Tho'at V2 mechanic, I cant figure it out.

I have tried to figure this out a few times now and I cant seem to. I keep getting killed by the same mechanic. "Tho'at Replicanum's Tho'at Shard" "Seeking Spheres". It may be my vision problems in the pool of black goo.. Can anyone that knows what that is shed some light on it for me please?

    The little blobs on that fight will periodically channel an ability that needs to be interrupted. The damage from this ramps up quickly if you don't interrupt--it can easily kill a tank if left alone.

    So it's important to keep the population of those small blobs in check, since it can be difficult to target them for an interrupt as there can easily be things that get in the way.

    Oh that's interesting, I was confused by this one too... I'm unsure if it's a little buggy or what else might be going on - I get absolutely ravaged by that mech every time I bring my arcanist, but I don't even seem to experience it on my templar at all.

    But thanks for the explanation... maybe now I can figure it out :P

    Yeah its the sliver slime looking monsters they float above the ground and warp themselves spitting out shards that hit you the longer you ignore them harder they hit

    After that bit of insight ran it again, I found a few of them inside/obstructed by the massive tentacles during that phase and it was those hidden buggers that were doing it. The best part is the only indication of this is the classic you can interrupt me particle effect. I have to use high contrast telegraphs and those balls had none so I couldn't even back trace the source. I am going to guess jabs clears them by just happenstance on your templar.

    Alright, so we are talking Tho'at mechanics. Any thoughts on arc2? Is it normal that the boss dies but adds stay up ? ( atronach). Ty

    Not suggesting you run a bash build but the auto interrupt from Deadlands Demolisher is a hard counter to Tho'at Shards.

    Happened when I did it with my sorc. I just focused the boss, interrupted and killed the blobs. When the boss was gone I killed all the adds. Took a couple of minutes. After that, fight was won.

    I think each version has one more boss. In v2 is the atronach, in v3 is mantikora in v4 is a dragon.

    You have to kill them all.

    Tho'at Replicanum triggers the Ice Atronach to spawn when it hits a certain health percentage.
    The Ice Atronach triggers the Mantikora to spawn when it hits a certain health percentage.
    And the Mantikora triggers the dragon to spawn when it hits a certain health percentage.

    To avoid not getting mobbed by multiple bosses it's advised that you kill them in order (Tho'at > Ice Atro > Mantikora > Dragon).

    Killing a specific boss will also eliminate it's associated mechanic from the rest of the fight:
    Tho'at - the ground AoEs she spits at you (although the other bosses have variations of this)
    Ice Atro - big and small tentacles
    Mantikora - tracking lasers

    The dragon also won't land until the Mantikora has been killed (but will fly around the room spitting fire and ground AoEs until it has).

    As far as I can tell the smaller Tho'at Shard blobs start with Tho'at herself and persist throughout the entire fight.

    I have real trouble seeing Tho’at’s blobs, even though I keep trying to target them. And it’s even worse when the ice atronach shows up and spawns the tentacles.

    The NPC that is in the room with you will usually be aggro'ed on them when they are up. I recommend either having a ranged attack, so you can hit them from a distance, or having a ground AoE to put under them. They don't have very much health so it is usually easier to kill them than to interrupt them.
