Endless Archive Mails with lewt?

Logged into the game (Monday) and saw a couple mails from Master Malkhest that had attachments of a purple transmute geode and a gold gear piece. Is this a bug or feature? I've never received these types of mails before, so just wondering what they were.. if it is indeed a feature of doing EA, I'm going to need to play it more! xD... at least it helps w/ farming the gear unlocks at getting once piece every half hour-ish.

Edit: Did EA on multiple toons last week, this Monday no lewt mails. So I'm assuming that the mails were either a bug, or they were indeed leaderboard rewards and EA has picked up in popularity. Absolute shenanigans if it was a ninja fix xD

Edit #2: There was mention that the patches reset the leaderboards... if that's the case, I stand in solidarity for yous who put immense effort into your leaderboards. That be shenanigans :S

Edit #3: @Hugie mentioned that the leaderboards were working and he got rewards, but yeah you need to score higher/put effort in/not be lazy (me). Blah

Anywho, that settles the gold loot thing. G'luck everyone and don't burn out >.<

weekly leaderboard rewards

other content already contains them (vet trials and vet arenas) on a weekly basis

there is a weekly leaderboard for endless archive separate from other things

just as a note, the leaderboard rewards are not curated, but still nice to get the gold gear

I got two mails each on my Warden and Necro, and a grand total of four (!) leaderboard reward mails for my Nightblade. I expected to get three total mails and instead got eight. Is that somehow intended or a new bug with the latest patch? Last week I got a singular mail reward from the only character I went into EA with on patch day. I definitely was not on the duo leaderboard because that's a lot more competitive and these characters didn't make it very far into EA.

Completing it once weekly should get you credit whenever EA is the weekly (you can do this on every toon you have that can complete Arc 1.)

Trials work the same way.

It surprised me when I learned that these were for getting onto the leaderboards.

I am only using a companion, and I haven't even made it to the arc 1 boss yet, so I had no clue why I was getting mails from the EA.

I just noted the same thing. I got 2 emails with gold loot for my Templar - and I never made it past Tho'at - yet.

I'm pretty sure they got sent to pretty much everyone that participated.

Even my characters that deliberately got 1,000 points to track participation in EA got them.

It's a glitch on NA, affecting all leaderboards (not just EA).

All of weekly mails this week were doubled, for the solo, trial, and EA weeklies.

This wasn't a problem with last week's NA mails, nor was it a problem with this week's EU mails.

So my best guess is that this was probably just some sort of one-time glitch affecting only NA and only this week.

I say its like Cyrodil, you need to do 25K AP to get the 50 crystal reward.

My mail didn't connect with my stickerbook... one was new -one I already had.
They couldn't connect to leaderboard anyway, considering many of us are perma-glitched and don't appear on it.

Only thing curated is drop from bosses as far as I know.

If you have not seen it yet, there's a lead that drops in EA with a pouch of 1000 EA currency. More if you have the bonus that I think comes with ESO+

I was surprised to get leaderboard loot too. Only one since I only took one toon in there and always pulled out a companion when I started to struggle if I was on my own. Usually around boss 4 in arc 1.

Last night I decided to go solo until I died just to get some solo loot next week. Surprised how far I made it (arc 2 boss 4 when The Serpent, who I can't even defeat on arc 1 wiped me).

Will have to try with my other alts just to see how they compare. Wasn't going to but the leader board loot is definitely a good incentive.

Two runs of 1.1.1 were enough to get me on the weekly leader boards, position 1062 solo, 4996 duo. Next week I'll see if any rewards turn up.

There is a gold one that drops 2,000 fortunes (2,200 for ESO+) as well.

The leaderboards got reset with the patch, nobody was rewarded.

Hmm that'd be Shenanigans with an extra heaping sprinkling of shenanigans >.< haha. Does that affect all the leaderboards? Wow that'd suck for people that worked hard for their leaderboard... :S

The threshold was much higher this week to receive leaderboard rewards, and they seem to have fixed the glitch that caused double mails to be sent. Last week, scores of ~36k (just to get arc 1 done for skill point on a bunch of toons) got leaderboard mails. This week, I only got leaderboard rewards for toons that really delved far into the archive. The scores that received rewards in the mail were:
- 162k (solo arc)
- 186k (solo warden)
- 296k (duo warden)

Several toons that did 42k runs (i.e. finish arc 1 + kill first boss in arc 2) did not qualify.

TLDR: they appear to be working as intended now, just gotta get higher scores!

I don't think that was it. I polled some people, and...

All scores that were set post-maintenance (there were several hours between when the servers came up and when the weekly closed) got mails, even low ones.

Most scores that were set pre-maintenance did not get mails. And I don't think it's a matter of how high the score was, since I had someone say that their arc 10 pre-maintenance run didn't get anything, and I've had someone say that their arc 3 pre-maintenance run did get something.

I personally got nothing from an arc 7 run pre-maintenance and got a mail from an arc 1 run post-maintenance.

I would say it is reliant on higher scores too. I received nothing this week. The farthest I have got is Tho'at arc 2 on solo and Tho'at arc 3 on duo.

A shame but not really a surprise. The surprise was that I got anything last week.

I guess it means that in time the only ones who will be able to get anything from the leaderboard are those who have time to do runs that last all day.

In anticipation of free transmutes and gold gear, I ran at least Arc 1 on all my alts last week.. and got 0 reward mails! Some communication about how the leaderboard rewards are supposed to function would be great, especially if things were fixed (e.g. erroneous double rewards) or broken (e.g. getting reward mails at all?) by the Monday maintenance. I specifically checked the patch notes to see if any EA loot mails were mentioned and it didn't seem so?

From what we saw, they wiped the leaderboards with the maintenance without warning and haven't said anything about it yet.

Hmm, I didn't pay attention to pre- vs. post-maintenance. Pretty sure all of my runs were pre- as I didn't do EA on Monday 13th between maintenance and rewards being tabulated. However, looking at the leaderboards again now that we're into the new week, they have (once again) failed to reset the "(Weekly)" rankings; I still see myself on the weekly leaderboard despite not having run EA since the weekly reset. So, something's still borked.

At least arcanists show up on Duo now. Baby steps...

The leaderboards weren’t wiped during maintenance. Otherwise, it should have been fairly easy to get on them yesterday, but getting to Tho’at 2.0 with a companion last night yielded nothing today. I did, however, get a reward on a character I haven’t played EA with since this weekend, probably for getting to Tho’at 3.0 last Thursday with a guildmate.

All of my scores were wiped. But there was a countdown last night, and I made a solo run to 127th in my class, and it registered as soon as I lost my third thread. And it's still on the board after the 7 day timer reset... but I didn't get any rewards. So, I have no idea how the new leaderboard is supposed to work. It's possible that you now have to be in the top 100 for gold gear rewards, as is the case with the Cyrodiil leaderboards. But I guess we'll never know for sure until they explain it. And with the current state of communication, I am not expecting that to happen.
