We could do with a general area so that everyone doesn't dump every whine/idea in the crafting zone.
The Crafting is the "General" section of the Forum unless you go to the PvE/PvP Faction Section which is more specific on quests than ideas. While most quest bugs are directed to the Customer Services Section, but there are still those that are in the Pact areas in hopes of answers.
Even having a General Section would be a bit chaotic, I think, to handle the amount of "general" that is generated.
Having no non-guild type of AH leaves many wanting something they can do to work out buy and trade arrangements. There are few options and I do not believe a General Section would work for that issue.
Either a Trade, Want to Trade Section, or (the best seeming available option at the moment) may be the site for The Golden Scrolls as the place to look up desired items, or likewise sell them, and then meeting with the person in game (who says haggling is dead ) finalize the purchase or sale.
As there is a call for, but vehement resistance to, and actual type of AH. There are people that would like something working in either the very near future or is up and running now.I don't see that happening. Not that it shouldn't but the forums are a mess.

I think what is being stated here is that the forums need a General section as well as a Trade section.

@brennan according to everything you've said previously the devs did a perfect job with the trading system and nothing else need be done. I can't believe you didn't tell everyone that.
This is about a thread about a form of trading that the players can use. This is not a personal attack, but an ability to voice some peoples opinions, not just Brennan, but ol' Malediktus as well, with their own words, sentiment, and feeling. There is heat, I would almost say anger ...methjester wrote: »

Here's an idea - how about you let other people voice their opinion instead of telling them what their opinion should be.
Also reporting your post as trolling as it does not pertain to the discussion at hand and is only intended to illicit a response from me.
No AH, Guild only "stores" that are free of "effective manipulation" for trade?I have to assume from your response that you're not familiar with the term, "working as intended".
The absence of an Auction House is working as intended and therefore does not need to be addressed. If it wasn't working as intended I have some semblance of faith that it would be addressed.
Not what I see happening even though this has been covered already.Except that with the current system, no single person or group of people can effectively manipulate the entire global economy. Predators can game the guild system all they want. At most, that will affect 2500 players. Add an AH and it affects them all.
There is no S.E.C. here.
Malediktus wrote:Its simple tell them you will only sell per pick up and your prices arent negotiable. Most people will cave in, because thats still better than spending time finding another seller. I can pretty much buy up a lot of stuff from the 5 guild stores have access to and sell it for at least 50-100% more without having to pay any taxes.
Still happening where it is dragged out of the guild and put into general. You know. Those people that may, but mostly do not, belong to an anonymous trading guild.Malediktus wrote: »I usually sell blue recipes for 1000 gold, purple recipes for 4000 gold. Sure they dont sell instantly for the price, but I usually buy up all the cheap stock from my 5 trading guilds and within one hour I have eveything resold.
I dont make a difference between quality lvl of the food and ingredients required.
People pay my price or they can get lost. TESO is a sellers market.
I think that's a good idea @alphawolph - Eve Online had a Trading forum. They also had a Features & Ideas discussion forum where people could submit their ideas for improvements that could be made to the game.
I'm getting dizzy with the spin, but I do not believe I am missing the truth of these posts and the means they had of trading and selling.Your post are only good for a laugh Dyvim. I'm looking forward to you getting more mad that ESO isn't GW2 and then writing walls of text about it.
This isn't EVE either. You can compare it to any game you want.
The compelling reason for not having one is because this game doesn't have one. It is the status quo. It is the norm.
That's a mighty fine question there. Truthfully, all people see things differently. That is life and experience. My question to you is what specific qualifications do you have to speak intelligently on what is good or not good for the game?

But I do have questions, and I do have replies even ...

Control of an economy that affects only guilds and their stores?
Does not affect any other players ... who want some form or forum to trade.
The perfect working as is Guild (with duping) Market? Not what I see happening even though this has been covered already.Except that with the current system, no single person or group of people can effectively manipulate the entire global economy. Why insult and "Voice Opinion" of Dyvim while you complain that someone supposedly did the same to you and then threaten them? The compelling reason for not having one is because this game doesn't have one. Wanting a trading Forum, aside from a separate General Forum would be nice.
We do not have that. Working as intended, perhaps.
There are always other options. But the question is Trade, not guild or guild related only, and the ability to do so.
Please keep this about trade in either Forum, or other form, and a separate General that should have it's own thread as it detracts from the main reason of this thread.
Congratulations on making this thread more about me and less about your OP.

You kill me, I bring up thread about classifieds. Arsvita and you start going at it. (Which i'm still convinced you think is my post.) And, I try to bring it back to classifieds.
Your right it's all about you.
