I think a lot of players will try it out to see what it's like and never go back to it again. This is not made for solo play like they claim it is. And ZOS knows this. I will not be surprised if, in the next update, it gets nerf. Some of the players I know who tried it said it's a nightmare with the OP mob's one-hit kills.
This is my problem with ZOS. They say things that turn out to not be true. And when they back off from it they never say they were wrong. Just go back and look at all the stuff they said about it before the pts and launch. I'm not making this up.

this EA stuff is not for most people. I did it solo a few times yesterday, made it to middle of arc 3. but that boss at the end of the arcs is crazy nuts. and during the last run of the day i only made it to 3rd part of the arc 1. i ran into 1 boss that whiped me because he would do some blast that 1 shotted me, i had nothing to hide behind or in. either its bugged or i do not have a clue.
i have yet to not die on that boss that spawns when you are killing other monsters. he just pops up out of nowhere and 1 or 2 shots while you are dealing with 7 other mobs.
oh and i am not sure if this is new with the patch or just EA, but as a sorcerer my pets were dying left and right, this never happens in trials lol.

Now imagine how someone that is casual feels about it. I have no idea what I can parse and until the game itself teaches such and offers tools I will never know. Having to use addons should not be required to play the game.
Pets will die as often as companions, so they are useless too. The only way I could see this activity as being fun would be to go into it with another player (for rez etc.)....BUT it was sold as something you could do solo with a companion or with another player this is again wrong.
For them to not include the "intended audience" in the notes just makes them look like they intended it for everyone but as you said it is not.
The trash I fought are easy enough, but the trial bosses and some dungeon bosses need to be heavily nerfed, at least until later arcs, or they will just cause players like me to quit.
Sorry for the continual posts, but I posted on the PTS and warned them about said problems a month ago and they ignored almost all feedback. The only thing they did was reduce the phases AFAIK. In all honesty I wanted it to be fun, but it is not!

Wait, you guys are feeling rewarded....?Just like Maelstrom Arena, going through boring trash mobs and easy bosses for precious little reward before reaching a challenging and rewarding boss requires a similar time commitment.

There are no oneshot mechanics out there, only players who think it's 2018 and 18k HP is enough for everything.
If you have to block, dodge, or evade in anyway to not die in basically one hit.... it is still very much a oneshot mechanic. I've seen a random mob enemy in arc 3 hit for over 28k (I have a little over 30k health and decent resistance numbers). Yes; it could have been blocked, dodged, or evaded.... but with everything else going on I took the hit. Which is fine for me, I'm not complaining about that.... but trying to say there are no oneshot mechanics is just inaccurate.
All jokes aside, one reason I've given up on trying to get the no death veteran Maelstrom Arena achievement is just because of how easy all the rounds before the difficulty suddenly spikes up in the ice rink one. I'm not a very patient person, and constantly going through all the rounds before that are mind-numbing.
So when do you get an item set? I played the endless dungeon on PTS and never got a set piece. I soloed Arc 1 & 2 but stopped at 2nd stage on Arc 3.
I found the EA quite easy for arc 1 and arc 2. I just got lag and disconnected, which got me back to start. Died only once due to boss 1-shot mechanics (the Lord Warden Dusk mechanic, where I entered the portal too early).
Please do *not* nerf this dungeon!
