✭Restoration Staff (Healer)Once I tested Bastian and Mirri with the dreugh queen worldboss in the center of stormhaven, and some "medium" enemies in the very west of fargrave.
They were doing these "solo", I just stayed in range and blocked in the rare cases when the enemies attacked me, e.g. when Mirri used the invisibility skill.
Problem with several setups, including sword&shield tank was, that both died during these fights.
The only setup where at least Mirri survived, was:
- resto staff (purple quality)
- full heavy armor (blue quality)
- 3 blue jewelry
- traits for taking less damage, and 3-4 for faster ultimate regeneration.
- only 1 damage skill, the rest all shield/heal + the class ultimate
Mirri was in advantage, as she has a skill that makes her invisible, simultaneously healing her. Her final lifesaver.
She finished the worldboss in approx. 15 minutes this way, with me doing no damage at all.
I use this setup since then on all of my companions (mostly upgraded to purple), also Ember, and they have become valuable fighters now in normal dungeons, and even often survive worldboss fights, but not always. Now and then I need to revive them, but it is worth the effort, as for example Ember has a skill that does quite some damage (20k or so) to enemies below 25% health.
Compared to companions of most other players who die like flies at worldbosses, they are far more robust.

^This! It's so annoying that range weapons cause them to constantly roll away, causing resets or just dragging them farther away from you at the very least.
