I have heard people pronounce Dreugh wax many different ways over the years.
Some examples are: Dro-wax. Draw-wax. Dreu-wax. Dree-ugh-wax. Dre-ugh wax.
I've always called it Dre-ugh wax. There are Dreugh creatures in the game. They have the same spelling as the crafting material.
There are numerous times an npc pronounces Dreugh as "Dre-ugh".
How do you pronounce it?

TES is such a big franchise (and ESO has so many voicelines) that you're bound to find mispronunciations.
I'm not even gonna go into the guy that claims to be the Nerevarine in Vvardenfell but can't even pronounce it correctly27 -

For dreugh, I pronounce it ‘drewg’ as in the second syllable of Andrew, with a g on the end.1 -

But quite honestly, english pronounciation is a mess. Do you call your Wifi Router now Router as in Route66 (with an r at the end of course) or do you call it Root(er) like the superuser on Linux UNIX Systems? Do you say dance with an open a (as in british pronounciation) or like an american a? And why is "spouse" pronaunced with an au while "course" with an ou? Or why do brits sometimes use the open a and sometimes the american a? English pronounciation simply doesn't make sense sometimes. And i am not even talking about regional accents, but about entire nations that all claim to speak english.
People always say german is hard to learn, but we have extremely clear rules on how words are pronounced. Once you learned this (also really easy) system, you can pronounce any german word, even if you never heard it before. The only thing in german, that is not clear, is the Ch as in Chemie (chemistry) or China. Some pronounce the Ch as a k, some as a broader sh as in the english word sh*t . But then again, this is more a regional difference, in the south it is more the k sound, towards the north it is the sh sound.6 -

✭For the first 5 years of playing I always thought it was pronounced "drow" (not like brow, but more like drew), I've heard the NPCs say dreg, and later learned it was actually pronounced dreg, but I can't get away from calling it drow wax.0 -
