crafting is the "General" section of the Forum unless you go to the PvE/PvP Faction Section which is more specific on quests than ideas. While most quest bugs are directed to the Customer Services Section, but there are still those that are in the Pact areas in hopes of answers.

Even having a General Section would be a bit chaotic, I think, to handle the amount of "general" that is generated.

Having no non-guild type of AH leaves many wanting something they can do to work out buy and trade arrangements. There are few options and I do not believe a General Section would work for that issue.

Either a Trade, Want to Trade Section, or (the best seeming available option at the moment) may be the site for The Golden Scrolls as the place to look up desired items, or likewise sell them, and then meeting with the person in game (who says haggling is dead :) ) finalize the purchase or sale.

I did list both General and Trade, and the third option that someone has already put to use (GSO) at his own expense of time and effort. The other comments were a General or a Trade, but as of yet there is currently neither and only the third option is in place for Trade.

Also, as for the first reply to the thread:

As there is a call for, but vehement resistance to, and actual type of AH. There are people that would like something working in either the very near future or is up and running now.

The third option that is up now, and if it is able to get a good hold, saves the time and even an optional work in of the other three that are now mentioned.

This is about a thread about a form of trading that the players can use. This is not a personal attack, but an ability to voice some peoples opinions, not just Brennan, but ol' Malediktus as well, with their own words, sentiment, and feeling. There is heat, I would almost say anger ...
But I do have questions, and I do have replies even ...
And this is all centered upon matters of trading.
    Brennan wrote: »
I have to assume from your response that you're not familiar with the term, "working as intended".

The absence of an Auction House is working as intended and therefore does not need to be addressed. If it wasn't working as intended I have some semblance of faith that it would be addressed.
No AH, Guild only "stores" that are free of "effective manipulation" for trade?
Control of an economy that affects only guilds and their stores?
Does not affect any other players ... who want some form or forum to trade.
The perfect working as is Guild (with duping) Market?

Not what I see happening even though this has been covered already.

Wanting a trading Forum, aside from a separate General Forum would be nice.
We do not have that. Working as intended, perhaps.
There are always other options. But the question is Trade, not guild or guild related only, and the ability to do so.

Please keep this about trade in either Forum, or other form, and a separate General that should have it's own thread as it detracts from the main reason of this thread.

Dude - is this going to be another thread about an Auction House?

Or is it a thread about adding more to the forums?

If you want to discuss the Auction House - that thread is over there and there and there and there and there.

If you want to talk about the forums I am happy to discuss it with you. But your response and that of Methjester amounts to nothing but trolling. So make up your mind - Do you want to talk more about an Auction House in this thread or do you want to talk about adding more to the ESO Forum? Or is it your intent to hijack every thread, yours included, with more incessant whining about the absence of an Auction House?

I've already stated that I think a Trade Forum is a good idea. Did you want to continue to argue with and act condescending towards an individual that supports your OP?

I see what you're trying to say.

Since I brought up Eve Online I'm a hypocrite for criticizing Dyvim for bringing up GW2.

Here's the difference. I chose to support your OP on it's own merits. Dyvim is demanding that 1) Zenimax give us a shared crafting bag - Source and 2) They add a global Auction House.

I thought you had a good idea. Sorry if you don't like the way I came to that way of thinking. Congratulations on making this thread more about me and less about your OP.
