I did not vote myself, so that this would not be a biased post/poll. Tbh I am not concerned either, and I do now regret using the word "worried" in the title. I probably could have come up with something better, but I was in a rush to post this before it slipped my mind.

I never changed my playstyle or gear in years.I'm guessing a major change will hopefully be how dungeon finder works, since there's ging to be a endless dungeon.

Nah, not playing the game atm, whatever lol....
currently I prefer Grahms Meat-Week and the new scoreboard in F76 to standing around at ESO worldbosses waiting for an hour for other players to show up. Did not buy Necrom, and feel it was the correct choice after the feedback I've read.
So no new content that would keep me engaged, old content getting more difficult (less players, more nerfs). So not looking forwards more of such changes at all.

No, at the moment U40 goes live I already should have my ESO+ taken down because I plan to take another break, hopefully for more than 2 years.

Not really. If some scary patch notes come out, maybe, but I think the dust will settle like it always does. If I like the game after, I'll still play. If not, I move on or take a break.

I'm actually looking forward to the Endless Dungeons, hopefully they have some cool sets and rewards. If nothing else, it'll be something to do with the wife.

I expect a bunch of combat changes that nobody wants and don’t address any real balance concerns. I expect feedback about the changes to be met with contempt by the studio. I expect major bugs (like the immortal arcanist condition) to go unaddressed.

So no, I am not worried. My expectations are too low to bother with worry.

my stamplar healer is fun. sio long as i can fly through the air and slam the ground with my 2h mace, i guess i'll be alright. those aoe heals and such are pretty good even for stam healers. choke thorn getts the ones that aoe heals miss. and i still have bol for emergencies and that pvp thing for heals for people close around me in melee. And i still get to do jabby jabby with the light spear thing. so def 2h/dw heals is a thing. why worry? oh and did i mention healing barrier and orbs? no worries here.

There’s so many incredible games this year. If ESO really wants to retain players and bring in lots of new ones, they’re going to have to blow it out of the water.

    - New Cyberpunk DLC
    - Starfield
    - BG3

    Just to name a few!

As others have said, why should we "worry" about a game? If it's still fun then play on. If it's not, move on. I guess some people have such amazing lives that they need something trivial like this to expend mental energy on.

U35, U36, Companions, ToT, those little symbols players put on ya without asking permission first, PvP kill feed, AwA's, camps ending on the last day of the month instead of every 30 days even, templar jabs animation......

Ya, I worry about what might come next.

It's unlikely but possible the update will collect personal info, accounts and passwords, send it to hackers then encrypt all data on system and demand ransom in bitcoins. What's there to worry about?

This has and will continue to be a really amazing year for gaming. There are far too many new games or expansions in my library and wishlist to be concerned with what zeni does to eso.

More concerned than worried. I never used to be, but in my view ZOS have made a lot of mistakes over the last 18 months or so, and taken together they do cause me some concern as to how they intend to move forward. In particular, their stated reason for switching achievements to being account-wide, namely the need to reduce the demands on the database in order to accommodate future additions to the game, if true, leaves me concerned as to what other core aspects of the game they may need to spoil for that same reason.

Then the move towards flashy visuals is also a cause for concern so far as I'm concerned. and I fear more of the same being introduced. They seem to want to move the game away from what it always used to be, and developers who do that generally find that they don't attract the new players they were looking for but instead lose the hitherto loyal existing ones.

There's always something coming, don't care anymore after years of actually caring and making feedback and testing on PTS. If it's good I'd might play, if not that's fine as there's no shortage of games atm luckily.

From U39 I learned that what ZoS considers Quality of Life and what the players consider QoL are two vastly different things, so I will retain my usual skepticism about the upcoming update.

I have no clue what this thread is about but I voted the popcorn option. I guess it's about a future mega update or something.

The forums are more entertaining than both YouTube and Netflix combind.

I wouldn't have even known there were combat changes in U35 if not for all the (please forgive my choice of words, but it's my honest opinion) overblown hysteria about it before it had even dropped. I couldn't even tell any differences on my characters and with my playstyle.

On the other hand, there were a couple of updates a year or three before U35 that hit me pretty hard.

After the earlier one, my mains could barely solo resources in Cyrodiil anymore, which was something I enjoy doing since I am lousy at actual PvP, but eventually I adapted-- or else there were just further balancing changes-- and I was back to being able to solo resources.

After the more recent one-- the year before U35-- my PC EU main could no longer solo a certain boss in Northern Elsweyr, and some of the other world bosses in the game I'd enjoyed soloing were much harder to get through without dying several times. But I've adapted as best I could-- without making any gear changes or respecs, just modifying my combat rhythms a bit and watching my Stamina and Health resources more carefully.

U39 has been pretty good for my characters, as far as I can tell; as with U35, I haven't even really noticed any changes.

So I'll roll with any punches and go with the flow as best I can, whatever may come.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

I hope they make lots of big changes as long as they turn out to be good ones. The game is in a stale state right now with low player counts and needs a refresh.

every update for the last 2-3 years introduces more bugs into pvp combat than existed before and they don’t get fixed, so yes.

also pvp class balance gets worse with each update (another powerful buff to NB incoming, count on it)

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

Of course I'm worried; petrified even. I mean, what if the marketing department got the spelling wrong, and it's actually "Endless Are-the-chives"?!? You lot might be ready to face hoards of angry green onions thoroughly discontented by their perpetual abusive relationship with sour cream, but not me! To quote a certain tall fellow with a long gray beard and a pointy hat, "Against some foes, I have yet to be tested."

It could be worse: it could be 'endless arc hives' whereby every time you wipe, your character gets arc-shaped hives and they persist on a timer, like bounties. The more you wipe, the more 'endless' the hives seem.

I'm not worried and will watch the stream to find out what's coming down the pipe. If I like it, great! If not, I'll do what I'm doing now. Daily writs and endeavors, and that's all. Most of my gaming time is already being spent elsewhere.

So...dunno. If it's good, maybe I'll play ESO a little more. If it's not so good, no change. If it's terrible, I might cancel my sub and come back when new story content drops.

I go in with hope and try to make lemons out of lemonade. Wasnt too thrilled with Necrom but on the bright side i got some neato furniture blueprints. Nine know my housing guildies went gaga over the telvanni mushroom furniture.

Point is take everything in stride and roll with the punches.
