I was glad to see that there's a cooldown as that separates it from streak. It should not be a better streak. Portals also take a lot of energy to create so it adds to immersion as well.

It feels kind of like Streak and Shadow Image had a baby. It manages to still feel unique and the 7 seconds flies by before you know it. I can already see the potential this has for baitng people off ledges for Cyro and maps in BGs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but teleporting doesn't interupt your GCD casts so for 7 seconds you can pop back and forth for no cost while you continue to use other abilities while having easy 100% major expedition uptime. Your oponent can gap close or run, but both interactions require resources and GCD's that you get to spend on core damage skills that fit within this mid range type of combat scenario.
