The Imperfect Ring Change

"The Imperfect Ring: The cost of this ability will now be based off your lowest Max Resource."

This is a really weird change that I don't fully agree with. I am not sure how much this will actually help with sustain. It honestly looks like a nerf, especially to magicka characters. There was no dev note so I don't know why they went this route.

Edit: For wording and spelling.

Yeah this change was WAY out of left field and random.

Actually, more like LOL Random a la TV Tropes - just weird for the sake of being weird.

With every skill having a cost that depends on max resource is bad for sustain. You use it every 20s anyway so it's gonna help your sustain a bit by removing one skill that costs your main resource and add one that costs your off resource. Imagine playing stamina Arcanist, having 0 stam and full mag. It's to avoid stuff like that. I love it, ngl

Seems like a pve buff tbh. Less magicka or stamina sustain required

I mean for stam toons sure, since magicka is a dump stat. But magicka characters are going to suffer for this. Pve won't feel it as bad as pvp sure, but it's still kind of a dumb way to help with sustain. If stam is your lowest stat you need that for basically everything that keeps you alive.

This is the ONLY skill like this, and we don't exactly know WHAT the scaling is like, yet. Second, not everyone will be using this skill anyway, as I've heard it's pretty lackluster to begin with.

This is a good change! Good grief, stop saying things are a nerf when you don't understand it.
Being able to draw on the opposite resource helps sustain. Mag or stam, it doesn't matter. Good change. Different, interesting, good.

Dawg I said it looked like a Nerf, I just don't see it benefiting magicka heavy builds as much as stam heavy builds. Why don't you stop putting words in my mouth. Different and interesting does not always equal good. Needs testing first. This isn't a panic thread, I just wanted to see what others thought.

Yeah thats fair, I have been in the pts for a hour or two now and it doesn't seem to effect much of anything honestly. The reduced cost on fatecarver seems to have done more work for their sustain then anything.
