Can we have a Future non-class skill line?

Not necessarily a weapon skill line, but a guild or perhaps world skill line that isn’t filled with niche effects but optional build reinforcing skills.
Something like a Hedge Magic skill line with a focus on underrepresented damage types.

Perhaps something like this:

Hedge Magic

Ultimate: Flame with Disease Morph

Skill 1: Magic AoE DoT with Disease Morph (increased status effect chance)
Skill 2: Frost Single Target DoT with Disease Morph (execute mechanic)
Skill 3: Shock Single Target DPS skill with Disease Morph (could be instant direct or channel)
Skill 4: Flame Atronach pet with Disease Zombie Morph (one ranged, one melee. Both can be reactivated with unique results)
Skill 5: Healing Spell with Tanking Morph (To give healers and tanks something out of it. Perhaps with unique synergies or effects not found elsewhere.)

Reason most morphs are Disease, is that this damage type does not exist in non-class skill lines and as such needs some representation outside of classes.
This would enable Disease builds to actually be a thing.

This would open up so many options for builds, such as a Flame Sorcerer or Frost Necromancer as a couple of examples.

This could be repeated in a further world skill line that opens up more Bleed, Physical and Poison options for the more warrior and assassin type builds.

    Most of the community have been asking for this for a long time. Either a new weapon skill or world skill line. We got Psijic a while ago but they are focused on CC and support mainly. We need some more spells and damage options to make builds more diverse.

    Especially on the Disease front, but a little bit of everything would be best. Which is why I think a mixed bag for magic elemental spells with disease morphs having its own skill line is the best direction.

    A Disease/Magic weapon would also fill a gap as an alternative. The question is, what would a Disease/Magic weapon look like? Another staff? Wand? Something else entirely? But the biggest issue with weapons is the work put into new motifs which ZoS won’t be willing to do. So if it were weapon, a staff or some kind of unarmed casting line would be the only viable options. As motifs already exits for staves.

    One handed with no shield would also be a viable option, but would this style fit thematically with Disease? That’s another question.

    One final option which I think could possibly work is if there was some kind of way to allow an off hand dagger with a new occult staff. Resulting in a more occult caster style. Could work with Blood based Magic damage spells and Disease Morphs with a couple of melee skills for the dagger. But this might require complicated coding, but at least the motifs exist for staves and daggers.

    It might be just easier to create either a world/guild skill line that has a bit of everything. Or a new Occult Staff line that focuses on Magic Damage and Disease Damage.

    Man I would be cool with a skill line which allows you to summon atronachs etc. but that wouldn't play well by stealing the sorc identity. All I'm saying is that I'd be 100% ok with being able to summon a gargoyle pet while being a vampire xD

    How would it steal? Sorcs have more than one identity. Just because a pet build is possible does not mean it is the only build they have. And a single flame atro isn’t going to take away what they can already do. It will enhance it if anything. Also, the Zombie morph might not quite fit, but I couldn’t really think of a Disease based pet. I suppose it could be Poison Wasp instead.

    If they added new skill lines, I'd never use them. I like new classes because I have all my girls set up the way I want them to play already, so I never mess with their builds or skills.

    But still, so many prefer that option that it would be fine with me if they did add them - because as with so much else in this game, i'd just ignore them....

    Moarmer wasn't an optional race in the Elder Scrolls series, and I don't think ZOS will break that tradition.
    But non-class skills based on Disease Damage are indeed a good idea, and considering that Peryite is involved in the Necrom chapter, this fits the development of the plot very well.
    Example: A member of a Daedric order who worships Peryite discovers that their god may have made a mistake, so seeks the player's help and gives the player a new skill line.
    And this skill line mainly takes Disease, Poison Damage, and Flame (considering Peryite's dragon image) as the main elements.
    This skill line can be presented in such ways as making the player spit venom, giving a curse with a disease, using a fireball with poison gas, healing with a disease (fight fire with fire), throwing a poisonous frog that explodes.

    As much as I like the sound of water based spells, Disease is the damage type that needs some off-class love. It is woefully underrepresented. That being said, I suppose technically Water spells could have Disease morphs if you went down the sewage/stale water route.

    I was thinking more along the lines of Puss and Rotting Flesh for Disease skills, but the Poison Gas Idea could be a Disease AoE. Like a toxic cloud that deals damage over time. Call it Miasma or something. There are plenty of green gas cloud effects that already exist in the game. Perhaps it could have a Frost morph for a frozen Mist.

    It goes back to spellcrafting for me. I'd rather a spellcrafting type thing be a skill crafting skill line, where you can go throughout the world and find ingredients for skills, or even full skills. It'd appear as a world skill line, and would have 1 ultimate slot, 5 skill slots, and 4 passive slots, which you can fill with the skills you make or find, and replace the skills you have with other skills you make or find. I think that would open things up a lot, though it might kill the game's skill line systems in the future if Zos can just make more skills you can unlock for this skill line.

    Based on the style of Peryite's cultists in Scalecaller Peak, I think the poisonous water/ice should be related to Peryite, after all, we all know that in Elder Scrolls, dragons can also use ice.
    Therefore, it should be reasonable to have a poisonous ice fog, for example: create a poisonous fog in a designated area, causing damage over time.
    which can then be branched into:
    1. Create ice fog and cause frost and disease damage at the same time.
    2. The poisonous mist produces an additional explosion (similar to methane gas) after it ends.

    And like you said, this new disease skill line hardly requires much modification to the existing special effects, because in Scalecaller Peak, there are already exploding rats, green poisonous fog, dirty water, and Various green projectiles.

    Nah, what's more likely to happen is them implementing a scroll crafting instead spellcrafting. Through out most of TES games there used to be one time use scrolls that could give the player a potentially powerful spell or effect for a short moment.
    How it would look like is you selecting specific buffs, debuffs and attacks, for example: Major Courage, self heal over 5 seconds and minor expedition; or another example but offensive; 4 second stun, a standard damage over time (type of dmg can be chosen) and minor vulnerability.
    How they would implement is by making the scrolls crafted from already existing runes one can use for enchanting, adding a new tab when crafting runes on enchanting table for scrolls. The scrolls would replace potions cooldown as not to make it too OP, giving players a choice between using a scroll or a potion. Hell, they could even give a lore reason like how Shalidor just invented a new method for making scrolls and tie the whole mechanic with mages guild.
