(IDEA) Help Newbies with Understanding No-Proc Sets

So while checking out the campaigns I've notice that the No-Proc campaigns don't actually quite tell you which sets are proc and which aren't, and I came up with a very simple solution.

Just grey out the line of the piece of armor as if you not have all the pieces equipped while in the campaign.

This was done with the perfected sets when they aren't complete, so why not for no-proc campaigns?

Idk what do you guys think?

Has been suggested, has not been implemented.

    +1 for visibility.

    That solution would certainly work.

At the very least we should get an updated list of sets - Kevin agreed that would be helpful too, but that was a year ago and so far we've heard nothing since. Any progress on this front would be nice at this point.

ETA: To clarify, it's not about which sets are no-proc but which proc sets function in no-proc. Things like Titanborn and Pariah's are still proc sets because they require processing, which is how ZOS uses the term "proc", but they've been reworked to function in no-proc campaigns. That's part of what makes it very hard to determine what's working and what's not. It's not as simple as saying "this is a proc" and "this is not a proc" but rather "this is a proc set that functions in no-proc" vs. "this is a proc set that doesn't function in no-proc". For example, Pariah's and Coral Riptide both scale, but one grants armor in exchange for health while the other grants weapon/spell damage in exchange for stamina. Pariah's works in no-proc; Coral doesn't. That all is to say it's especially important for ZOS to indicate what should work and what shouldn't, since there's no consistent ruleset without a lot of inferences and guesswork.

I'm in favor of ZoS explaining as much as possible to both new players and veteran players alike.

Cannot be done. It would be like saying that you can't play this game how you want.

That ship sailed a long time ago, including for no-proc. They were very transparent about disabling all but 19 fifth-piece bonuses for an entire update in all campaigns and about disabling proc sets in no-CP campaigns going forward; they also tried to be transparent about which proc sets they had recoded to work in no-proc after that. The issue was they gave us a very incomplete list and have never corrected or updated it, exacerbating the friction caused by the restrictions rather than minimizing it. They should want people to know just how many sets work in no-proc now, especially as the in-game text for no-CP campaigns still misleads players into thinking that no proc sets actually do. Currently their information states that no-proc is more restrictive than it is, so it is in their interests to correct that.

The fact that there isn't any official way to see which sets work and which sets don't just shows how little ZOS cares about PvP.

Help newbie lol. Even veterans have hard time guessing which set is and which isn't considered a non-proc by ZoS.

to go along with this, every time new sets are added there is no mention if they should or should not work in no proc, because sometimes they are not obvious if they should be considered a proc or not

Yes, definitely part of the problem!

I need an updated list on what counts as a proc, like av706pg9xn60.png
is somehow a proc set but has 0 procs, all you need is to have a pet active

that technically is a proc, because of it being "conditional" to being active

but as has been said by others, there are sets that work in no proc like pariah that probably should also be considered proc because its dynamically scaling your resists based on missing health (and one of the reasons why the no proc campaign is terrible, both for no list/indicator of what works and what doesnt, and inconsistency on what is allowed or not)

Explaining how their game actually works would let us play how we want more effectively.

Maybe we players should make a list in the forums of all the sets in the game showing whether or not they are "proc" sets and whether or not they work in "no-proc" campaigns-- kind of like the list of motifs and whether or not they drop during the annual Anniversary event. We can update it as needed.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic.

    Thank you for your understanding
