Confirm Rolis purchase or a sell back option

Can we either get an extra "E" to confirm a rolis purchase or a sell back option? I accidentally buy things I don't intend to while mindlessly turning in master writs. #qualityoflife

The snarky answer is don't be mindless.

The more reasonable answer is that if they did then you know it would never be a 1 to 1 refund, it would be like deconning a gold item... you put 8 tempers into that, you only get one back.

The really snarky answer would be "Yeah, when I get the chance to put back something I stole 'mindlessly by accident' before I saw the guard looking at me".

I think a non snarky sentiment here would be... confirmation should only be added if it is optional. The extra click would drive other people crazy.

I can see some type of system when it works kind of like the dungeon trading system. Put a timer on items so you could sell back non stolen items purchased from a vendor within 2 hours. Might be harder and not worth the development or performance though as you would need to track ownership of an item and time acquired, and clear it if the item was listed or changed hands. Not super simple for a request that probably isn't too broadly desired. But maybe I'm wrong. :)

I can say I have been doing master writs for years and never once have I purchased something by accident. So for me this goes into the "would be fine as long as it doesn't lower my QoL" which would be adding unnecessary clicks or degrading performance of the game due to timers or anything like that.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

If I sell crap to a vendor I can buy it back at the same price for some period of time. Looking for the same in reverse. Making it a toggle is fine too. I do batches of 50 - 70 writs and it's "I" --> "E" --> "E" --> "E" --> Get insulted --> ESC. Repeat.

Some option to sell back would be great. I'd be fine if it was limited to even a few minutes, but it should be there.

Reason: Unintended double-clicks can happen. And those turn a preview into a purchase. Over time I have bought ugly, useless stuff I never wanted from Rolis, The Impresario, and the Luxury guy, just because I wanted to preview it.

So support a sell-back option. A confirm request would work as well, I don't care which. Or, at the very least, put preview and buy at different keys for those vendors.

Speaking of previews, it's not just clicking it in a shop that causes problems. The keyboard PREVIEW button to look at a furnishing plan in the inventory is the CRAFTING button when you're at a crafting station, where preview for no apparent reason switches to a different button. Happy times when you end up making a furnishing by accident using something like chromium plating. ESO is riddled with interface problems like this.

If you're on PC, get the writworthy and lazy writ crafter mods. Auto turns in your writs upon speaking to the npc with no risk of ever touching the shop. And you can turn in multiple at once.

The issue is when I'm doing the I->E->E->E sequence to turn in multiples if I botch the timing or otherwise don't get back into my inventory then E->E->E triggers a Rolis purchase.

Been using it so long that I was wondering how you can buy stuff while turning in master writs. Thought it was maybe a console thing. 😁

I'd like an option to knee Rolis hard in the <snips>, then try my luck at evading the guards.

You can not believe how many Animus Stones i have accidently bought. A buyback option would be very nice.

Like I said, you can totally bypass even having to press any of these buttons by using addons. Its much faster, and you don't even have to press anything, other than opening the writs in your inventory to initiate the quests. You have no risk of ever touching the shop using addons. No more I>E>E>E ever.

If you had an expensive accidental purchase you might try opening a support ticket and asking politely if they can remove the item you did not intend to buy from your inventory and refund the vouchers. Costs only figuring out in which category it belongs, some typing and waiting, even if the final answer is no.
