I just heard about this - it looks like this might have hit me as well.

My main all of a sudden has quest states offset in Vvardenfell (that's where I first noticed it), and now I'm noticing it's almost like the game forgot which quests I've done, even though I've done them so I can't redo them.

Notably this happened after they did the PTS copy, so I still have the unbugged state on PTS right now that I can compare.

EDIT: Oh man, I'm getting the same thing for all zones as everyone else here - lots of stuff missing in the zone guides, and 8/9 quests magically recorded for Necrom despite me not touching that questline yet. And it's the same set as you have, all but the penultimate.

I'm not sure what caused this bug since it only started to act up yesterday, and the PTS copy they made before that is fine. But of course I was in Cyrodiil a lot during the event - I hear a lot of people are talking about Cyrodiil, but I don't know a definite trigger for what happened. All I know is that it bugged out sometime between them making the PTS character copy and yesterday, and all I really did was run a bit more in Cyrodiil to get to the next PvP rank. I don't remember d/cing or anything of the sort.

EDIT 2: and the Tales of Tribute queueing is unavailable for me because it "requires completion of Tales of Tribute (quest)." Despite the fact that I literally just played an NPC match against an expert NPC on this character...

EDIT 3: Ok, so I did a bit more checking and it's mostly visual insofar as quests are complete and the skill points are all there. However, there are some things that are blocking progress, namely the fact that people affected by this bug are unable to queue for Tribute games. I do notice though that if a quest hub does change world state, the world state is going to be incorrect due to this bug. For example, I'm constantly seeing the volcanic embers and no music in Vivec city (though Baar Dau is not falling) because my game doesn't recognize the Morrowind line as complete. I also went to the Starved Plain in Stonefalls and I'm seeing the ghosts as hostile, instead of them being non-hostile and the weather being rainy as it should be (and as it is for this character on PTS)

I saw surprised, because I only did PvP in Cyrodiil the whole time while waiting for a response from support, and the objectives seems to be fine there. It was after when I clicked on IC, then I realized IC was messed up as well.

From my observation, it seems that objectives that are related to quests are affected by this bug.

At least I'm not the only one, but it's concerning that nobody's found what caused it yet. But it does seem that we all did something in Cyrodiil before it happened. Unfortunately it was during a PvP event, so it's likely that there were a lot of players who went to Cyrodiil. Even here, I can see it only affects my main, not any of my other characters.

Just by looking at how things work, it seems that quest completion is marked in multiple places, and they are out of sync. We obviously have a quest log by character (one that is not visible to players, but is recorded when we do a quest) that's fine, but completing a quest sets a flag to flip a map marker to white or to alter a world state in a given area, and that's all been reset to the 'incomplete' state.

But the fact that affected players are no longer able to queue for Tales of Tribute games does mean that this is actively blocking gameplay as intended; it's not just visual.

@ZOS_Kevin , is there any acknowledgement that we can get of this bug? It's not just a visual thing (as annoying as that is), it's actively stopping players from doing content they paid for.

I had the hope that it will be fixed with todays maintainance, but the problem is still there...

I'm getting this too on my main. Every zone is bugged with stuff missing, and I can't queue for ToT.

Now that I know this is a bug several people are experiencing though, I guess I didn't really expect it'd be fixed yet. I would, however, like to have someone comment on this that they recognize it as an issue.

Again, this bug is actively preventing players from accessing content they paid for.

I still don't know what caused it, besides the fact that most of us are saying we were in Cyrodiil (for the event), but then noticed it a while later so we can't nail down a cause. I know my character is not bugged on PTS so it has to have been something that happened between when they made the PTS copy (which was before Sunday at 11EDT, since I have a timestamp for getting an achieve on live that I don't have on PTS) and when I noticed Vivec city was borked sometime later Sunday or early Monday. All I know I did on Sunday was be in Cyro for a while, and I did the following:

• completed the 'Kill someone who wields Volendrung' achievement
• completed the 'Kill 100 Arcanists' achievement
• levelled up from PvP rank 35 to 36

Obviously I did some quests and such in the mean time, but nothing else notable happened. I can't recall any crashes or anything else.

I don't know if any of my characters are affected, I'm going to check shortly.

However a few people are mentioning being in Cyrodiil before noticing it's affecting them, so I am wondering whether this is in some way related to the problems experienced with all the Alliance war data showing incorrectly/not registering properly that were happening recently.

Didn't they hotfix these issues? Maybe those fixes broke something? I mean that wouldn't be unheard of or even unusual!!

Also, when you all went into PvP for the event, did you start the whitestrakes quest again (speak to the npc and acquire the scroll) or did you use a scroll from a previous event?

...interesting, another guildie who's affected said they also got the 'Kill 100 Arcanists' achieve.

So here's a major question for anyone who's affected: Do you have that one? And is the bug on the character who earned the 100th kill?

Interesting... let me ask some of my guildies.

I suppose here's a set of questions for everyone who has this bug to help ZOS figure out what's going on:

• Did you have any account changes (i.e. achievements, crashes, etc.) before you noticed this bug?
• Is the bug specific to one character on your account, or did it hit multiples?
• If only one character, is it the one you were on when any of the changes happened?

For me, those three things I did (two PvP achieves and one PvP rank increase) happened on the one character who's currently bugged. None of my other characters are affected. Granted, they haven't done as much as my main, but I guess it's a start.

All of my characters are affected although only my main went into cyrodiil. I did crash out of cyrodiil right before I noticed the bug (this was Saturday July 1). I don’t recall if there was a connection with the 100 arcanist achievement.

I did submit a ticket for the ToT bug that day but I didn’t notice the quest bug until after that and I didn’t submit a second ticket.

I had the kill 100 arcanists before I noticed I had the bug, but I have no idea how long I was bugged before I noticed.

I truly hope this is accurate. I do believe this is Cyrodiil related - everyone I know who has the bug was in Cyrodiil for MYM at the beginning of last week.

I was in Cyrodiil nearly every day for Mayhem event and haven’t noticed any problems yet.

I saw some posts about some players getting credit for Necrom quests even though they didn’t have them done. Is this bug related to Necrom? Perhaps people bought the chapter but did not do quests yet, or perhaps it is only people who did not buy the new chapter.
