Wait so other classes get buffed while Stamblades (Which already one of the weakest) get nerfed?

Yes, this ^ It's my favourite class to dps on too... The rotation is hard but it's fun, but for all the trouble they are towards 'ok-ish but meh compared to everything else' territory.

Same, no other class gives me the fun as what a nightblade does. I tried to play as a magblade but it just didn't feel right for my own personal playstyle. Stmablades need a 'rework' (either a buff to SA to have a similar effect to the magicka one (albeit different)) or class passives which will buff it a bit (direct physical attacks or something).

Yes, a buff to SA to bring it on par would be a good solution because as a stamNB you wouldn't need to slot concealed weapon to just sit there passively like we do now, which not only takes up a skill slot but means we have to use another skill for a spammable, like silver shards. I really wish they would do something like that and bring the spec back to life @ZOS_Gilliam @ZOS_BrianWheeler

    Exactly, AMEN to that.

There only 4 dungeons (optional) and one trial PER YEAR. The rest what you call as PVE is a visual novel with housing where is your thread as much relative as pvp for you

Reminder me again how much "PVP new content" there is per year? ahh right, there is not.

And doing the trial is one thing, progressing the Trifecta of them is a lonnnnngg time, especially for newer players.

Overall it’s about the same single target damage regardless. If you had concealed weapon on the bar before, just keep it there and use concealed weapon once in a while now. Wear 2 or maybe 3 pieces of light armor to help adjust for magic regen

The place where this is an actual nerf is AOE damage, magic and stamina nightblade both have mediocre AOE DPS as it is. With prior updates you could spam cast all AOE skills and get the 10% buff passively. Now you must use a single target ability every 10 seconds to gain the buff for the rest of your AOE skills, or more likely you would skip the buff altogether now since casting the single target ability early would diminish average AOE DPS. Either way it’s dropping quite a lot

Lol you have no clue how hard magicka maintenance is for stamblades in PVE, also spam it every 10 sec? its worthless and would drain my fully after about 30 sec with the mediocre stamblade build ..

Please stop justifying ignorance .. there is no justification for it.

I think we're at different levels of coping. 90% of the bad changes ZOS throws in at the first pts cycle make it through. This change is really bad because it doesn't even bridge whatever perceived gap they're trying to adjust, and it just makes both magic and stam builds weaker with their already weak AOE dps.

All I play is stamblade, and no you wouldn't want to spam concealed weapon every 10 seconds, that's a waste of resources. There's no need to buff damage just before applying DOT skills. Use it just after applying dots, just before using direct damage abilities and incapacitating strike. I tested and found that 1 piece of light armor is enough magic regen, 2-3 for solo or small group. I tested the work around on PTS to see whether I'm taking a break from the game, and got the same dps with the same gear as live, even though the Catalyst potion passive is bugged and there are fewer ultimates used.

My man, 112k isn't "that high" when compared to the current 131k on live (with a really bad combo of CW and DS). It's that the stamblades are just quite below other DDs, and they needed to waste one slot with a 10% damage increase alongside one of the worst spammables (DS) which was at least fine that you didn't need to cast it. Now after the PTS it's going to be even worse where you have to cast the damn spammable. The rotation to have awesome damage will be so complicated that you should just switch to another class to have the same amount of damage without that much complication as on stamblades currently.

Also that's on a parse and your magicka regen was in the negative. Try to do some content and see whether you'll have magicka or not.

The game is more than dummy parsing. That same wood elf RP build seems to be out-DPSing all the magblades on the public logs for Yolnakrin HM, and regular vet Yolnakrin for whatever that’s worth. it’s the only trial fight I’ve been in where I’m not busy going into portals or waiting in tombs

The mag regen on the pts parse was slightly higher than the drain. In trials my magic is always topped off with dark shade, merciless, twisting path, so I’m not really concerned

1K difference is just 'user error'.

Also, the build above could be good as they're using the bow spammable either way, for malee DD completely different story.

Edit: Also didn't show the uptime of the buff in CMX.

Super sad that reading the new PTS patch didn't change anything regarding to stamblades. 'masters of assination' have to apparently use big swings, charged to be half-decent (half decent needs to be highlighted due to the DK problem but everyone has it).

Sure templars also have a channel but they don't need to use a secondary spammable skill to temp. buff all of the output...

Not to mention the other HUGE nerf to NB which is the 100 meter detect stealth pots. Still no word about whether this was intended or not, but it's gone through several of the patches now.

World bosses are pretty challenging in DLCs. Some years the "dolmen equivalent" is as well. I usually die the first time I try a public dungeon "group event" too (unless I'm not on a solo try).
